I am so very saddened to read this negative review about Dr. Anjali Chanana because this doctor…read morehelped me and saved my life when I wasn't even her regular patient. It happened that I met her late in the evening when she was sitting in a Starbucks typing and looking very tired. Since I was an old ladyeven then, I smiled at her and said,"Wow you look like you're very overworked." She smiled back at me and told me that she was a doctor, and that she never stopped working until she had answered all of the patients who had emailed her that day. We became friends. I was invited to her home for diner. She has a lovely family, too bright nice well-behaved sons. I actually ended up babysitting for them a few times. Dr. Chanana is a wonderful person, kind and loving and caring, reliable, responsible, and really, really smart. We talked about what she could do to be a good doctor without being so worn out and I suggested she find a way to be a half or three-quarter time doctor. I think she has a full day schedule all these years later. She decided to go to Kaiser because it would allow her time to see all of her patients and then make sure that all her paperwork was done before she went home to her family. The last few days she was at her previous practice, she told me to come into her office during her lunch hour since she knew that I was having some health problems. She not only worked through her lunch hour for me she worked through the following time that I had my scheduled appointment. That was a long time to really try to understand me. She prescribed medication which ended up saving my life because I had a high blood pressure problem that had been untreated by my regular primary care doctor. It was also wonderful to feel like I was being emotionally, supported and respected. I was sorry for myself to see her go to Kaiser, but happy for the patients who would have the benefit of being cared for by her. I know that Anjali is a wonderful Doctor who truly cares for other human beings, and does her best to help all patients who come into her office. I myself don't have Kaiser but if I did, she would be the person I would want on my team because I would Trust her. And trust is the biggest deal when we have serious medical problems. I am specifically writing this review because while looking for a Kaiser doctor for a friend, I saw ugly reviews about Dr. Chanana that I don't believe. They are just too out of character for her. We all know that sometimes people write bad reviews, which may or may not be true because they didn't get what they wanted like a refill of a prescription or unnecessary services, or we just may be having a bad day. It is very unfortunate For patients who really need a doctor like Anjali to not benefit from her care because of the very questionable reviews people put on social media. I acknowledge that some negative reviews are true. It's just that from my personal experience the ones I am reading about this doctor cannot possibly be true. Interestingly, those reviews are very old and people like me who are old and frail mostly don't have time to write extensive reviews that are wonderful. But I do because it makes me feel good to say thank you to doctors and others who have helped me. So if you need a doctor check her out for yourself and make your own decision. Sincerely, Leslie Billings, Sacramento, California, Alive for the last 10 years because of Dr. Anjali Chanana

A joke. A representative gave me a very concending phone…read morecall from here and said I was 5 minutes late to an old appointment, and claimes that I called in absent too late for another appointment a year ago. I was there on time for the 9 of the 11 appointments that I made. They counted me as totally absent for 2 full appointments. They said another absence and I get kicked off the platform....wow I made an appointment for a followup after an emergency room visit when a doctor and nurse confirmed an upper rib Crack and another rib below my heart that had been contused from coughing from "alleged" covid... Mind you I carefully planned out this day off from work 2 WEEKS ahead of time because I knew the visit was going to take plenty of time to pinpoint the causation of my problem. Also I knew they were backed up from covid. I proceeded to get a call THE MORNING OF my appointment at 8am to tell me that my Dr. Appointment would be over the phone, they called me at 8AM!! (before work hours) to tell me that my appointment would be held over t7he internet. I then over the phone when they called me...asked the team if they needed an xray; and they said the doctor would have to make the call. My appointment was 5 and a half hours later after they had contacted me the DAY OF after I had cleared my work schedule. Had I known they would do this, I could have had a Dr. Interview during my lunch break. I'm waiting to hear anything on my phone...at 2pm for a text or a call or anything from my doctor to contact me on tenterhooks, and the assistant calls me 1 hour late and is like "She's going to be an hour or maybe more late getting to you What?? After all that berating me for being 5 minites late to 1 appointment?? Fine. The doctor eventually goes ahead and tells me yeah, you spend 2 times in the emergency room and the xrays looked MUCH worse the second time, possibly due to a "Virus" She DOES NOT PRESCRIBE ME PAIN MEDS FOR IT. I had a blood test In the emergency room proving my abstinence from weed and drugs... my primary care doctor sends me to the to the urgency unit near the mall to get tested for covid. The primary care unit failed to send me the recommendation of my primary care Dr. through to urgency. The urancy unit has to look it up later because the primary care team never sent the recommendation like they said they would... The urgency care gave me a covid test...FALSE. I have no history of drug use and no actual use of drugs. They took an xray of me finally for a healing rib fracture...but they can't see the rib contusion, but know its there....they gave me fucking TYLONOL! After that, sent me home with a muscle relaxer and Motrin. The muscle relaxer was denied by my insurance. I am In pain 3 weeks later and had to take leave from Amazon because of chest pain.

Zero correspondence with insurance to the point that insurance folks had to visit this place to make sure they received all of their documents for billing purposes. Northbay could care less. We are going to reconsider staying with Northbay because they are being straight robbing people with ONLINE charges where at other places is FREE! Under the Covid policy they implemented any email to doctors are billed. Not a visit. Not talking with your doctor. But an email to ask for lab results. Seriously just check your accounts. They will nickel and dime you for a message, a call, text, or email. Unfortunately, the insurance has no way to pay for these ridiculous fees because it isn't a doctors visit At least even my cellular company, when you send a basic text message (even phone at least states replying to a text charges may apply would be a nice indicator but there was NOTHING). And northbay please check how your billing system makes sense now that covid restrictions are over. I love my doctor *why its not 1 star but totally dislike these policies that are squeezing every penny rather than figuring out unfair practice to patients when this was NEVER charged before covid. Oh and they seem to get this a lot because the operator had a very condescending voice that she would put in the request to review the charge which takes 30-45 days. When it only took them less then a day to send us the bill??? Go figure?? Well that's a meal so yes I mind. Horrible billing practice and abusing covid pandemic. I support nurses and doctors time. If it an actual voice call from the doctor or a zoom call sure that counts as a visit charge me. But an email??, where it isn't even the doctor responding? Come on? Kaiser doesn't do this. Neither does Sutter.
