This was such a fun bar and possibly my favorite spot on Bourbon! It is Western themed, and it really leans into this (for example, the bar seats are crafted as adorable horse saddles!) There's a ton to do in this bar as well aside from milling around with a drink, from a mechanical bull to corn hole. My friends and I all tried the bull, which was fun and felt safe. It was $10 for two tries per person. Service was really friendly and fun as well.

Creepy guy recording girls on the bull ride, when we asked him to stop he got heated and we started recording him. got kicked out for recording him lol. Fun bull rides though! $10 for two rides!

This bar was super fun! There's two dance floors plus a courtyard area. Our group of 5 had a blast. They teach line dancing, have bull riding, photo opportunities, game areas and good drinks. Bathrooms were small but clean. Staff was great. I think we might come back to this one if in the area again.

    3.5 seconds bull ride!

Cliff Notes Price Range: $ Parking: Looked painful, but unknown since we walked Perk: The bull and pictures waiting to be taken Non-Perk: They allow smoking in the doorway upstairs, so it might as well be a smoking bar Ambiance: Country Noise: A tad loud, but music selections were on point Temperature: A little hot and muggy Recommend: Yes Dissertation We strolled into the joint with excitement bubblin' like a freshly opened beer can. The place has a country charm, complete with saddle chairs, beautiful country music loudly blaring in all parts of the building as well as the barrels and wagon wheels throughout. They had a mechanical bull upstairs so we decided to give it a whirl - I only lasted about 3.5 seconds, just enough to grab a picture and fall off! The drinks were as strong as the bull's kick so I left with glee in my step and a big grin on my face. The only two nuances were: A) The music was way too loud for such a small space, especially upstairs and B) They allow smoking in the doorway upstairs, so those that smoked might as well be sittin' on your lap. Other than that, we had a lot of fun... so if you want a Boot' Scootin' good time, head on over!

BULL Riding, Cornhole, Giant connect 4, this is my kind of bar, where you get to do so many things, of course all alongside getting boozed. There's 2nd floor balcony to watch the crowd and throw some beads at them. If lucky you get flashed sometimes, IYKYK :P We went to the club on a quite Monday night. It was mostly empty. So we all piled on the bull ride thats on 2nd floor. You get 3 rounds, each last about 30s~60s based on your skills. It costs around $5 per ride. Really fun thing to experience, but high chances injuries, so take it easy, cause you sign the waiver before you get on the bull. On the chill side, there's cornhole, connect 4 and few other games next to the bar in first floor. The first floor bar is massive. There's a smaller bar on second floor as well. Servers are nice and friendly.

Oh my goodness! How I needed some Morgan Whalen and saddles to belly up to a bar. It was early and mostly empty but oh so much fun! The country favorites flowed from the juke box (?) but wait the cold very cold beer was necessary. Our bartender was precious and very accommodating. We drank cooled off danced by our saddle bar stools and had 1 more for the road! So much fun. Unfortunately we never made it back to partake in some boot scootin line dancing. Until next time..

Great country bar!! I think we had the most fun at this bar. I also liked how they kept doing line dance lessons throughout the night which is very unique compared to other country bars I have been to!

Nice place, went in and looks like it can be a hopping place when it is full. Very clean and has a mechanical bull upstairs.

Had a great time dancing! The dance floor is small, but worked for us. The deejay played some fun line dance music & they taught a line dance, as well. The drinks were rather pricey. I guess that's to be expected in the French Quartet. Overall, it was a fun experience!

On a previous trip we had seen an evening show at Snug Harbor and wanted to experience something else. We had read good things about the Spotted Cat and their sets run all afternoon. We were a little confused about price because one of our guidebooks said there is no cover but you're supposed to order drinks. There was a doorman who charged us something like $5 each (still cheap!) and we ordered beer and a N/A drink at the bar and listened to a great jazz group playing old-time jazz. Interior is tiny and you're pretty close to the performers. We were standing at first but eventually found some seats as people left. There is even a back courtyard if you want to be outside, although I don't know if you can hear the music or not. We bought a CD from the band and enjoyed it when we got back home. All in all, a great New Orleans experience.

While the Sazerac wasn't invented here, this is arguably its most iconic home, a place where New Orleans cocktail history comes to life. I would use this version as your gold standard when dining out in New Orleans and looking for a perfect Sazerac. We enjoyed watching bartender Rachel craft each drink. Rye whiskey, Peychaud's Bitters, and sugar are stirred in a small pitcher with ice. The serving glass is chilled, then emptied, and finished with an absinthe rinse along the rim. The cocktail is strained into the glass and topped with a lemon peel. The atmosphere makes the experience even better. The murals, the history, and the energy of the room give it a sense of occasion that you do not get at most bars. The presentation of the food came was amazing. We ordered the linguine and added meatballs, which was well worth it. We also ordered the shrimp & grits, which included Brussels sprouts. Boy, it was sure nice to get some vegetables in my stomach after eating all that yummy fried food during our stay! All in all, both dishes were delicious. It is a little on the pricey side, but after several days of eating in the touristy area of the French Quarter, this was truly a welcome change. Service was polite and attentive. The ambiance is amazing, plus velvet, emerald and sapphire tone, glitzy, and feels like a good photo op. The bar and cocktail menu looked expansive. However, I was going to be hopping on a meeting, so I could not partake, unfortunately. A group got this impressive tower of espresso martini and everyone seemed to be enjoying their drinks! I wanted that New Orleans seafood but had late lunch, so I opted for just the crispy gulf shrimp on cheesy grits. I really wished I can hungrier because the dish ended up being very heavy. The shrimp were nice and crispy. The charred Brussels sprouts gave me the false sense that this was a healthy dish because I was getting my veggie intake. The bacon jam was sweet and went well with the Brussels sprouts. I loved the combination of the cheesy grits and the Crystal hot sauce. It was the perfect amount of both and some how led me to understand why Americans put hot sauce on their Mac n cheese and some other cheesy dishes after 30 years of not really understanding the attraction to that combo. I got the marinated olives to go so I could have a little snack later. They were just stuff I feel I could get in a jar... not really sure if I could justify the price. I think this is a fine place if you're looking for a photogenic night out drinking with a group of friends. Could be really cute for brunch!
