The last time I was here in October 2024, I told myself I would not go back due to hike in prices. I find myself here in May 2025 and this place that claims that it is a thrift store wants eight dollars for a used large mason jar with no lid. They want six dollars for a used 6 inch pot. if I wanted to go antiquing, I would have gone to D's home again on 28th in East Falmouth. I even parked across the street at Papa Jake's and risked My life to cross the road for this crap. Mediocre inventory even. Never again. Very sad. I used to find a lot of joy here.

I visited Boston Interiors in Mashpee to purchase an office chair…read more This is a mid-range furniture store open to the general public, not an exclusive designer showroom -- which is exactly why I expected a basic level of customer service. Instead, from the start, the interaction felt dismissive. When I asked about office chairs, I was told there were none, even though I was looking at one. When I pointed it out, the sales person simply showed me the price tag (over $3,000) and stopped there. The issue was not the price. I understand the value of quality furniture and was prepared to buy. What stood out was the attitude -- as if I was being pre-judged rather than assisted, and as if the price alone was meant to end the conversation. I left without purchasing, not because of cost, but because of the experience.
