Junior was an excellent source of information when bringing my Volvo here for the first time. I was told to take my car here by the dealer I originally purchased it from because they basically didn't understand Volvos. This dealer charged me nothing and even washed my car after giving me an appropriate estimate of expenses I'll be expected to pay at the 60K mark. No one was pushy and I was shocked they took the time with my car and didn't screw me over with hidden fees. Great experience. read more

Your Napelton Auto works Jaguar dealership based in Schererville Indiana has had our S-type 2000 Jaguar in their shop since April 22, 2012 because the heater wasn't working properly. It is now June 4th, 2012 and we are no closer to any resolution to the problem. April 23rd -- They called and said it was a thermostat $ 400.00 for new one. (We agreed to fix..) April 25th -- We called to see what was up and then was informed that the tech took home the old thermostat to boil it ? April 27th -- We called again and was informed that they were waiting on a thermostat to come in. We informed them that we need communication with them so we'd know the progress of our vehicle. April 30th -- Still waiting on the thermostat. May 1st-- Still no contact from them ! May 2nd -- Informed us that it was not the thermostat May 2nd -- Customer informed "Scott" that my car best not be a Science Project over there at their Establishment. Was informed by "Scott" that the Technician that was performing work on my car was a 17 year Jaguar Mechanic Veteran. May 7th -- They called and said they were contacting Jaguar corporate to help diagnosis the problem. May 10th -- Diagnosis is Head Gaskets.. $3000.00 My husband Mark, asked Lou (mechanic ?) if that included new bolts and rubbers? WHY NEW BOLTS? Because you never use the old head bolts because they have been stretched and you would not get a good positive torqing procedure when reinstalling the heads. WHY NEW VALVE GUIDE RUBBERS? If the ones currently in the heads were disturbed or cracked, you would have oil leak blow by, which would have the car blowing oil constantly from the exhaust. A GOOD MECHANIC WOULD KNOW THIS ! "Lou" said he will have to call us back!. May 11th -- Called and informed us that the bolts and rubbers were a additional $1000.00 May 18th -- Called us to inform us that the heads were still at the machine shop. May 24th -- Called us to inform us that the car should be ready on May 25,2012 that they will call. NEVER CALLED !!! May 30th -- Called to inform us of a discovery crack in the engine block and the repair of that is a additional $1800.00 & that they will pay for the installation, OF A JUNK YARD MOTOR WITH 98,000 MILES ON IT, WHICH COMES WITH A VERY OUTSTANDING & VERY SATISFYING WARRANTY OF 30 DAYS ! ! We told them this is unacceptable .... June 4th -- With all this said, they've have had my car for 42 days. I'm at a current bill of $4000.00, and the car is in the same state and shape as the day it was dropped off in their parking lot on April 23rd. Not ONCE did they offer a service vehicle to us. We've been a one car family while they've been picking and probing at our Jaguar. June 4th -- What are the Customer "Runyon's" looking for? To have a JAGUAR Certified rebuilt motor, whether a short block (using my old heads, in-take, etc.) or complete refurbished JAGUAR engine with documentation (to prove it's not a junk yard motor) and a decent warranty to accompany the work and craftsmanship of the seasoned mechanics that Napelton employs, for an OUT THE DOOR TOTAL PRICE NOT TO EXCEED $3000.00 Please keep in mind that the car is 12 years old, in absolutely prestige condition, that it did not leak any type of fluids, and the check engine light was never on, and the air conditioning worked wonderful. FYI - You being the JAGUAR CORPORATION, you'd figure you'd want to see older Jags on the road. This one here still turns peoples heads.... FYI - We're to the point if we have to "BLEED" to get this car back repaired properly, that we'll be in to sign over the title and proceed with the legal actions that are in order. I had a issue with the engine, after two weeks they came up with a solution to get engine rebuilt. Next a crack was found in engine block. After two and a half months I am still waiting, with no loaner and a bunch of un returned phone calls. People take your money to another dealership this place is terrible place to do business with. read more

I bought a Volvo at Napleton Auto Werks in September 2013. Driving from over 150 miles away, I was skeptical, as most of us are, at dealing with auto sales people. I was dealing with the sales manager originally, and then I was passed off to Mike Lis. Now my experience with the sales manager got off to a rough start but once Mike was involved, my attitude of the place changed completely. I didn't end up buying the car I went there for, but ended up with a better deal altogether. Mike helped me with all of the features of the car and even drove up to Michigan to drop the car off. I would highly recommend Mike Lis and the quality of of the vehicles they are selling. Keep up the good work. read more

This is a consistently disappointing place for auto work. I have lived in several locations and the service at this place is by far the most frustrating I have ever experienced. The car is never done when promised and they do not call to tell you that. You find out when you call to find out what time you can pick it up. Also, you will always, without exception, pay more than what you were told. The overall department has an attitude of "not our problem" so if you go crazy at such incompetent customer service, this is not your place. I only give it 2 stars, rather than 1, because you can usually find one person who can help with a good attitude but it takes awhile. Find a reputable repair shop if you have a Volvo and go there. This review is based upon about 5 trips to this place, and I finally had enough. By the way, they don't even have a Volvo technician on the weekends, when it is most convenient for customers.
