When we were at the spa, they made us tea, and brought us out champagne afterwards on the terrace while we relaxed. They were so kind and accommodating! I had a hydra-facial with Haulina and oh my gosh, it was honestly the best facial i've ever had. She was also sooooo sweet, personable, and knowledgable. She gave me so many tips and knowledge about my skin and recommended products. She was absolutely amazing and I will only go to her for facials now! My sister had a hydrafacial with tanya and my mom had a swedish massage with Lisa, both LOVED their services. They both raved about Lisa and Tanya. My mom used to manage a luxury spa and she said her massage with Lisa was better than any massage she had ever gotten at her previous luxury spa that charged double the price. The prices are super fair and way less than other spas. For the amazing services we got, the price is absolutely worth it! We can't wait to come back :)

Mayra was wonderful, and the massage was exactly what I needed to unwind. Before and after my treatment, I took advantage of the spa amenities, including the steam room, sauna, and cold plunge pool. I also appreciated the complimentary sparkling wine, which added a nice touch to the overall experience. My service included a day pass to enjoy the pool area, so I spent some extra time lounging outside afterward. I accidentally forgot to take a picture of the code needed to order food, but the receptionist was very helpful when I called. She provided me with the code and also contacted a server for me since no one had been by the pool area in a while. The only reason I'm giving four stars instead of five was the slight delay with poolside service, but the staff handled it well once I reached out. Overall, it was a peaceful day of rest, relaxation, and pampering. I'll definitely return.

After your facial, you can go to the private pool & enjoy a dip. They've got a cocktail menu but mind you the cocktails you get are not made from the bar. They're premade cocktails in a small glass bottle that they didn't make themselves. I found that part to be pretty overpriced. They have various spa options from facials to massages. About $300-$400 for selected services. Having booked the service, we were allowed to utilize the amenities located in the spa. In order to get to the spa (if you're not staying in the hotel), you had to drive into the front entrance of the hotel. This is located on the side opposite of PCH. The only real option to park is through valet service which the spa takes care of as part of the cost of the service. Our massages were booked for 2pm but we arrived around 11:30am to have lunch and enjoy the amenities. The food was pretty good and the servings were plentiful. We got a chicken Cesar wrap and the charcuterie board. You're able to eat and have the food brought over just like you were ordering room service, it was definitely room service cost and they charged for delivery to the garden. After we finished eating, we lounged in the garden to catch some sun. This is the part where I say that it almost fit the bill... the weather loved tents providing shade had mold on the canvas. Maybe it was just weather warn because it does stay outside all year round? Not sure but I'm thinking that it definitely looked like mold to me. After the sun, we enjoyed the indoor amenities of steam room, sauna and jacuzzi. For me, there a few other patrons enjoying the amenities but my boyfriend said that he pretty much had the men's locker room all to himself. My favorite part about the amenities was the shower. The shower had a rainfall shower, a handheld shower and then several steam shower heads on three of the walls. The products in the shower smelled great and I would definitely use them again. For our massages, we have the couples suite. The room was absolutely gorgeous complete with 2 massage tables, 2 sinks, a gorgeous tub, 2 separate showers this beautiful stone piece on the far wall. Massages were great and relaxing. After the massages, our massage therapists led us out to the garden again to pretty much recover from the service and it was definitely needed. Upon checking it out from our service, we perused the gift shop. There were cute clothing pieces there as well as the products that were utilized as part of some of the services. When paying, they let us know that the gratuity was already covered in the cost so that was nice. Given the cost for each service, I thought it was a generous but also fair tip. Because we finished late afternoon, we decided to walk down to the pier and venture around there. We were able to keep the car there and the hotel bellman allowed us to store our gym bags in the hotel as well, all at no extra cost. If I was looking to splurge again, I would probably come back. What would sweeten the deal is if we were able to use the hotel pool too but they said that it is only allowed during the weekdays when the pool isn't too busy.

I've also noticed that they've continued to make upgrades over time, which I really appreciate. The coed section is one of my favorite areas! There are several hot sauna rooms and an ice room, each offering a different experience. I love going between the different rooms, working up a good sweat, cooling off, and just taking the time to unwind and feel grounded. They've also made some nice improvements recently. The ice room now has benches, and the salt room has new benches that can accommodate more people. There's also a kids' game room, a photo booth, and a dining area where you can purchase meals, healthy snacks, and drinks. One of my favorite features is the large lounging area where you can stretch out, relax, or even take a nap. The heated floors make it extra cozy and comfortable! The women's section is another favorite of mine! There are two hot tubs, one hot and one warm, along with a wet sauna, dry sauna, and cold plunge tub. There are plenty of showers, including standing showers and ones with little stools where you can sit. The staff is constantly making their rounds, keeping everything clean, restocking fresh towels, and making sure the space stays comfortable for everyone. I usually treat myself to the body scrub and massage. The massages can be a little hit or miss depending on who you get, but the body scrub never disappoints! It's honestly one of my favorite parts of coming here. Seeing how much dead skin comes off is so satisfying, and afterward, your skin feels as smooth as glass! It's definitely worth experiencing at least once. I usually spend at least a couple of hours here because there's so much to enjoy, and I never feel the need to rush. Whether you're looking for a relaxing self-care day, a good sweat, or a full body scrub, this is a great place to unwind and recharge. She explained all the hotel's amenities. In addition to the room charge, a $40 resort fee got us: 1. On-site parking; 2. Welcome sangrias; 3. Chocolate chip cookies each night; 4. A European styled breakfast each morning from 7am to 10am; 5. Wi-fi; 6. Beach chairs and umbrellas. Parking in Laguna Beach is a premium, so parking at the resort was great. The city of Laguna offers a free shuttle with a bus stop almost in front of the hotel. So we parked our car and took the shuttle all over town. The property is a well maintained, quant renovated 26 room Italian style resort. It's clean, charming, and has lots of character. It felt nice being at a small property and not at a large commercial hotel. We felt like we were back in Italy on vacation again! Just walking past the front of the hotel, you would not know that there is a luxury resort inside. They have a heated swimming pool (83 degrees), a sauna, and a secluded sun bathing lounge area and several other amenities. We opted for the heated wellness treatment which is a jacuzzi hot tub for two with mineral water. But they also offer single and couples messages and other message therapies. They have a quant internal courtyard for dining as well. We enjoyed a great European breakfast each day which was well prepared, fresh, healthy, and served by great hostesses. We especially liked the frittatas, fresh squeezed orange juice, hot coffee, and iced cold lemon water. The property is a historic landmark, so it doesn't offer handicap accessibility. So if you or someone in your group is in a wheel chair or uses a walker then this property won't work for you. Overall we really enjoyed staying here and would definitely go back again.

The service was excellent and can see that staff takes great care and attention to making sure everything is taken care of. We very much appreciated all the amenities this inn had to offer such as the welcome drink, evening cookies (delicious!), sauna, sunblock at the pool, towels, lovely breakfast.. all complimentary (breakfast with resort fee). We also appreciated the 10% military discount. We stayed in room 23 which was a standard queen bed with garden view and liked that spot because it felt central, private, and quiet. The room is on the smaller side but it was fine. It does not have a fridge but they provide an ice bucket. We ended up putting our bottled waters on top of the AC box and that kept it cool. Being that the inn is beautifully historic, there weren't many outlets inside the room. The bath robes were very plush. Both lamp shade knobs didn't seem to turn properly but we made it work somehow. Otherwise, we felt well taken care of throughout our stay and so glad we came. Aside from the inn, there is a walk to get to Victoria Beach. We walked south along Coast Highway to Victoria Place and found the underpass from there. We also took the free trolley outside of the hotel to get around town. It could be quite a wait for the trolley as we waited 30 mins. There is a QR code on the sign to track the trolley locations.

Then literally reconfirmed it going out the door because the gal with the computer looked like she was struggling. But her manager was right there, helping her over her shoulder. What do you know, they got booked for the wrong day. Phoned them back after receiving their voice message and within the next three days, they couldn't find a place to fit us in nor did they care to. Unless we did it at two different times on two different days. Really?! Somewhere between the hotel manager and the spa manager, it's still didn't get figured out and the spa manager, Emma, didn't even care to ask what was going on on our side, just called me up after listening to whatever her employees at the spa told her which was not the true story because I heard it myself when I phoned them back. Then the hotel manager never even called us back to see if it was handled. Keep in mind that this is a Marriott resort now and it kind of reflects it! Sure, they're gonna rebrand to a Saint Regis to help their current image, but that is still a Marriott brand. I could recommend the hotel, but why would I when the spa day is such an important part of everyone's stay, and they screwed it up completely and never cared to fix it. Nick, the hotel manager on the day before we were leaving, did accommodate us by giving us the last night charge credited back because we had no reason to stay. But still, always not a good thing when you have to cut your vacation short.
