The best vegan cookies!! With the rise of cookie chains like Insomnia Cookies and Crumbl, it's about time for vegans to have some options too! I got a 4 pack of cookies for $17. It was hard to choose just 4 of their delicious flavors, but I went with key lime, cinnamon roll, tiramisu, and birthday cake. All the cookies were baked to soft, chewy perfection. They each had a flavorful filling and topping. The attention to detail was great, definitely justifying the price point. I also got a pizza "pretzel" and it was alright. The pizza flavor was spot-on but the texture was a bit undercooked and floppy. It can be a bit difficult to tell if they're open or not because of the location, which is kind of combined with a lunch spot. But just persevere, check their opening hours, and get your hands on these cookies ASAP!

Delicious vegan cookies here. They have limited business hours so I only get them occasionally. The guy working here is super nice. My fav the s'mores cookie. Great texture and flavor. Some cookies are too sweet for my taste, but others are quite delicious.

Thanks for the home delivery (check their site for current delivery days, flavours & cost! At this time, the 6 pack is $20 + $5 delivery (deliveries on Wednesday or Friday) Absolutely delicious vegan FILLED cookies. I chose a 6 pack of: 2 cinnamon, 2 PB&J, a lemon pie & smores. Could not tell that these are vegan (like some others that taste bland & dry) - these were moist, sweet & delicious!

I had never visited until today, simply because we don't live downtown, nor are there in the mornings. But I had to be downtown first thing, so I made a quick stop to grab a pastry. I don't have a huge sweet tooth, so I got their jalapeno cheese scone ($3.50 plus tax). I'm not a huge scone guy, but this was delectable -- the texture was really fluffy, lightly creamy, and the "cheese" was melted on top perfectly. Really impressive. I will have to come back to try their croissants and other pastries.

Thankyou for having the cakes ready on time, and an East online ordering process! Loved the personal touches on the cake boxes. Good to have an option for vegan cakes in town! We got the carrot cake and a gluten free confetti cake. Unfortunately the confetti cake was a bit dry :(.

Bonus Bakery is a vegan bakery attached to Freshii on Georgia Street. They had some enticing cookies and I asked the server to recommend one and she said she liked the creme brule cookie. It was still warm and gooey in the middle! The dough was sweet and soft and the creme brule part was perfect.

I'm so thrilled to see a new vegan bakery open downtown right now! I am trying to stay away from dairy so I am glad that I don't have to express that I prefer any of the alternative options because sometimes, I'd forget. The atmosphere is quite tranquil in a natural setting. Right up on my alley. It is a great place to do independent work or chat with a friend. Minimal sitting area. Washrooms are clean. For sure will come again. Support local vegan bakeries! #PlantPowered

I want to start by saying I am not a vegan. I love butter and I'm not ashamed. However, I do have a lot of vegan friends and I am so glad that there is a vegan bakery in Downtown that they can get treats to enjoy and quite frankly I enjoy as well! Bonus Bakery has a variety of rotating baked goods and everything tastes so delicious and fresh! I honestly wouldn't know that I was eating vegan baked goods! My favourite thing was the pizza bun. It's so fluffy and flavourful! I could eat definitely eat half a dozen in one sitting. The interior of the bakery looks like it came straight out of an interior design magazine. There's several tables and a communal table for seating so it's a nice place to chat with friends over a cup of coffee and a treat or two.

I had been wanting to try this bakery for awhile, but never had the chance. And recently my baby has been diagnosed with cow's milk protein allergy which mean I have to cut out all dairy products in my diet. I'm so glad that they're now doing deliveries. These cookies are THE BEST COOKIES I've very had in my life. They're soft, moist, not overly sweet. My husband and I were both like "can we get their cookies for our birthday instead of cakes?" They are THAT good!

When I read that there was a new vegan bakery opening, I was incredibly ecstatic. As someone who doesn't consume any dairy products, it was nice to know that I could literally order anything here. This is no bakery to fuel any "healthy" cravings--just a reminder that vegan is not synonymous with healthy, for these treats really are just that: treats. The bakery is connected to a freshii, which is so convenient that it's almost a bit funny. You can get a healthy lunch, then go to Bonus Bakery for a little dessert right afterwards. It was a little confusing trying to figure out which till was for which store upon my first arrival but that's a super small detail. When I came, the bakery was around an hour away from closing, and there weren't too many options available to order. I was particularly interested in the Strawberry Crumble bars, expecting them to remind me of pie crust and some sort of blondie/brownie. I was pretty wrong. It was dry and hard to bite into, and instead of fresh fruit, it was pretty obvious that jam was used in its place. Reminded me a bit like a really oaty granola bar. Not at all moist, and not at all reminiscent of yummy and flaky pie either. I personally didn't really like it. I want to try the "Chicken" and waffles next time. Perhaps I'd have better luck then! Will come back for more.

Does this place still exist? I came here and went around the building multiple times and the only thing there is Freshii!

I was meeting a friend here yesterday who's visiting from California, and when deciding on a meeting place, we realized a bunch of the Gastown coffee roaster places were closed on Sunday, so I mentioned Breka , knowing it was opened 24/7. (LOVE this!). Plus, this site is close to Waterfront Station, and my friend had a busy day planned, taking the Seabus to N.Van and doing a lot of sightseeing. So this Breka was perfect. I was there early at 10 am-ish, and from the outset, I was impressed: exposed brick wall, long counter and display case, fully stocked with the most beautiful pastries and tarts and cakes, and lovely looking sandwiches, too....Just lovely. I ordered a tea from the guy taking the orders. At the check-out, the woman working the cashier was the most unfriendly, aloof person I have ever encountered at a Breka. She was downright dour. Never looked up, never smiled, said I owed X for the tea I ordered, gave me a receipt and said I was "number 3", no "thank you" (despite my saying thanks!), nothing. She looked really unhappy and bothered to be there. (I sat at a nearby table, waiting for my number to be called. I saw her interactions with all the people behind me - and there were quite a few, as it got suddenly busy in the cafe. She was cold and unfriendly to everyone in line as she rang them all up. These are mostly tourists! Why have a dour, borderline-hostile woman at the check-out counter of a busy cafe in a touristy part of our city? I just don't get it). Anyhow, I waited 10 minutes to hear my number called, but I never heard it. I walked up to the take-out area and there was my tea, on a receipt that said "number 3". Did they call out my number? I honestly don't know. I was seated at a table a few feet from the area and listening for my number and I didn't hear it called. I was not impressed with this set-up. Not at all. My friend arrived and got a chocolate concoction which looked amazing, and he loved it, so there's that. I still love Brekas but I probably won't return to this site. Between the cold experience at the cash and the prolonged waiting for my order (a cup of tea!), and not being sure if my order number was ever called, it just all left me with a bitter taste in my mouth.

Gary's only allows to order the fresh mango cakes up to one week ahead to ensure they have enough ripe mangos, which I admire their dedication. We ordered the 6 inch cake for 9 people (7 adults and 2 kids) and everyone got a thin to average slice. The cake is definitely prettier than the other fresh mango cakes on the market, has a lot more mangos that are perfectly ripe and sweet, there is less wipped cream, and the sponge cake is softer. The family agreed that Gary's has the best fresh mango cake but at $69 for a 6 inch cake, versus $43 for a 6 inch mango cake from Saint Germaine, a cake from Gary's is definitely a treat and for special occasions. Is Gary's worth the premium price? I think so but not everyone in my family agreed. One thing to note: Gary's do offer cake in a jar that's $8.50 each. When we went, they had a BOGO deal with the mango cake jars. My nephew asked my sister to buy the BOGO deal knowing that the 6 inch cake was not going to be enough, as the kids like having a second slice of cake.
