My sister in law suggested this great website called Goldbelly. I looked at it and thought well this is pricey. She told me to try the pizza from NY even though they come in a pack of 3 or 4--I can't recall as I ate them all but one. Still unsure, I called the place. It is Borrelli's in New York, and I spoke to them. I asked all about this order place and the manager got on the phone. He was so nice and told me that Goldbelly is the way to go and they don't ship thought anyone else. He also explained that it will be just the same as if I walked in if made according to their clear directions that come in the box. It is all flash frozen the minute it cools and then shipped. Well, he was right. This is the best NY pizza I have ever had and I love NY and go there often. Just follow the directions to the letter, it is easy. They are not huge pizzas, they serve 1 or 2. Now, we did not go to NY to get Pizza. We had it delivered flash frozen from this great website called, Goldbelly. Look them up, they have the best food and all delivered to your door, flash frozen and great. I have seen photos of Borrelli's and it is cute and looks so comfortable. I think they might even have a counter. As to the pizza, we ordered 4 to be delivered to LA. You have to order 4 and it is pricy, but spend a little more and free shipping you will get. Our pizzas came when promised, all still packed in ice and all sealed when fresh. You just heat them up, follow the directions exactly. This is the best NY pizza we have ever had and we have been to NY, but we did not know about this place. The crust is perfect, thin with such flavor. The sauce and cheese combination they use is the best. We are in heaven and have ordered more. They can stay in the frig up to 3 days and in the freezer no longer than 3 months. I came here hungry and left nostalgic for prison food. The marinara was mystery--like someone melted down ketchup and whispered "Napoli" over it for authenticity. My pasta arrived glued together in a large tragic brick, absolutely no signs of any spices whatsoever so ever, which is honestly impressive from a technical standpoint. The veal francese had the texture of a damp uncooked sponge, The gelatinous blob pulled like rubber and the breading slid off in one sheet, like it was trying to escape accountability. Service was slow in the way that makes you wonder if the waiter is also the chef, the dishwasher, and possibly the owner's emotional-support animal. WoW! I cant believe I havent written a review for Borrellis yet!!! This place is awesome!!!! The food is outrageously delicious!! The service is always top notch. Its a welcoming restaurant that we have visited many times. We have also has private parties here. The food is so good. Today i ate eggplant parm and i upgraded the sauce on my side of pasta to meat sauce. Their meat sauce is AWESOME!!! The eggplant was cooled perfectly and smothered with gooey cheese. This is a true "East Meadow Staple" - Walking into this place, feels like you took a step back in time. Your back in the late 1980's - early 1990's - that's how you feel. Very home town feel. Service is always on point. You won't get any attitude from the wait staff. I can't explain it, but - Borrelli's Pizza is consistantly delicious and crisy. Best pizza around for me. Crispy and not oily at all. Whenever I am around I go grab a pie. Dinning is also pretty good.

The pizza is delicious! I ordered a personal size with sausage and a cannoli to go. My friend got a cheese pizza and a cannoli to go as well. We both enjoyed our food. Service was slow but it was a late lunch (2pm) on a Tuesday so not sure if that was a regular dining experience. Inside was a classic Italian restaurant feel with tables and booth seating. Where can I begin pasta way overcooked who makes linguine with white clam sauce and doesn't bother to put garlic in it these guys do. My first review and couldn't not post due to nostalgia and my positive experience. I've been eating here since the 80's before Islander games, concerts, any big event on Long Island, this was the spot, especially back then! Recently stopped in while visiting my daughter at Hofstra and somehow this place hasn't changed a bit in all the right ways. The food is still exactly the how I remember it. The pizza, I'd put it up against anyone's on Long Island. One thing that has changed since the 80's is the cute waiter my daughter and her friends were practically drooling over. Not sure if he is single, but they are convinced they may have found Long Islands cutest thing LOL. He was attentive, funny and clearly on top of all his tables. Second time trying them. Tomato Sauce was weird tasting on all dishes. Mini meatball app was acidic sauce and soggy frozen meatballs. The shrimp parm had tiny small shrimp butterflied and drowned in sauce n cheese to give it the impression of being larger. Sauce on shrimp was ok the sauce on side pasta tasted chemical and acidic. My wife's veal parm hero was sent out on stale cold untoasted bread that became soggy when drowned in sauce n cheese All together it was sad. I absolutely have to write a review for Borrelli's after they hosted my son's 2nd birthday on 3/29. We got a few tables in the back room for our family. I had hoped to have it sectioned off, but it was okay, and also still very festive with another small birthday party nearby. Everything was delicious! We would have loved the stuffed mushrooms but they were unfortunately out of them- we got the rice balls instead and they were great. My son's favorite food is pizza which is why I picked Borrelli's to begin with because I saw the mini pizzas on the menu. He ate at least 4 slices and kept asking for more so I'd say he thought they were a hit! The main reason I wanted to write this review was to emphasize the service. Our server was calm, attentive, and accommodating. Big thank you to Amanda for being so wonderful. All in all, thank you Borrelli's!! We had a great time and look forward to coming back. read more

I went there for a late lunch. We're a party or two.. Everything was good however, my friend with me she ordered a lasagna which was flat as a pancake. Man, I'm not from Oklahoma. I know what it's supposed to look like. I've been there many times and I'm a local from East meadow it's supposed to be like a piece of cake, a lasagna thick, nice slice. When I brought this to the waitress's attention at the end of the mail the waitress attention she said yes with a smile. I don't know. Was it me? Do I look like a farmer? With a what blade of grass in my mouth and a straw hat & coveralls. Normally I send something like that back. I don't want to start nothing on a first date. All right. It means only one thing. The service at Borrelli's provided by Amanda was so top notch. We came in with a large crowd of approx 30 adults and kids in between baseball games at a tournament next door. Saturday night , 6:45 PM The restaurant was mostly empty Busmen and servers standing around idle We sat down and ordered a few appetizers. Mushrooms and Calamari among others. All items were relatively flavorless with the exception of salt . I learned today that a premium Italian wine Could taste like battery acid , bitter and undrinkable . I've been to Borrelli's a few times. When I wasn't vegan it was awesome they make nice cappuccinos and I stopped in to get two when I was on my way to a former FWB's place. Recently I came with my AA sponsor and had the gluten free pizza with veggies and sauce. It was okay but not as yummy as a pizza with vegan cheese would have been. I'm coming back here on February 13 I believe, I'm going to try to the gluten free pasta with oil and veggies and if it's better I'll update my review accordingly. read more

This was my first time going to Borrelli's, and I would not recommend. We ordered a large meatball and pepperoni margherita pizza and a Caesar salad. This was the smallest large pizza that I've ever seen. I even measured it when i got home and it was 14". Beyond that the meatballs were quarter sized and tasted like dried out frozen meatballs. Caesar salad was fine and the homemade bread was the only thing that was above par. My brother had a sam adams that was skunky and we had 3 cokes. Bill was $73!!!! We just feel ripped off. The place looks like a ghost town. I now know why! Avoid this place at all costs! Let's shutter them and support Italian restaurants that actually care about what they serve. This is garbage. My family is gluten free. And I appreciate the options given to people with allergies, like the gluten free pasta I got with my penne alla vodka. Seems like a good spot to have a party and decent prices but some items seem a bit much cost wise. Service was pretty slow because it very crowded. Absentee bartender I went in today at about 135 pm there is 1 person at the sitting at the bar and no bartender I put my jacket on the seat went to the bathroom came back still no bartender I asked the hostess up front if there is a bartender working and then she responded that she will go and get her where I still had to wait for the bartender finally got there. A kind caring young lady who takes that extra effort to go above and beyond. Give the girl a raise! Met Diane who has been working there for 30 or more years. Here is staying power. Had caring chat. Food was our standard menu orders, Spaghetti and meat balls, veal cutlet parm and the like. Fresh bread and butter, extra sauce, powered cheese - and the like. Place is standardly clean and has great black and white pictures of Italy that have been there for many years. They have a bar on the side as well. The cheese was super stretchy and fresh out of the oven. Oh and I can't forget about the free bread! This was pretty good! It was stealth dense and packed as If it was a bagel. Had dinner here the other night. Unprofessional staff had to ask 3 people for bread which we could have passed on frozen and nuked. My husband ordered the lasagna Big mistake.
