I visited Boston Interiors in Mashpee to purchase an office chair. This is a mid-range furniture store open to the general public, not an exclusive designer showroom -- which is exactly why I expected a basic level of customer service. Instead, from the start, the interaction felt dismissive. When I asked about office chairs, I was told there were none, even though I was looking at one. When I pointed it out, the sales person simply showed me the price tag (over $3,000) and stopped there. The issue was not the price. I understand the value of quality furniture and was prepared to buy. What stood out was the attitude -- as if I was being pre-judged rather than assisted, and as if the price alone was meant to end the conversation. I left without purchasing, not because of cost, but because of the experience. read more

We purchased a sectional less than a year ago and upgraded to Sunbrella fabric to help with stains. It is the worst piece of garbage ever bought. Only choice after speaking with customer service, pay again for new coverings (so they can stain again), would think twice before buying here as they don't stand behind their product or go to bat for you with manufacturer. read more

Our family has purchased thousands of dollars of furniture from this location over the years and specifically our brand loyalty has been to this store until recently. I'm an expecting mother who picked out a glider nursery chair for our nursery. We live in NH, however a family member said she could pick the chair up from the warehouse to prevent the shipping fee. We still purchased the guardsman insurance incase anything went wrong. So the chair was picked up and upon unwrapping it at home it made a loud crack noise every time you rock backwards (defeating all purpose of rocking a baby to sleep). I immediately called and Salesperson Rachel apologized and said someone could come pick up the chair. She then checked with the manager Dee who stated it is policy that we must bring the chair back to the out of state warehouse ourselves. I said this situation should be made right as it was given to us defective. She said she would talk to her service manager and call me Tuesday. I never received a call so I called her. Her response was the same; it is policy and they will not eat the expense for them to come pick up the chair. So the family who has been loyal to this store for years has to be inconvenienced for them giving us a defective product. Extremely poor customer service. Will never be doing business here again. read more

Customer service at this store as well as the one in Westboro is excellent. One of the rugs I had purchased was not wearing well and they replaced it with another one without difficulty. I really appreciated that they did not insist that we buy the same rug since we were not pleased about how it was wearing. The replacement rug is perfect and is wearing very well, so far. Other than looking good, this furniture is poorly built. The crews that assembled the furniture did a crappy job, too. We purchased a sleeper sofa and a king sized bed. The cushions flattened out in a matter of a couple of months. The bed mechanism kept sagged until it touched the floor. We complained and had the couch replaced in September of 2020. We are now in January, and have the same issues as the last couch. On the king sized bed, the support for the drawers is already sagging. This is horrible furniture that's overpriced. Having purchased thousands of dollars worth of furniture at different Boston Interiors over the years, I will not be returning. I recently purchased what looked like a nice sofa table (about $849 I think) and as it was out of stock at the store they would have one brought there in a week or so. I called and they said yes it is here and come on in and pick up. When I went to pick up I was given a sealed cardboard delivery box and told to take home and assemble something that was made in China. The clerk and store manager were rather condescending. They lost a good customer for the company. read more

When we bought our house on the Cape 13 years ago we were so excited! then we found Boston Interiors and loved that their "offerings" we so inline with our taste. Overall, the pieces (furniture, lamps, bedframes, desk) have worked. Not necessarily well, but worked. Our word of caution would be NOT TO BUY ANY OF THE LAMPS (made in China)!!! (and the table (again, China) we got is pretty poor construction as well....13 years later!! They've sent people to "fix" it, but it still keeps being unsteady.) The lamps look great, and, being we're a couple in our 60's, now early 70's I know we're not "hard" on these items. BUT one "adjustable" floor lamp (purchased mainly for good light for the hand crafts I do), has been a disappointment. Right now it slides down of it's own accord thus rendering it useless. We've paid taken it back, but it still keeps "breaking". Needless to say we've been extremely disappointed in the quality of this product, and generally found the products of a lower grade. We too, have not been happy with the attitude of the store employees, they've made it difficult to get satisfaction with broken/not working properly, products. We no longer shop at the store, and never go there albeit to try to get something fixed. read more

I bought a sectional at this store about 3 years ago. Last year I contacted the store to say that the back cushions were sagging badly and were 2-3 inches below the back of the sofa. It took months and months to receive new cushion backs but almost immediately the new cushions began to sag in the same way, well below the back of the sofa. Boston Interiors said tough luck goodbye. My husband and I went to Boston Interiors to replace our LR and DR furniture. We were overwhelmed with the many selections, fabrics, designs of the furniture. BI Designer Karli came to our aid, offered to visit our home to see what furniture we had, measure the rooms, etc. She assisted us in making great selections, coordinating colors, finishes and fabrics. She took our suggestions into consideration and we now have two beautifully furnished rooms. We couldn't have done it without her professional help. She is definitely the "go-to" person. read more

After purchasing several thousand dollars of furniture at Boston Interiors. I can not be more unhappy with the results. Initially sales people were very helpful, but when we ran into problems with the furniture we were push around between Mashpee and Stoughton stores. Leather sofa had staple pushing thru arm of sofa, they would not consider fixing it until it ripped thru the sofa--- stitching all unwound on zipper sofa cushion. We were told to bring the sofa to the Stoughton store for repair, they would no send repair to our home in Mashpee, or pick up with delivery truck. NO Traveling furniture repair services. Swivel rocker literally had bolts falling off within days of purchase. Unwilling to resolve, my husband had to repair. Coffee table bolt fell out, not able to replace due to stripped threads. I would not recommend, nor will I shop at Boston Interiors again. read more

I was told that all the sales help in the Mashpee store were designers. Interior design is the art and science of understanding people's behavior to create functional spaces within a building. Decoration is the furnishing or adorning of a space with fashionable or beautiful things. In short, interior designers may decorate, but decorators do not design. Not one person in this store is ASID certified. They are falsely representing themselves. Just because you sell a coffee table does not make you an Interior designer. In addition, the sales staff follows you around and is overly anxious to sell and make commission. The woman where giggly unprofessional and way to eager. Its best to seek out a real designer. Remember...you get what you pay for. read more

Very disappointed in Boston Interiors ... don't bother letting them know when you will be available during a delivery day as they will definitely set it up for a time when you have stated you would NOT be available!!! When they schedule the routes, it seems pretty obvious that a customer request could be met with enough notice (i.e. morning vs. afternoon) ... of course, I requested morning but they set it up for the afternoon (and I let them know that this would be a MAJOR inconvenience --- all they had to do was set up the route the opposite of what they eventually did and my request would have been met) ... too much trouble to ask for good customer service nowadays --- my last time shopping at Boston Interiors!!! read more

I visited several furniture stores looking for living room furniture. When I stopped at Boston Interiors store in Mashpee I wasn't overwhelmed with talkative sales people when I walked in. I explained I was just looking and was encouraged to ask for help if needed. When I did have questions, I approached Nicole and arranged for an in-home visit as I felt I needed help due to the small, awkward size of the room. Over the period of two weeks I met with Nicole several times and she guided me through the process of putting together a set that was my style and in my budget. She made suggestions and advised me of my options along the way. Some of her suggestions I agreed with, others I choose something else. In the end I am looking forward to receiving my living room of my dreams. I would highly recommend the Mashpee Boston Interiors, as well as reommend Nicole without reservtion. She was easy to work with, knowledgeable and accomodating. read more
