I drove from Iowa to El Paso in my 2013 BMW X5 35d. I had issues with my X5 two hours away from EP. I ended up going to the BMW dealership which at first the service guy quoted me on the wrong part and then when I had to take it back again the next day because it was still reducing power, I finally got someone who knew what they were talking about. Anyways, I was quoted from the BMW dealership to fix my X5 with the stock replacement parts for $6,300!! I ended up looking around for a more honest and better place to work on my X5 and I found Borderland BMW owned by Sean . I took my BMW there and he knew exactly what was wrong with it and then did some research on his own time outside of work to help me find options on getting it fixed without the hefty cost. He did just that with giving me two options to fix my X5 that saved me thousands off from the dealership. We ended up doing a performance upgrade which gave my X5 more power and even better gas mileage and the best thing about it is I won't ever have the same problem again. I originally made an appointment to have my rear breaks & wipers replaced here because I was so disappointed in BMW of El Paso's Customer service. And I'm sure glad I didn't take it to them because on the way to the appointment I got a warning light for drive train, so I had Borderland look at it. They checked it all out and found a few items wrong, mostly due to the failures of BMW of El Paso to properly make the repairs and some of the repairs were done incorrectly when I had a warranty repair done a few months ago. Borderland kept me up to speed as to what parts were bad, cost & time frame to repair. Bottom line is I received excellent customer service and a quality mechanic to work on my BMW. Borderland BMW worked on my 2014 Dodge Durango Citadel ! Today was my first time here. I called at 8 am to check for availability and if he works on any model make vehicles. The owner Sean said "Yes" so I scheduled a diagnostic test. I have finally found a mechanic that I trust to work on my car! If you have a bmw, you should definitely come here! They are so professional and honest. They will tell you everything in the right way. Also they will take care of your car. Before i moved to El Paso, I was worried about if there will be a good shop for my bmw here. And I'm very glad that I found borderland. Got my front struts, rear shocks replaced here. They did a great job and i needed my car before Monday but the parts weren't gonna be there before Monday. And the owner Sean, looked for the parts and found them in town. Got my car back on time.
