Our rep Alex was very knowledgeable and efficient- he made the entire process smooth and enjoyable. I have seen some negative reviews of this store that are mostly old- I would not hesitate to come here, and this was a great experience for us.

I've been here several times in the past couple years to inquire about phone and internet plans…read more Looking at new phones is always fun, too..... This is your typical AT&T store: bright and spacious with phone displays along the wall (iPhones, Androids, Windows phones, etc.) and a couple center displays with the latest tablets. There is no large television display area, but they do offer U-Verse (whatever the bundles are -- I haven't looked much into it). Employees are friendly and not too pushy, with the exception of a couple of them. You have to be clear and upfront about your intentions when you speak with them. One new development with their phones that I didn't know about until a few days ago: gone are the days when you can just put down $200 for a phone with a 2-year contract. Nope. Now you have to pay full price of the phone, no matter what. Not up front, of course, but in payments over twenty to thirty months with AT&T's NEXT program. Eeek! Unless you're able to shell out the full cost of a phone up front or you opt for one of the cheaper GO phones, you're stuck with a monthly payment for the phone itself in addition to the phone usage bill. Not cool. Along with that, you can upgrade your phone only after a certain amount of time, based on the payment plan you choose. Blah. On one hand, it's nice not to plunk down $200 off the bat for the phone, but it sucks that your bill is essentially higher each month because you're paying for the phone itself too. Let's face it..... phones are getting more expensive these days. Sigh. At least this store is here. No need to drive out to Lexington for assistance. I'm a fan of the store, I suppose. Just not the phone bills.

Commission, Commission, Commission. You get the hint!!!…read more Initial experience in the store, was good. Everyone very polite, however they work on commission so they most likely will be polite and helpful. With that said! I stopped in about getting 4 lines of service and phones. Asked what I thought a simple question "How much is payment a MONTH". Of Course I knew what I was currently paying, just wanted to see other options. He gave me several different sales lines. Again "How much is payment a MONTH". Verizons Sales Agent: Finally he said $140 plus tax and wrote the number down on postie note. Phones have promotion of buy one, get one! Your first couple payments will be high because of the way the promotions for phones work. Back to Me: Wow, that's not bad. Lets do this! After and hour of transferring everything over, understandable. I have phones to trade in. Of course we take trade in. I was told I would get a $250 trade in for 3 iphones. I was finally done. I was out! 1st payment $450, 2nd $250, I called and asked when is bill going to be consistent. Verizon said there was a bunch of extra features i was enrolled on. So they took that off. 3rd $80, 4th $250. Called Verizon again. They said not sure what the sales agent offered you but he was incorrect. The cheapest plan we can get you in will be a reduction in your data plan and will be $200 a month minimum. This isn't what I was told! Verizon said the Georgetown Verizon is not an actual corporate place but and authorized retailer so we can't do anything about their false promises. Your bill will be at least $200 per month. You signed a contract. If you must deal with this authorized retailer of Verizon, make sure you get everything in writing. Down to the cent or go in with the understanding that you'll be paying at least 30% more then what they say!!!

My sister been with Metro for 4 years after switching from a competitor who kept raising the bills…read morenearly every month. She had no problems until this new manager came in. He was originally very nice and accommodating. Her phone broke just 3 days after upgrading and returned to the store to fix it. The manager Ron provided a new phone with a new number as he said he couldn't put the sim card of the phone she just upgraded to in it(her number changed 2x in 3 days now). He said the other number would be removed from the account as it was now inactive. She checked her next bill only to realize the inactive number was still there so this is 2 months of being charged for an inactive line. She called and visited the store and was told it would be taken care. She also called customer service to make sure it was done. They said it would be. The next month comes it is still there. She repeats the month prior and tells store and customer service. Now at 3 months of charges for the line and she again repeats the process. She received this months and surprise the inactive line is still there. Back to the store this was after speaking to him the night before and having him call his employee an idiot and stupid for giving out information to someone not on the account and not law enforcement. The manager Ron tells her to put in an extension and on the 3rd day to come to the store and he would credit the account so she would have no bill for December and transfer her son over from a different account still with Metro. She called to make sure he was there and was told he was not going to be in that day at all by the employee above. She went in the next day and was told by Ron that she didn't come in as she was supposed to and she informed him that he wasn't there either as she had called to check. She called customer service and was told that the manager was the only one who could do the credit as he was the one to promise it to her. She spoke to 2 very rude agents one of which was a 'supervisor' who acted more childish than when her kids and grandkids were 2 years old, refusing to listen and to even speak or give her name. She called back and spoke to a lovely agent named Ane who told her that she did need to go to the store as he was the only one who could do the credit but she was putting in notes stating what my sister had done over the months and that the manager Ron needed to honor his promise as any other company would do. My sister was advised to call customer service and have them speak to him. He did not want to speak to customer service and proceeded to yell at my sister that she was supposed to be in on the 3rd day to 'take care of it'. there were other customers in the store as well as the employee. My sister called back to customer service and received the run around from them yet again saying she needed to go to the store even after telling them that he yelled at her. It is now apparent why Metros competitors are offering so many deals and many of Metros customers are switching if this is the way they are being treated as well.

I understood the issues they had with verifying my credit with a credit alert I had placed with credit reporting agencies due to recent identity fraud issue. However, after several times giving them my home address, phone number, social security number, having them call me on my cellphone while already on phone with them in the store, getting transferred to different departments - I could tell we weren't getting anywhere. The guy on the phone from T-Mobile wanted the T-Mobile store to give him the number of a SIM card. I asked don't they just ship them with a SIM card. They said they are doing things manually - whatever that means. They then had to speak to someone else to get the activation..... Could not get past this point..... My wife was waiting in the car, we had lunch getting cold, and it was now an hour and a half !!!!!!!.... I gave up. Sad as we really wanted the 5G home internet service. The people in the store were nice but the company does not have customer friendly processes and procedures to simply set up an account, take payment, and ship. This should not take a rocket scientist and frustrate the hell out of those wishing to do business with them.
