The staff is very friendly but I've never been in such a dirty boot barn. It's very obvious they never sweep, vacuum, clean the fitting rooms, or dust. I picked up a pair of men's jeans and no joke dust went EVERYWHERE. For a place that sells jeans that are almost $300 and nice quality items you'd think they'd take better care of the store. I walked into Boot Barn in Queen Creek recently with the intention of purchasing multiple pairs of boots. When we arrived, the store was quiet with only two other customers. Despite this, not a single employee acknowledged us when we walked in--no greeting, no eye contact, nothing. I spent quite a bit of time trying on several pairs of boots, clearly browsing and needing assistance, but not once did anyone approach me to offer help or check on sizing. What made it even more frustrating is that someone else walked in with a couple of dogs, and suddenly every employee rushed over to that person, giving them their full attention while continuing to completely ignore us. Even as I walked out--still ready to spend good money--no one said a word. Not even a goodbye. I left disappointed and honestly surprised at the lack of basic customer service. We spent several hours there Saturday evening with my wife trying on many different styles. Cheryl would walk by multiple times never asking if we needed help. She was 'cranky' each time we saw her and seemed put out when we would try to ask her a question. We wrote it off that she was having a bad evening. My wife settled on a pair which we purchased. We cleaned up the bench area picking up several items of trash and put back every pair of boots my wife tried on. Later that night, my wife found the same boots on the Boot Barn website for 20% discount. She called and confirmed that we could bring them back into the store and get the price adjustment. Cheryl was there. Her and and much younger girl said they couldn't find them on 2 different websites. The younger girl, Alyssa, was giving us quite the attitude. I pulled up the Boot Barn website showing them the exact boots and the discount. Without saying a word, Cheryl ripped my phone out of my hand and said they're different color and it's an online only thing. I showed her on the website the exact boots, same color, and that the discount was online or in-store. She muttered something under her breath and said just give them the difference. She then walked off. We said thank you and she continued walking without saying a word. Customer service is incredibly important to us, especially being a little older. We were surprised to be treated so poorly by someone so close in age to us. We will NEVER go back to that store and will caution our many friends to go elsewhere. Very upset. I ordered something online got it delivered in the box was completely smashed in my hat was damaged and dirty. The lady wouldn't tell me her name that was at the counter. She looks like the manager was trying to explain to her what happened and then she says "well there's nothing we can do". Didn't offer me a refund didn't offer me anything. In the middle of me talking, she also turns around to help someone else and has us move out of the way. I need the hat for wedding super bad customer service. Went to Boot Barn on Saturday for some boots of course for a baby shower coming up. I don't know much about what brands are best and what size would be best as far as breaking them in. I was hoping someone would help me or find me someone who could but I walked in to silence from every employee. Matter of fact all of the girls standing up front looked directly at my sisters and I and went back to their conversations without a word. I went over to the boots and started trying some on that I liked. At a certain point an employee even walked by me and when I smiled at her, she looked at me, continued to just walk off and also not speak. I decided to just leave and find boots elsewhere. My boyfriend and I were in the store well over an hr and few people even checked in on us, and we only encountered one employee who was friendly when approached. The employees we did approach were short, carried a big attitude, and made us feel like we were a burden for inquiring about products. We even moved a little further down from where a group of employees were standing to view more product and they began gossiping about us. This store is a hot mess! The clothes was Al over the place. There were no specific sections for certain items like T-Shirt section... there was name brands that were mixed in with others. A gentleman walked in and asked where he could find a wallet and the store employee looked clueless and said I have several places ... I found the employees to be rude and lacking energy! My husband and I went in on Sunday and had a great experience with Pat and Jill then today my husband went back alone and was blatantly ignored and was not greeted whatsoever but glared at. Stopped an employee to ask if we could use the others. Nope they are full of boxes was the reply. When asked could they not be moved to help customers. Nope 3 days worth of boxes. What?!?!? So you have stored boxes in a dressing room instead of the back storage? In a time of year when people will be out shopping as the weather gets better?
