I come to this Boston Pizza location fairly often, and honestly the food quality can be a bit hit or miss. Today though, the food was good! I ordered the Thai Bites and they were cooked well, and they actually came with the extra sauce I requested (which doesn't always happen even when you ask). I also got the yam fries, which were great. That's something I order almost every time I come here. The ranch dip they use is really good, although sometimes it seems like it's made a little differently and those versions don't taste quite as good. For dessert I had the Chocolate Brownie Addiction. It was good and the brownies were warm, which isn't always the case. This time it didn't come with whipped cream though, which it usually does. I also ordered a root beer with no ice and it did come that way, but I think whoever filled it may have overfilled the glass because the sides were sticky and it made the table a bit wet. Our server was very nice, had a great sense of humor, and checked in on us regularly without being overbearing. The restaurant itself also looked nice -- the decor seemed somewhat newly updated and it was pleasant to sit in. Overall, a good visit today! read more

We went here just a week ago after a long hard day of work...it has been a long while since we visited, but this was exactly what we needed. We ordered the typical pizzas, which were very good, not remarkable but very good. We also ordered a fishbowl or 2. They are literally drinks supersized, in an actual fish bowl! Is very sad that we as a Patrons are treated the way I was treated by Ashley the server. At this point I will never come back to any of the locations of Boston pizza due to the severity of racism that this people have. To tell a customer that they just deny service because one of the server didn't like me and invented an excuse to get me out of the restaurant where I go every night after work. It is a very disrespectful way to treat your customer. And not only that to accuse the customer of things that never happened just because the server didn't like a person for the ethnicity or skin color. I felt targeted by someone that was upset all the time every time I visit the location and unfortunately the manager was siding with her attitude is very upsetting when a person is treated the way that they treat me. The server Ashley is racist and she she showed it today by lie saying that she don't want me At the location and inventing stories of things that I never said, I also know that all the servers are a gang that pretty much make up stories just to make sure that one person because of the skin color and ethnicity get kicked out for no reason. 2024 and we still have people in the industry of services that never get disciplined for they actions. Nice modern lounge with TV's for sports. Only 2 VLTs. Restaurant is OK too with many booths and a patio. Staff are friendly. They have happy hour. There is a free parking lot. I found recently that the toppings on the pizza are very thin and not worth the price. Other places in town have much better pizzas, go figure. The beef tacos had some kind of weird tasting sausage and spoiled the natchos for me (I should have sent them back), therefore I recommend you try the chicken. Pastas are good. Fries are tasty. We always order our usual for pick up or delivery. But we wanted to take our daughter out so we ended up heading in. The food was amazing like usual Thai wrap, perogy pizza, and bugs and cheese. The service though is the three stars. Our server seemed like he didn't care to work at all. His introduction was "what to drink?" No hello or anything. Then when he returned he said "order is?" I honestly have never had a server so uninterested and not talkative. We told him we weren't sure yet and he returned back within two minutes and was like "ok time to order it's getting busy". We wanted to go with something different or try their feature menu but he was not having it. So we went with our regular meals. He checked in once and then when we finally needed our bill. He was no where to be found. If we got him again I'd probably ask for a different server. read more

The food is always fresh and quick getting to me, the service is kind, plus I always walk away satisfied and happy that I went It's a must visiting this place every Wing Wednesday to grab a pound of their award winning wings for half off. Well, we like to take the small children out once a week to a restaurant to give them a treat. We had to get up and ask the hostess to send over a waitress after we waited for 15-20 mins. Food came and it was typical BP's food. We find ourselves waiting again for the waitress to come by so we can ask for ketchup and peppers, had to wave down a different waitress cause we couldn't see ours. Then waiting again for the kids desserts. I had to stand up and walk towards the kitchen to ask for the bill, a box, and m&m's for the kids. I walk around the corner and there is all of the staff standing leaning on the counter like it was a team meeting. I ask our waitress, can I get our bill and walked back to the table. Another waitress walks out (not our waitress). Yes, I did let out a couple of swears under my breath because of course the first thing you read on the machine is what tip would you like to give 15% and up. I said what service and tipped 9%. So the waitress that had the machine goes and tells the manager that I swore at her or whatever (not the case) the manager comes out and gives me crap for swearing at the staff. My wife and I laughed after, because that was not the case. I tried to tell the manager that we waited 15-20 mins at the start and she cuts me off and tells me not to come back. I recommend you take your families else where and tip people that want to provide a proper service. The manager at this location did not have the brain power to ask what the problem was or discuss anything at all. I think that shows a major problem. read more

A fellow Yelper (Adam B. from Halifax) recently opined that there are better local places, better local chains, and better local pies than at Boston Pizza. And that may be especially true for out-of-towners who don't have the local knowledge. In my case, I look at the mass of places along Wye and Baseline Roads and quickly either seek a port in the storm or flee into Edmonton. Awhile ago, I had a 2 week business trip within greater Sherwood Park and met my work colleagues for a beer, pizza, and some televised sports. This Boston Pizza is more suburban and family-oriented than the one that I like better in downtown Edmonton. That sort of energy doesn't really make a sports bar atmosphere, but as friends who were spending weeks away from their families, we had a nice time anyway. read more

There are two Boston Pizza's in Sherwood Park. One on Broadmoor Blvd off of Baseline (just before the Costco) and the other off of Wye Road. This restaurant was the second to open after the Wye Road branch being open for many years. I would like to say it is second to none, but that wouldn't be accurate - I would say it is second to the Wye Road location. This branch has been riddled with service issues ever since it opened a few years ago. I'm not sure why, but I have heard a lot of complaints about inconsistent service. My experience has confirmed that as well. Sometimes the service is just fine and other times you are left hungry and annoyed. In contrast, the one off Wye almost always has great service. That is not to say the service is atrocious, not by a long shot. We keep going back for the pizza - especially the gluten free pizza. It is not on the menu but just specify that you want and which toppings. There have been occasions when it has arrived a bit overdone (black around the edges) so I might consider asking a head of time to make sure it isn't too overdone or crispy. While the hubs is gnawing on his GF pizza, I was enjoying a regular Mediterranean pizza. This is a great pizza choice and one I wish I had ordered earlier. Artichokes, spinach, pesto sauce and sun-dried tomatoes make for a very nummy combination. The crust was perfect for this type of pizza, nice and thin and crispy, without being crumbly or flakey. As per every Biston Pizza...hit and miss. But what does anyone really expect. Family and large group friendly. A menu that I must admit I consistantly feel like "ordering one of everything". BP's is like an old friend. It's there when you need them. I am also a sucker for their delivery service as it's really the only readily available service one can order such a range of Western food. Of course the pizza is good...but one can also order such a plethora of different dishes that aren't the go-to pizza...or chinese. Keep it up BP's. For two Americans, this was our home away from home. Food quality was excellent along with the portion size. Never ate in the restaurant side of the house but the bar was the spot for us. So what makes this place amazing? It is the incredibly staff. Torrie was exceptional, the burgundy goddess - treated us as part of her family and not just a paying customer. Her wit was spot on. An outstanding conversationalist to say the least. Jade was additionally just as nice and welcoming. their backgrounds are so much more diverse than one would think. Leanne and Zac round out the cast of fun wielding staff members. each has worked at BP for years and it is clear they enjoy their job. My brother-in-law and his soon to be wife took us out for dinner here mid-week. We met at 7pm on a Tuesday and had to wait a few minutes to be seated, even though the restaurant wasn't full. Not a big deal. The table we got was strange, though. It was a big round table in the middle of all the booths, and really close to the kitchen, so I could hear all the kitchen noise and see some of the action. Our sever, Curt (I think), was really great. He was friendly, attentive, checked on us enough but not too much, joked around with my father-in-law. He was a fairly young guy, working in a Boston Pizza in the middle of the week, so I have to admit I was really surprised at how good he was. It was actually some of the best service I've had at a restaurant in a long time. All of our food was as ordered and come out in a timely manner. No problems there. It was Tuesday night and all wine was half off! The only gross thing was that there was garbage and dirt all over the floor, under our table and everywhere. Napkins, crumbs, food remnants. There was a huge piece of onion skin in one slice of pizza. The wings were mediocre and very small On what planet is it reasonable to charge $40.00 for a large pizza and $23.00 for 16 wings. The food and service here are fine... not fantastic, not awful. Just fine. But I was really irritated today. I never go to BPs for lunch.. but I just started a new job and that's where my co-workers wanted to go. I ordered an individual sized pizza and a started ceasar salad. Which came to over $17 with a pop. After I ordered... I noticed a sign for their lunch combos. Which said I could have gotten a pizza and the salad for something like $9... that's a HUGE difference. Yes, the pizza would have been slightly smaller than what I orderd, but I would have absolutely been okay with that, had I realized it was an option. What happened to your server telling you the specials of the day? I actually felt a little taken advantage of. We went for Sunday football, the service was absolutely wonderful. The new drinks are really good, my personal favourite is the new west coast sour. During football the tankards are on sale, which is a bonus. The food is quick and hot. The only downside was that we always get calamari, so my husband and I both got an appetizer of calamari to ourselves but they switched the recipe from the one that has tzatiki and banana peppers. To calamari with jalapeños, red onions, and garlic aioli on top and some weird sauce the looks like shrimp sauce on top of sour cream. Went last minute for a lunch. 3 tables 1 server you don't think anything terribly wrong can happen. Meal 1: My spouse orders a lunch meal - Santa Fe Quesadillas with fries and gravy. Quesadillas was good he said but the fries were stale and only warm. Explained to server and she took the fries back but left the gravy. The waitress brought new fries but i had the gravy went cold. So I had to request again new gravy. Meal 2 : I ordered the Boston Brute no onion with a side of meat Waitress brings the Boston brute with no meat sauce. She comes to ask how our first bite after about 10 minutes and I had explained there are onions on my sandwich and I ordered meat sauce for the side. She took away the sand which and got it remade. After waiting about 20 minutes I got my sandwich and meat sauce. The waitress was good but she seemed kind of irritated with the kitchen and was reflecting on her serving abilities to us. Manager gave us free desert but i personally wasn't very hungry after waiting for new food and having to watch my spouse eat his entire meal. read more

Terrible. Waitress got mad because I didn't leave a tip, I didn't leave a tip because she was slow, ignorant, fake, snotty, and overall just the worst service I have EVER received. The food itself was shit. Cold, tasted terrible, took very long to come out. We were only getting dessert, and took over an hour. It's hard to screw up dessert but these found a way. The restaurant itself was hot, small, smelly, utensils were filthy, water was contaminated with specs of dirt. One star read more

I have to give a big Thank You to Rob & Randi the general manger and his assistant. I went 2 weeks ago on a Sunday evening to pick up my order. I was trying to pay for my order, and I did not have my reading glass I was trying to enter a tip not to sure which button to select and accidentally tipped an outrageous amount($3700.00) . Randi caught my error but not before it went through. She did all she could but the matter had to wait until the next business day for Rob. Needless to say I was upset and embarrassed but their professionalism and kindness calmed me down. The matter was resolved and my food was excellent. Because we took so long to try to rectify Randi had my order remade so I could have a fresh pizza. read more

I have always enjoyed going to Boston Pizza as the food was always good. But today I received the simple pizza bread with Bolognese sauce . The sauce came out with a Hugh meat ball in it. When I took it out there wasn't much sauce left so asked for another sauce it didn't taste like bolognese sauce it was bland missing something and my pizza bread was doughy and not cooked on the bottom. It made me unhappy as when I pay for something I have been ordering for years I have expectations on what it's going to taste like. Quality control maybe needs to be looked at. I don't have high expectations for chain restaurants (I take them for what they are - somewhere to eat a moderately priced meal that provides consistently mediocre fare), but my last experience with this Boston Pizza was utterly disappointing. I tried to place a delivery order online, but their system appeared to be down, so I called in my order and was informed that it would be delivered within an hour. Well, an hour passed. Then another hour passed. Two and a half hours after placing my order (an hour and a half after it was supposed to have been delivered), I received a phone call from someone at the restaurant. He casually informed me that their online ordering system was down and that my order hadn't gone through. When I told him that I hadn't ordered online, he had no explanation as to what happened, nor did he seem to care. His only response? "Do you still want your food? It'll be another hour." I told him no, and hung up. After this upsetting phone call, I'm left with a couple of questions. If my order didn't go through, then how did the restaurant get my phone number? And if they had my phone number (which they clearly did), then why didn't they get in touch with me as soon as they recognized the issue? To me, this displays a complete disregard for customer service and lack of respect for my time and needs. We made our way to this BP's right in the middle of the evening rush and were helped right away! No way to sugar coat this - way off their game today. Waited on hold at least 5 minutes to order a salad and breadsticks - with cutlery - for pick up. Got to the hotel and no cutlery. No dressing for the salad and no breadsticks - instead soggy cheese toast. Called to have this corrected - I've worked at a Boston Pizza - they said they would send a driver out with the dressing immediately. It's been 45 minutes. The drive to the hotel was 4 minutes.
