We were heading to Boston Harbor Distillery but seen sign about winery and we were excited. As we pulled up and said let's go here before the distillery, as we stopped in and they were closed due to a wedding. Recommended to come back another time, in which we did. Boston Winery is a delightful surprise nestled outside the heart of the city. This urban winery offers an intimate escape from the hustle and bustle, providing a cozy ambiance perfect for wine enthusiasts and newcomers alike. The diverse selection of wines, expertly crafted on-site, showcases a commitment to quality and innovation. Overall great experience.

Very cute winery in Dorchester, MA (even though it says Boston Winery in the name). I went there through an online app called Alohop (a small platform where people can discover fun experiences run by local businesses). Through the app, my bf and I got 2 vouches, $18 each, for 5 wine tastings and a few slices of pizza. It was very worth it! We had a great selection for the wine tastings and even bought one home. The staff was friendly and helped us understand the different wines we tasted. They conversed with us and it felt like we were on a tour. It was a very beautiful space inside. The tables were well spaced out so we did not feel cramped. There was even a cute shop to look at all the different wines they have made. I highly recommend Boston Winery to everyone and would go again soon when their official tours open up!

I went for a wine tasting back in March and it was lovely! The tables were very well spaced out, and we tasted 6 delicious wines. I left with 1 bottle of cabernet and 1 bottle of a white wine- both were polished off very quickly by friends and family. The staff was great and the barn where we had the tasting was very cute. The "pizza" we ate during the tasting was a bit odd but I assume they are required to serve some sort of food.

We came here after a historical tour and in much need of time to unpack what we learned and unwind. We walked in and were poured a couple glasses of wine before being taken on a tour of the back room. Our tour guide, Ralphie, was super knowledgeable and was very okay with all the questions I peppered him with. We had a great time and the wine itself was wonderful. We sampled five wines before purchasing the mixed white one that we adored. We came here to celebrate Valentine's Day and I loved the romantic vibe of the place. They also apparently do weddings -- which I may look into when the time comes. All of the wines were phenomenal but my favorite was the mixed white one and sparking red. They are a little sweeter so better to taste toward the end, but all very wonderful.

My fiancée and I had an amazing time here. We booked the indoor tasting for 90 mins which included 5 tasting and a individual pizza. The staff is extremely welcoming and friendly. Honestly, this place was nothing short of amazing. The customer service was unmatched from start to finish, looking forward to our next visit. Cheers!

Went here last weekend with my boyfriend and had a wonderful time! We were greeted by Ralphie who took the time to explain how things work, show us around and start us off on our wine tasting. He was very knowledgeable about the wine and friendly to chat with as we tried them. We were taken on a tour of the room where they make the wine and learned all about the process and how the winery came about with the families history. It was a very nice relaxed atmosphere, they really do make you feel like you're part of the family. We will definitely be back!

What a great hidden gem this is! I guess technically it is in Boston but it lies on the Boston border of Dorchester and Quincy. For $10 you get a tasting of 3 full glasses of wine as well as a very educational experience(When you pruchase 2 bottles your tasting is free).. Out of the 3 I tried the Muscat was my favorite. They told me that they get most of their grapes from California through brokers and the whole wine making process is on site. They even gave us a tour of their entire facilities. The price of their bottles are very reasonable, from about $18 - 22. They will even let you buy a barrell of wine and rebrand the bottles yourselves as you can take part in the wine making. Very cool spot.

Good drinks and service, no outside food…read more I have been coming to Nashoba Valley Winery for years now. They have a spectacular variety of wines, liquors and beers to choose from. Their beverage offerings really run the gamut, and are worth stopping in to peruse. I particularly like the fruit wine here, and always make it a point to get a bottle. Their property is very large and has planted vines and fruit trees on the farm. In the store you will find their products, a bar, and a restaurant. They also have a huge event space and tasting room that demonstrates some very nice wood beam construction. They offer glasses and bottles as well as guided tastings, and another tasting system where you buy tokens that can be exchanged at different rates for a taste of one of their products. This system can be frustrating and a bit disjointed (lots of getting up and down and exchanging tokens). They do allow you to buy more tokens to try more drinks, and you even get to keep your glass! Service is wonderful as always. The staff are very attentive and kind to the visitors. I will comment that Nashoba does not allow outside food. This can be very disappointing if you plan on bringing your own charcuterie. They do offer food on a limited menu. This can be disappointing for picky eaters, but they do try to offer a variety of items for everyone to enjoy. Definitely make a trip out here for some delicious drinks!!

He is the dodgiest businessman I've ever encountered, to the point where I feel obligated to write my first Yelp review. I do not like sharing negative information but this treatment pushed me to share my experience so that it won't happen to anyone else. To reserve a tour, you first have to pay a deposit at the time of booking (fair enough) but then you have to pay in full for each person ($70/pp) the week before the tour. The owner, Joe, also encouraged me to pay for gratuity for each person ahead of the tour but at least I didn't do that piece on my credit card. So before even setting foot on this tour, I paid $840 for a party of 12. As luck would have it, our tour date was the weekend of Winter Storm Riley, that super windy Nor'easter/ Bombogenesis! We had friends joining from out of town who couldn't make it due to canceled flights and power outages. I got in touch with Joe the morning of our tour and told him 3 people couldn't join us (which later turned into 4 ppl), could he please help us out so we didn't have to pay in full for everyone who wasn't able to attend due to extreme weather and got the response of "Hey no problem! I will look when I get home... I'm already down here setting up.. so just come have a good time! :-)" Foolishly, I thought this meant he would help us out. I was wrong. Although Joe was at the restaurants before, during and after our tour, and had them rearrange the place settings to be set-up for our smaller group, he claimed there was nothing he could do about the extra $280 I had paid. I talked about this with him at the end of the tour (he awkwardly showed up at our last stop and took over for our much more personable tour guide) and he kept telling me that he would look into when he got home on his computer but there was nothing he could do now. While we were standing in the restaurant. Read: I don't want you to stiff us on the tip. (I did still tip our tour guide.) So the next day I followed up with him and asked for an update on the extra $280 I paid and was told he was working with the restaurants to see if he could get a refund for what he paid. When I reminded him he had told me this would be "no problem", he ended the email by saying "So I'm working with the locations to see if I can retrieve money back so I need some time. I promise I will do my best to help you out." I wrote to him and asked for another update yesterday, 7 days after our tour, before I wrote any reviews. No response. After not hearing back from Joe, who had told me he was "working with the locations", I decided to call one of the locations. Guess what? Joe had never contacted them. The owner was very sorry to hear this and said of course he would have helped out. He even kindly offered us free food the next time we go in since, as he said, we were getting "a sh!tty deal". The restaurants were great. Once caught in this lie, Joe told me there was nothing he could do about a refund but he offered me another wine tour. Riiiiight. A few ways Joe could have made this less painful of an experience was (1) not to lie repeatedly about helping me out with a refund. Why string me along? (2) given us something for the $280 I paid. If nothing else, give us the wine that I had pre-paid for, or the small bites at the restaurants. Just as a good business gesture of "Hey I'm sorry so many friends couldn't make it due to the insane weather and you have to eat the costs...here's an extra _ANYTHING_ for your trouble!" He had enough time to tell the restaurants our group size was smaller, just not enough to return some of the extra money he pocketed, so we paid the extra money for absolutely nothing. For $840 we got: 3 stops at restaurants basically next door to each other (Area Four, Lion's Tail, Fuji) At Area Four: 1 bottle of red, 1 bottle of white (retails for $19.99) poured amongst 9 people (incl tour guide) plus two small cheese flatbreads At Lion's Tail: 1 bottle of red and 1 bottle of white poured amongst 9 and two meat/cheese boards (several vegetarians on our tour but you don't get asked about the food that's been pre-arranged) At Fuji: 1 bottle of wine and 1 of champagne poured amongst 10 people (owner, Joe, jumped in here) plus edamame and spicy tuna rolls for the table (again, many didn't eat these) In summary, we paid $840 for 6 bottles of wine plus nibbles from the host kitchens that many wouldn't eat, and got lied to by the owner for a week until he gave up the lie and told me he has a no refund policy. It was painful. Please don't make the same mistake!

The winery is open 12-4 on weekends and allows you to bring in your own food, which was the perfect way for us to enjoy some local wine in a beautiful setting. There is seating inside the house, outside on a covered patio area, and they have tables scattered across the lawn so there are many options to pick from. We each decided on a wine flight before selecting some bottles and paired it with the snack trays we brought from home and we enjoyed a relaxing afternoon together on the grounds of this vineyard. One thing to note, the road to the winery is very narrow so they employ a metered light system at the beginning of the road. It's important to wait for the red light to turn off before driving down the narrow stretch. The person in front of me didn't do this and ended up having to back up (reverse) down a narrow and winding path to allow the incoming cars (who had the right of way) through. For visitors with mobility needs, there is a grass parking lot and lots of cobblestones and lose rock to navigate during your time here, so be mindful of that. There are a few stairs in order to gain entry into the house to shop/select the wines and the bathroom is not wheelchair accessible.

"Walk in as strangers, leave as friends."…read more If that's not a saying that makes you want to head there now, then I don't know what is LOL! Obviously, there is more to the new renovated location of La Cantina than this saying but I will say I was pretty impressed when I saw it and knew I had to add it to my review. Let's just say it is pretty accurate. We did leave as friends since we made a few at the bar and then some. Just saying! La Cantina winery in Franklin, MA used to be a small wine bar that offered wine tasting flights and minimal food. BUT, now it is in a stunning new location (not far from their old stomping grounds). Fun Fact: It used to be a Mechanic garage. Well, wait until you see how it has turned from fixing cars to wine making and tasting. YOU HAVE GOT TO COME HERE! Parking is easy with plenty of spots. They have a lot of room at their gorgeous bar, but they also have high tops and tables for families or a large group. And, they host events here too; birthday parties, bridal showers, and anything in between, this place is it. I actually want to hold one of my milestone birthday parties here but well keep the number a secret for now. Service: Alana was our bartender and she was wonderful. Always asking us what we needed and how were doing. You don't get this upscale service any where else. And, when I wanted another sample of something she gave it to me without a fuss. Always with a smile on her face, she was the best. Wine: They have an excellent wine menu to choose from and they offer flights for about $25 pp. Flights are the best way to try multiple wines. I personally loved most of the red wines with Petit Sirah being my favorite. My husband loved their Barbera! I did sample their Sauv Blanc too which was nice but it was too cold to have a full pour. Food: Their menu is great with a ton of options from charcuterie, to tapas and some entrees. I will say some of their items can get expensive but definitely worth it. We started with a few cheeses and prosciutto. Then we ordered one of their popular pizzas called La Cantina. Everything was fresh, made in house with their beautiful pizza oven right smack in the middle of the bar. You have got to see this thing, its huge! Overall: If I could give this place 10 stars I would. We had the best time and we can't wait to go back. Franklin is not far from where we live but still a good 30 minute drive and also not far from the Wrentham outlets. We didn't have to make a reservation for a Sunday afternoon but I bet Saturdays can get pretty busy. I just loved everything about this wine bar and I know you will too! Cheers~
