Pretty store, poor service. Took forever to get help as the employees gossiped in a circle. When I did finally find someone to ask a few questions, I was disappointed in the response. With a serious lack of options in the region when it comes to western wear, Boot Barn fills the niche perfectly. As with the majority of people, hence the niche market, western wear is definitely not my norm, but true to my roots I do enjoy a good pair of good cowboy boots. I'm also a big fan of a pearl snap western shirt in the right setting such as for a rodeo or country concert. Whether it's a cowboy hat, pearl snap western shirt, boots, an oversized belt buckle or a pair of inappropriately tight jeans you're looking for, Boot Barn probably has it. To clarify, when I state inappropriately tight jeans I am referring strictly to my male counterparts as there is nothing in this world I appreciate more than a woman that can fill out a pair of western jeans. Okay the truth is any jeans for that matter, but I do have a special appreciation in my heart for the cowgirl cut jeans. In addition to the extensive selection of western wear, Boot Barn also carries good selection of work wear. The work wear selection here seems comparable to a Bare Bones or Work World. As for the prices it may just be the nature of western wear in general, but the prices here seem very cheap. I found a decent pair of boots in the low $100 range and could hardly believe that nice western shirts were available in the neighborhood of $20. Husband went in to make payment was told he could not because he was not one authorized to do so, So mailed in payment, Received bill in mail of late charge, get this he paid bill was a day late wow. so complained and told the person on phone what had happened , still had tp pay late fee. Awesome selection of boots and country attire but the customer service was a little off at the Rancho location. I had no problem with my cashier but when I had called the day before to see if my boots I put on hold were still there for pick up the lady had an attitude and was a little rude when we were talking, she said she isn't at the front desk so I have to clarify what boots I had reserved like I was bugging her or something...I don't know, cute, really expensive ones I picked out. I don't remember. Lol..They asked me for my name and number for a reason right. I just didn't really appreciate her assistance much. Okay, so it's been a few days since I made my first visit to the Boot Barn. I decided to hit up the Rancho Cordova location vs. the Elk Grove one based upon the reviews and overall ratings here on Yelp. Although the Elk Grove location is much closer for me, there were too many 1 star ratings for me to be able to justify visiting this location. So now onto my experience here in Rancho. I was immediately greeted by staff upon entering the store and she was very friendly. I could tell she was busy as well and the other individual working in the store was busy with another customer. I decided to just walk around the store and check out the selection of boot and man do they have a selection! After approximately 15 minutes, the store manager, Ben assisted me. He is very knowledgeable and had many suggestions for me and asked many questions I would have never even considered while making my decision to select a particular pair of boots (this was my first purchase of square toe boots). Fast forward about an hour and Ben was super patient and never once seemed inconvenienced by my questions and/or concerns and trying on about what seemed like 20+ pairs of boots. Ultimately he helped me decide on some of the most comfortable pair of boots I've ever owned. Super happy with my new pair of kicks. In addition, he guided me on the proper "new style" of pants and how to wear them with my new boots. Tough keeping up with ever evolving styles with wardrobe. Anyhow, I could go on and on, but I recommend you definitely give this location a try. Also, for my military (current/veterans) they do offer 10% with your ID. Don't understand how anyone can give this store 5 stars. Went into this store with my husband. I preceded to look at the womens clothes. One of the sales ladies seem to appear everywhere I went. I asked her if there was something wrong and I was not there to steal. She didn't seem to bother the same way with the other customers. Was a Big turnoff. I refused to buy anything. Also, the store is close to my home but will never go back. My husband and I was in Yuba City. Went to the Boot Barn there and was treated with the upmost respect. Hubby and I went in because he needed new boots. We were able to find what we were looking for at a reasonable price. The store layout is easy and consumer friendly. The atmosphere and music were on point for this type of establishment. So why the only 3 star review? Ironic as it sounds, their customer service was too much. We were completely bombarded by the many different sales girls so many times, we were getting annoyed and ready to voice an opinion, which is very unlike the both of us. We get that they are just doing their job, and honestly, there's been places where we can't seem to find anyone to help. But there is a balance I think and these girls were way on the ''too helpful'' side. It made them seem bored and the store slow. There were plenty of people in there, and we noticed many shoppers becoming irritated with the several times the girls would come up to them. I never experienced this at the Rocklin location, so maybe next time, we'll make the drive out to be bugged less. read more

I just came in to the stores to try on pants and boots and I tried on a pair of miss mes and I didn't like the design on the back and they were a little pricey. The two lady's at the front were like how did they fit? I said yea no and when me and my mother went to walk out of the store they proceeded to tell me to go shop at Torrid (plus size store) because they have really cute clothes for my body type. Little did they know that the pants actually fit I just didn't like them. So maybe next time you should watch what you say to your customers because I definitely won't be back. Very VERY unprofessional and totally body shamed me. I was having a semi good day until I walked into your store and now I feel super self conscious leaving your store.
