That should probably tell you everything you need to know. I've had A LOT of fish & chips, and I can confidently say Squatshami now holds the #1 spot for me. The halibut was some of the freshest I've ever had. The flavor was incredible, the fish was perfectly cooked, and the tartar sauce that came with it somehow took the whole thing up another level. And yes... I have zero pictures of the fish & chips. That's because it was so good there was absolutely no time for food photography. Priorities, people. And we can't forget about dessert! Their ice cream concoctions are completely customizable, and we went ALL IN with: Brownie Reese's Peanut Butter Caramel Fudge It was basically an edible vacation in a cup. After asking for a sample of the clam chowder which he should have offered after I asked how thin of a consistency it was. Didn't ask if my order was to-go, so he was miffed when I asked him to put it on a container. The Tidal Boar'd oysters were so salty, they were almost inedible. I only ate them , because they were $4 each. They were beautiful, but akin to a salt lick. I don't know if that was the trout roe, or what. Needed way less salt, more acidity, and the heat wasn't there at all. Visual stunning, but horrendously salty. The 3 pc rockfish was pretty good. Clean, , fresh, and flakey. Seasoned well. Good fries, too. The clam chowder was different. Potatoes cooked through, full of flavor. All that for $42+tip. Might be back, if the server from yesterday isn't there. The guy even saved up all the days champagne corks for me (I'd mentioned I needed them for a project) and brought them to me before closing up shop. I loved the handiness of the truck, with it's bar that opens folds down from one side and the beer taps on the wall coming from kegs inside. They also had a decent selection of wine and bubbles. The concept of renting a booze truck for events is genius & no doubt I will see more of them around town in the future. At least, I hope I do.
