Stopped by on our road trip home and would definitely come back if ever in the area. During a winter storm they were open and happy to serve everyone while most restaurants in town were closed. Food menu is very basic but it was all good and there is something for everyone. Their ranch seems to be a big deal but I thought it was watery. Definitely get the biscuits and gravy! Highlight of this place is the service. Our waitress was so sweet, patient and attentive. We heard her tell everyone person to be safe driving in the weather as they walked out the door.

    Cool 1950s vibe!

Me and my kids stopped here on our way to Texas. I didn't realize it was a chain, so the locals may have a different opinion, but I loved the environment. It's designed as a classic 50s diner and the food to match. It really felt and tasted like a classic diner. The kids got a kick out of the decor. The food was really good and the value was excellent. Inexpensive kids items and plenty to keep them full on a long car ride. The place was full and the server was still I really attentive. recommend stopping at one of these. It was a great experience.

Monday 03/12/18 3:00 pm. Pretty good food for a little diner. Burgers were hot, fresh and well priced. I can't recommend the bacon cheese fries the cheese was probably American slices. Yuck! I ordered a grilled chicken salad prices at $7.99 iceberg lettuce, a few tomato slices, a hard boiled egg and I asked them to add some onions. They obliged. The chicken was hot and fresh grilled I suspect. Very good for an iceberg lettuce salad dressings a bit runny. Came with 3 packages of Keebler crackers. They had a strawberry milkshake and said it was good. A solid experience.

Stopped in while traveling through town. Atmosphere was fun with a 50's feel. Fried pickles were wonderful!

"Man, that looks good!" She replied with, "it is, and highly recommended!". I had already locked in on a Club sandwich. That was my order with rings. I asked if they were made in the diner. The very nice lady serving us replied with "no" but they are beer battered and are very good. Ok, I'll give 'em a try. My wife went with the Southwest salad, with chicken. A special for today. In a few minutes, out came two loaded plates. A giant platter of salad loaded with chicken and my perfect club sandwich with rings. Check the pictures. The salad was fresh and piled high with chicken, The club sandwich was thick and packed with meats, very good. I had my heart set on house made onion rings. The factory-made rings were good, but no substitution for freshly made. Choose the fried okra. Oh, and you may wonder how I know about how good the fried catfish is, even though I didn't even order it. When my wife got up to use the restroom, the lady in the booth behind us broke off a big chunk of her catfish and turned around. "Here try this." I wasn't going to turn down that polite offer. Glad I tried it. It is good. Be there on Fridays. Big plates of food and excellent sides. Friendly fast service. A cozy, clean small town diner!

The parking lot was packed with cars. A long line of customers were outside, waiting for their turn at the trough. Plan "B." On south to LAKe Country Diner. Turn left on Highway 9 when the traffic clears. Traffic? on Highway 9? Yes, this is Saturday morning. Highway 9 is lined with miles and miles of road side flea markets, junk sales, garage sales, yard sales, and there is always a stationary exercise bike to be found. Some folks just pull off the side of the road and try to sell whatever the hell is in the back of their truck; like pit bull mix puppies, kittens and suspicious looking power tools of untraceable origin (if you know what I mean). Customers were swarming. Parked bumper to bumper in the ditches and shoulder of the road. Pulling out, pulling in. In every direction..... The parking lot at LAKe Country diner was also crowded with cars. Park on the grass. Surprised; the inside of the diner is roomy. Even with the crowd there were plenty of tables and booths available. Seat yourself. The waitresses were having to hustle. Eventually we had coffee and menus. They have an excellent breakfast buffet. Me, sticking with the usual cooked to order. (Check the pictures and video.) I expected a long wait. The meal was on the table in minutes. Prepared exactly as ordered. Good food, good service and they can handle a large volume of customers. Tip: Don't go looking for breakfast on Saturday mornings during flea market season! Oh, and finally the winner of today's best diner table top advertising "Milty the Septic Guy." Milty, for some reason seems like an appropriate nickname for a person in this business. Here is the important part, take note of the PD after his name. That really means something. It means he is licensed to handle crap under pressure! Don't believe that...Google it.
