I told Aiden that my apartment wouldn't be available to be shown until after 5 as I was working from home. This did not stop the liar from trespassing at 2 while I was at lunch. I called and asked if it was him who I was watching on security footage walking around my unit taking videos, and he said, "Gee, I don't know, I must have memory problems," in a singsong mocking tone. I applied for a lease on Mission Hill. The minute I had an issue with my process the realtor completely ghosted me. No response no matter what happened. No information was given, as well as no information on any further steps. A realtor is supposed to help both parties but once the risk of losing a commission happened, this realtor disappeared. read more

Hello, Yelpers! This is my second review of Boston Realty Online since I was forced to retract my first review due to threat of legal action by Mr. Anthony Buonpane, owner of Boston Realty Online. Mr. Buonpane had assured me that he would change his ways, but I have recently discovered that he is still continuing in his unprofessional matters. Thus, my second review. To give you all the complete picture of what my roommates and I experienced, here is an e-mail I wrote to Mr. Buonpane after he continued to call me and text me saying that he was "sick to his stomach" over my "just cruel" review of him on Yelp. [March 30, 2011 -- To: Mr. Buonpane] Dear Anthony, I am sorry that you are upset by what I shared on Yelp, but it is an account of what I experienced while working with you. The incident concerning our dog and the lease is besides the point of what I wrote on Yelp. My roommates and I were very displeased at the way you spoke to and treated us. It was very rude when you said to me in front of the other girls, "Don't you trust them? You shouldn't be living with them if you don't trust them." Naturally, we did not all come prepared with our checkbooks (you didn't tell us to do so) and though the urgency of the deal is understandable, you were more concerned about what was convenient for you and not for us. This statement among others said throughout the evening did not sit well with us. It is understandable that the deal fell through because of our dog, but the way in which you carried out the rest of our business together was very rude. You gave us the option of you shredding our information or us coming to pick it up. And when I requested the latter, you replied that you would not be in the area and insisted on shredding it yourself. Why would you even give us the option of coming to pick it up if you were not readily willing to accommodate for that? In addition, the night we signed the lease, you assured us that you would refund our credit check and application fee in case the deal fell through. The deal did fall through, and yet you continued to give me a hard time when I requested the $80 refund. All in all, your comments and responses to our requests were not professional or customer friendly. Even just the fact of you texting me, calling me, and e-mailing my roommates about this criticism continues to demonstrate your unprofessional demeanor. I sincerely hope that you will take what I said about your mannerisms as constructively as possible. I would appreciate it if you ceased all communication with me and my roommates. I appreciate you taking the time to elaborate further your feelings and experience with me. I loose track of myself sometimes, working day in and day out, nearly 90 straight days of apartment rentals can really affect one's personality and judgement. I sincerely need a vacation. Your review implies that I handled your deposit in an illegal fashion. The fact remains, your check was not cashed. Your paperwork was returned immediately. You refused my professional advice and then refused to answer my calls. My legal advisor has reviewed the situation and is ready to file suit against you. I have made several attempts to reach out to you to remedy the situation. Unless you are willing to compromise, this will be the last time I communicate with you directly. A court summons will be issued to your house in Brighton if you do not respond. I will be filing suit for several thousand dollars in company damages. Anyhow, I replied to him a few days later questioning why he was pursuing this matter since he has a 4.5 star review on Yelp and asked if he took that vacation that he mentioned in his previous e-mail. He disregarded my concern for his well-being and suggested to "remove the review from Yelp and cease and desist any and all future postings regarding this matter." Then he would drop the case against me, to which I complied. But, after hearing about more incidences where is unprofessionalism is still running amok, I am posting this extensive review of him now. We wanted to rent an apartment for a young professional in Boston and since Boston Realty Online has such good ratings we've sent an email to Preston. Never got an answer, so we tried general email - again, no answer. We figured out that maybe Mr. Buonpane would answer - again, silence for the past three days, and I don't expect he will answer either. Very disappointing and offensive when supposedly great company ignores potential clients! Respectful company at least answers that they cannot help you. read more

With Covid happening and it being a few days after move in I just wanted to say how awesome it was to find an apartment last minute in the city! Luckily prices have dropped recently and our agent Nick was able to hook me and my roommates up with a spot in Mission Hill that's pretty close to campus. Update: Anthony called me as soon as he saw my Yelp review to let me know that he has actually severed ties with my landlord due to numerous other issues the brokerage firm has experienced working with her. Although I did have a terrible experience in my current apartment, the only suggestion I would have for the business is to screen the landlords they work with a little more. However, I understand that this was difficult to predict and there were no prior red flags when the firm entered this relationship with my landlord. read more

This was my second experience working with realtors and it was by far the best. Anthony is a really great guy whose really looking out for his clients best interest. He is not rude at all, he's really nice and was very knowledgable of the entire neighborhood. I had the pleasure to Work with one of the agents at Boston Realty online, Bianca Marescia. She's a great person to work with, with our apartment hunting. Our landlord decided to sell the unit and within one-month left in our lease, we had no idea where to go. Being a graduate student taking summer courses, this was not an ideal situation however; Bianca was able to quickly help us with our situation. She showed us apartments the moment we reached out to her (within a few days) and told us the pros and cons of each place, being professional and giving as an objective advice on each apartment we saw. She was able to find us a great apartment in our budget. Bianca was also very quick to respond to our e-mail and text messages, and was willing to meet up with us in the evening (to fit my roommate and I's schedule) to create an application to secure the apartment ASAP. So what could've been a long dragged out hassle of finding an apartment for a month ended only week-long apartment hunting. She was attentive to our budget, what we were looking for, location, etc. and was able to deliver those desires within a short period of time. Anthony and Ian made the process very easy when finding a new apartment just this week. My roommates and I were looking sort of "last minute" but we were able to find a 3 bedroom/1 bathroom apartment in Brighton. Anthony could not meet with me but sent his associate Ian who was very helpful and knowledgable about the area and the apartments we looked at, answering all of our questions. I would recommend Boston Realty Online to anyone. I am recently graduated and have spent the last 5 years dealing with horrible realtors and I can honestly say this company was so far above the others. My roommates and I worked with Bianca, who was the nicest and sweetest person ever. She was able to answer all of our questions with extensive knowledge and showed us at least 10 places on our first day of searching. Other realtors never even took the time to show us more than 3 at a time. This group of people are far more personable than any realty firm I have had to deal with. They were straight forward, honest and extremely helpful and specialized in the neighborhood where we wanted to live. (Mission hill) We found a place we loved and we signed immediately. They have great relationships with the landlords as well which made our signing much easier. Its clear how well they handle themselves, their business and their clients and because of Bianca I felt like it was the first time a realtor actually cared about getting you the place that fits your needs, not about getting the commission. To go further, after signing our lease we had been considering moving down there early (it was on the open market for a summer lease). We had been struggling to find sublets at our current place and I reached out to both Anthony and Bianca for their advice. They gave me some great info to help us find some subletters. After a week we still had no bites, and Bianca reached out again asking if there was anything she could do to help. She even sent people our way that were looking for a 3 bedroom sublet!! We were becoming desperate and really did not want to get stuck at our current place for the summer. I dont think we would have been able to sublet our place if it wasnt for her. Shes the type of person you just want to become best friends with because she is super trustworthy and has been supporting us in anyway she can. Is that the type of realtor you want? Or do you want the type of realtor who forgets about you as soon as you sign the lease? Go with this group of people. They are fantastic! 5/5 stars for everythingg. Ian Butler has been one of the best realtors I have ever had! My two roommates and I had certain expectations for our appartment and Ian assured that he would only show us appartments with the qualities that we wanted. He did not disappoint and the first appartment he showed us was exactly what we wanted and we ended up signing the lease right after. We were very happy with the service we received, however, our move in day was when Ian showed how truly wonderful of a realtor he is. He came by our appartment at the time we were supposed to move in to check on how everything was going (the first realtor to ever do this for me), and when he found out that the old tenants had not moved out yet, he went out of his way to contact the landlord and find out what we could do. In addition, he felt bad that we could not move in on time that he called his two friends to help us move in. He really went above and beyond what any realtor is supposed to do!
