We hired Borracho Tacos for our after-wedding late night snack at a hotel in Orange County. They had the most reasonable rates from the vendors I reached out to and also had a cash discount. The tacos from what I recall were pretty good, the bacon wrapped hot dogs were just okay (smelled amazing), and the Agua Fresca was fantastic. My issue with the service was that they were extremely slow. They were supposed to start serving tacos by 10:30pm. The first plate was not served until 11pm. My guests were standing in the rain waiting for 45 minutes for tacos....I felt so bad!! They also didn't come with lights for under their tent so the cook had to use his phone to see what they were doing. I recall I had a conversation with Tonya specifically to bring lights bc I wasn't sure what the parking lot would be like. The other downside was that Tonya wasn't super responsive. I was a little concerned this vendor would be a no show but I'm glad they did show up. It turns out she was receiving messages but just not acknowledging them, so to me it was a little worrying. The last negative was we did have to provide our own plates and disposables. Overall, I'm happy that we had tacos and that they were satisfying for drunken wedding guests, but I'm unhappy with the service speed, preparedness, and communication up front. I don't recommend going with the bacon wrapped hotdogs - it sounds fantastic but they were just okay and they were also a bottleneck to the process. I do recognize that it was pouring rain, so that must have played some factor. read more

This is the 2nd time I've worked with Borracho Tacos. The first time was in 2017. A repeat customer is a best sign of a good business. The food was excellent. They had the full spread and my guests raved about the food. My reason for picking Borracho tacos over others is they have the option of adding-on hand made tortillas which really put the special touch on catering. I've had 2 event staff at 2 different events both were kind and helpful and made sure everyone had a good experience. I would highly recommend Borracho tacos to anyone looking for a taco cart for their next event. Excited that they've survived the pandemic and I hope they continue to thrive. read more

We had the Best Experience with Borrachos Tacos for our Special Event. We all were very happy with the Delicious Tacos, Rice, Beans, Salsas, and Aguas. I'm so happy to have found Borrachos Tacos. Nice catering service Prep time to ready to serve was a little late. Truth no real complaint I'd rather have my food well cooked or warm not cold Nice small set up for 60 or so people. The catering associate was very well organized; grill set up, tortilla press rolled ready tortillas to be cooked on the grill then plated and meat was great 3 different kinds. Birria, chicken and beef. Table and chairs with tent cover. Catering associate was very nice and attentive read more

So how I know these are awesome tacos was because I could not stop thinking about them. We had a taco bar yesterday for an employee that was retiring. Borrachos came out with Asada, chicken, fish and pastor. Fresh salsa made on site and infused water. Amazing flavor they were on time and had a great presentation and service. These award winning tacos are a must for your next event. So today I woke up and went to the gym still thinking about these tacos then I decided to write this review. read more

What can I say about Tonya and her staff? They are amazing and professional in every way! They truly in my opinion put the word PRO in professional. We have used Borracho Tacos for the majority of our events! It took me a while to write this review because I wanted to see how consistent they are with their service and the quality of their food. With COVID-19 Borracho Tacos have taken every safe measure to protect their workers, food and the client. Today's event with my team was no different the freshness and the quality of their food unparralled. I would just go there for their level of customer service. Please support your local business and show the some love to Borracho Tacos. You can view them on ABC7 Morning News Cinco De Mayo Segement and on Taco Wars2 on YouTube, you will want them to cater your events read more

Excellent service and quality! Delicious food and friendly people. This was a great way to celebrate my birthday - it did not disappoint and there was so much food for the cost! read more

I had them for a birthday party 60 people for 670 + deposit 50 came at 5pm, served from 6-8pm. Everyone said the tacos were okay. Al pastor was good. Had to pay extra for the carnitas $25, but sadly most my family said they were a bit too dry. Asada was okay, it lacked a lot of flavor. Personally, I understood what my family said because I love juicy carnitas and also some flavorful carne asada. My family also said the horchata and watermelon weren't fresh, we thought they were gonna be freshly made but it's the powdered kind. Lastly ran out of Cilantro and onion for the tacos, The beans they used were unfortunately Red beans/ Kidney beans. Good things were rice, salsa Also tip they don't provide utilities, plates, napkins, or cups. I am aware other taquerios don't do but they didn't give us a heads up when we put the deposit down. There Prices are reasonable, it was just disappointing they lacked on providing the good flavorful tacos, our choice beans, & actual fresh agua fresca. read more

I've had Borracho a few times before at a friends party and was always impressed. Great food and drinks, and friendly service. When booking for myself I was pleased to find that their customer service was just as good. Well organized site with easy to understand menu and prices, prompt communication by Tonya, and some of the best prices I could find. Happy to say that their food was just as delicious as I remembered and I will definitely be booking them again for all of my taco needs in the future. read more

Jonathan makes the best tacos. He provided a delicious meal for our picnic. The chicken was seasoned perfectly.

I can only Yelp how good the Tacos are! I had the chance to enjoy at a company event. Chicken Asada Al pastor Vegan friendly They had a Taco de papa with (green) poblanas So bomb! Their set up was nice, everything looked freshly chopped. They provide rice and beans. Aquas were good too. I have to add, they had 3 salsa all were delicious but the red "diablo' was fire. So good but be warned!! Yelp review challenge 48/100 read more

They were so good for our baby shower, we used them again for our son's first birthday! Again, they were amazing! Highly recommend!

I had a GREAT Experience with Borracho Tacos. I hired them for a last minute birthday over the weekend and they did not disappoint ! They arrived before their setup time , they cooked their meat on site AND made homemade tortillas (per request). We had asada, chicken and chicharron and all of my guests were satisfied. They also made quesadillas and brought homemade chips which were great! The package I got also included rice, beans and agua fresca which were all SOOO GOOOD. To top it off, all of the salsas they had were BOMB! I definitely will hire them for any future events. Tonya was very responsive , sent my invoice the day I spoke to her and also was in communication a day prior to confirm our event time. Highly Recommend read more

We've hired Borracho tacos on multiple occasions and everyone always agrees that the food is delicious! We've had them for both cooking onsite and drop off catering and both options are awesome! Tonya works with you on your order, and is responsive over email and on the phone! And when we've ordered drop off, they're always prompt (if not a little early)! The customer service is great and the food is consistently yummy. We don't even look at any other taco caterers when we plan our parties! read more

The bad reviews are REAL. I learned my lesson for giving them the benefit of the doubt. I originally booked for 75 people, a month before the event I decided to make it 100 people. We came to an agreement and my updated invoice wasn't sent until I requested it which wasn't a big deal but I mean.. why not have a set contract. Whatever, Anyway, today was the day of my event. We agreed on 2pm arrival to serve at 3pm they arrived at almost 2:30. Let me start by saying that when I tell you I paid for 100 guests, Im expecting a lot of food. Long story short, I paid a thousand dollars for a SMALL tray of rice and beans and the "agua fresca" was so SMALL I wish I would have taken a picture of how tiny it looked compared to the regular agua fresca container my mom took as a back up. The salsas were provided in a small bowl that ran out within the first 10 minutes. (Mind you, not even half the guests had arrived yet when they begun serving.) the meats they provided for 100 people was a scam. They served late and left early. 3/4 of the guests got to eat because the meat had "ran out" Another thing, the guy who was cooking was burning the meat and scraping the residue and SERVING it with the tacos. I'll attach a picture because it's a see to believe thing. I found a separate Yelp account with nothing but bad reviews but I still decided to give them a chance. Of course, I would gladly give credit where it is deserved but definitely not here. ZERO out of 10 recommend. This was an expensive mistake but lesson learned. Book at your own risk. read more

I booked Borracho tacos for an event this weekend, the customer service was great, they responded to my inquiry within an hour. The cook we got was Juan and he was courteous, and professional. He did run half an hour late but he stayed an additional half an hour to make up for the time, so that was great! The set up was great and the tacos were also very delicious! I rate them a solid 10/10. I would definitely book them again! read more

I am having a 100 day celebration for my baby girl and decided to get taco catering. Borracho gives a fair price for everything we are looking for. Many other quotes we got had less items and costed more. Tonya is very responsive! I asked for a quote and the same day I got my response and we booked a call to discuss the details. On the day of the event, they were early to set up and served on time. They served quickly and the food is bomb! The agua fresca was a hit, especially the cucumber lime. Horchata was great too! Overall all the guests loved the food! read more

I got tacos de pollo rate it a 6 out of 10,,tacos de al pastor 4 out of 10 to much gooey stuff and tacos de Asada probably a 8 the set up was ok but beware if you pay cash they won't charge u taxes and if u pay with card slap in your face taxes run up to 60 dollars I don't think I will recommend or hire again !!! read more

Believe the rest of the 1 star reviews. Tried to book this place for a work lunch 2 days before and they never gave me an invoice which I specifically requested. With only one day before the lunch, I had to call them the next day to ask, but no answer, only a text reply afterwards that said "I sent last night". First off, I didn't receive it. Second, you don't know what I called for, how did you assume I'm asking for the invoice? Because you know you didn't send it? Very unprofessional. I never got the invoice. Had to cancel my order. Could not take a chance on them being late or a no-show. I don't know how this place makes money. I HONESTLY think it's a possible drug front. Local authorities should take a look at this place. To sum up, just skip this one and save yourself time. read more
