My bf got Muse+Katy Perry. I got Flood & yay, 1st time I found a used Wombats record! We have no idea what Gravitron is.

The people at the front were very nice and joked around with us. Got some little old figurines and CDs. The CDs prices are not the greatest around but the books and toys seem well priced. Very nerdy vibe and you could spend forever browsing. It's nostalgic in there. The other reviews saying the place is kinda disorganized are correct. I didn't think it unsanitary, though. Probably a good place to hit if you're a geeky collector of something niche... but I'm not that cool, all I have is my CDs. Thanks guys!

I went here today for the first time. I thought it was really cool. Very big store. I was greeted immediately and the two workers appeared to be friendly. I like how the store was organized. I definitely see myself coming back and just strolling down each aisle looking at books.

I'm a second generation Decatur resident who grew up near Toco Hills and my earliest memory of going to Book Nook was with my family in 1985 when I was 7 years old . Back then it was at a different location, a little further down Clairmont Rd. It was paradise to a family of readers as there was something for everyone. We would all separate and wander the aisles of our choice then meet up later. My mother loved contemporary fiction, my brother was a die hard Sci-Fi fan and I would look at comic books. I no longer live in Decatur but my mother does and I still stop by and visit when I'm in the area. They have a huge book selection with great prices and an assortment of gifts. They have a new book section if used books are not your thing. They also buy books and comics that you can cash out for a little money or get a much larger store credit. It's a great place with a long history of helping Decatur residents find books they love at a good price. Please try and shop here as much you can. Gems like this are fewer every year.

Really amazing selection, great staff and terrific prices. If I were designing a used bookstore it would be exactly like this

Unique atmosphere. Labyrinthine stacks of used books that go on forever. A cool selection of pop culture collectibles and toys as well.

A huge beer selection which is nice. All types to pick from. I didn't play any of the games but most seemed to be working. Others enjoying themselves with the games available. A small, warm place with outdoor seating as well. I'm not opposed to going again but I'm not necessarily labeling it as a favorite if that makes sense.

This is a community gathering place with pinball machines and a museum or library of old and new comics centered on Superman being the hero. Certainly the bar is a draw and the food menu is vegan friendly. The hush puppies are a treat for everyone to share and the kale and house salads are well liked. An other shareable appetizer was the tortilla chips and a creamy queso. The Smash Burger was a delight without all the greens and a rootbeer that bore the same name...Smash Burger Beer. However, the best was the tater tots that came with three deep fried? Chicken Fingers on the plate. Service was fine and efficient. Wash up and be astounded by the restrooms scenery before you leave. My Parent's Basement was an interesting detour to get to ATL.

If you consider yourself a vinyl-head in the Atlanta area and you've not visited Criminal Records…read moreyet, it should be considered a crime. Your punishment? A trip to this excellent music shop and I'm sure your visit will be an enjoyable one. I'd been to this place before, but not when I was the vinyl fanatic I am today, so I'm definitely glad I stopped by again... Along with my lady and our dog (they're very dog-friendly). The store is very well-organized, with newer releases towards the front and older/used ones towards the back, all divided by genre and all priced nicely. They also have new and used CDs, posters, t-shirts, and lots of comic books and graphic novels. I'd say a little something for everyone! My lady and I found some great vinyls, including Jimi Hendrix's Electric Ladyland (used 1980 reissue, awesome condition, $17), Tone Loc's Loced After Dark (used original pressing, $7), Queen's Jazz (new reissue, $24), and A Charlie Brown Christmas (new green vinyl, $20). This is a great shop and it'd be a crime to NOT check it out. Plus the staff are all friendly and willing to help you find whatever title you're searching for or even make a good recommendation. If you find yourself in the Little Five Points area of Atlanta, I'd absolutely say check this place out!

This is quite the hidden gem of a bookstore in Atlanta! This place feels very cozy and calming. There are countless books throughout the entire store sorted by genres. They even have a downstairs area filled with additional books as well as periodicals and magazines. The store almost transports you back in time, because there are sooooo many older and vintage copies of books. They even have some signed books for sale too! I saw a Dr. Seuss booked that was signed by the man himself...pretty cool if I do say so myself! The signed copies vary, but definitely take a look when you're there! It would make a super cool gift for someone. Another cool thing, is that they have 2 store cats! You will most likely find them by the front desk with the employees. One was napping when I came and the other was sitting right by the desk. The books all vary in price. It kinda just depends on what you get. I'll definitely be back in the future to take a further look!
