Bosak Kia is now Graff Kia (not yet listed on Yelp) but whatever thd current name, the customer…read moreservice we've received from Austin, its service manager, has truly been been extraordinary! We live in north suburban Chicago and not northwest Indiana, and ran into a major engine issue with our 2020 Kia Sportage enroute to Cleveland for our daughter's law school graduation. We initially has the car towed from an I-90 oasis to an AAA repair facility but when it became clear this was an engine problem had it towed again to Graff (then Bosuk) Kia since the car was still under Kia's powertrain warranty. We had to take a rental car to the graduation and (from there) a planned trip to upstate NY, all while our Sportage was being repaired. Austin greatly helped us with documentation issues, which kept the bill more affordable, and he ensured the car was repaired and ready for pickup when we made the return trip through Indiana. Last month, we had an additional issue with the Sportage and we brought it into McGrath Kia, near home. The resolution included replacement of several parts that had just been installed by Graff (then Bosak) Kia months earlier. Since both facilities are certified Kia dealers and the May 2025 repairs were under warranty, we expected our costs to be largely covered. However, McGrath Kia would not honor another certified Kia dealer's warranty, and Kia's national customer service center backed them up, stating that the warranty was only valid with the dealer that provided the service (about 2 hours drive from us). Pretty upset about paying a second very expensive car repair bill within 6 months, I called Graff Kia and spoke with Austin, who told me that he/Graff often honor warranties on work performed at other certified dealers. It required him to fill out extra paperwork -- he suspected that to be McGrath's issue -- but he was very willing to do it. While we had to initially pay the McGrath bill out of pocket, Austin let us know that we will be reimbursed us in full. This is what excellent and honorable customer service looks like!

Beyond frustrating and the response I received highlights a bit of incompetence on a few different areas (customer service and parts ordering / management). I asked the service lead, "Who at the business can I talk to in order to share my concerns with and most importantly stop the endless loop of part issues? As a quick reminder all the parts were supposed to arrive May 7th and today is June 3. There is an obvious breakdown / gap in the way things are being done today." The response I received was, "No one here. All we can do is submit the order and wait for it to come in. Once it gets here and the Tech starts installing, we won't know if anything is incorrect until installation starts and a part doesn't fit, which is what happened in your case. We have no control over how fast or slow parts show up. and most importantly, if we order something and they don't show up, there is literally nothing we can do about that except order it again and wait."

If I could leave zero stars I would. Castle Subaru did not disclose the fact that my 2015 Subaru…read moreOutback had a faulty engine, and that Subaru USA lost a class action lawsuit for vehicles of various makes and models from 2011-2015 due to faulty piston rings that were causing vehicles to burn oil excessively. I consulted Castle Subaru in June of 2023, shortly after purchasing a used 2015 Subaru Outback after the check engine/oil light went on. I was told that I needed to replace an oil pressure switch which cost $500. I did not move forward with the work. Then, in April of 2024 I returned to Castle Subaru when the check engine light went on again and my mechanic could not resolve the issue, and I was told that I needed a new spark plug. I paid $399.98. Then in August of 2024, the engine completely failed, and needed to be replaced, which I did with my mechanic. This cost me $4,181.02. When this occurred, I consulted with Castle Subaru regarding the failed engine, and they tried to sell me a new car, after I expressed that I had no desire to do so. This is a terrible dealership that takes advantage of customers, withholds important information about faulty engines, and instead of helping customers, just tries to sell exorbitantly priced new vehicles. I warn all consumers to beware of this dealership and their dishonest business dealings.

August 7, 2026- the service department at this dealership is still garbage. The new name is Graff…read moreFord. The letterhead is new. The quality of workmanship is still the same hot garbage. My daughter took her vehicle there for a safety recall. It's a subcompact SUV with a turbocharged one liter motor. It had a wet belt driven oil pump that is internal on the engine. Why any manufacturer would choose this extremely poor design over the older, safer design of driving it off the bottom of the distributor I don't know. The only reason to visit a ford dealership service center in northwest Indiana is for a safety recall. For everything else, take it to your locally owned garage where a small business proprietor who actually wants repeat business will perform actual quality work. After having the car in the bay for about 5 minutes they came back and told her everything was good. Her car wasn't part of the recall. Fast forward a few months later. She is on the interstate 450 miles from home driving at night. A "low oil pressure" alarm flashes up on the center console display. By the time she pulled over on the immediate exit and turned the engine off somewhere safe the engine was cooked and the turbocharger was totally locked up. All this happened in less than two minutes. The next morning a friend of mine and I took a car dolly to pick up the car. My copilot did some Internet sleuthing while I drove. Based on the symptoms he determined that the safety recall concerns in the letter she received went unaddressed when she took the car to Bosak Ford/Graff Ford. We hauled the car to Tim Short Ford in Campbell County Tennessee. They quickly (and competently) confirmed that the faulty oil pump design was to blame and the engine was destroyed. Tim Short Ford replaced the engine as soon as one was shipped from Ford. The manufacturer covered the costs entirely. So thumbs up to Tim Short Ford in Tennessee. And Bosak Ford/Graff Ford has proven once again they can't be trusted to do their job. You can change the letterhead on the stationary. You can change the signage on the front of the building. But if you keep the same flunky workers with the same garbage standards then you haven't changed anything. A turd covered in gold leaf is still a piece of shit and so is Graff Ford.

The drive…read morewas a little over 1.5 hours there, and I spent around 30-40 min extensively examining bushings and frame rust etc. All OEM suspension parts, no leaks. It looked great, and drove well. 4hi, 4lo both engaged immediately. No weird noises. Very promising. My dad was looking to trade in his SUV. When they talked numbers Mike was unwilling to negotiate on both the Tacoma price and the trade in price, he misquoted the Tacoma price as being $1000+ more than it was posted to be online, and he tacked on around 3000 dollars of extra fees. This might be common practice in sales, I'm not sure. I know about fixing cars, not buying them. At one point Mike mentioned that the dealership's mechanic might be interested in the truck. My dad was unwilling to sell at the stated trade in value, and we left for under 5 minutes before returning to buy the truck without doing a trade in. In the short time that we were gone Mike sold the truck to the shop mechanic, and my dad was unable to even accept Mike's firm and steep offer; something he was prepared to do given the quality of the truck and the length of the drive out and back. Earlier in the day my dad had called in to make sure that the truck was still available. I have a suspicion that the mechanic caught wind that we were looking at the truck later, and asked Mike not to budge on the truck in order to buy it himself. The idea of Mike allowing my Dad to drive over 3 hours round trip knowing full well that he was going to stonewall him and ultimately sell to the mechanic is disgusting, and is shady business practice. I cannot say that this is what happened, but what I can say is that my dad called ahead to ask about the truck, he was given a low offer for the trade in, a high price for the truck, Mike was unwilling to negotiate, and then within 5 minutes of leaving and returning Mike had sold the truck to the shop mechanic.
