We all left for "The GRILL" and when we entered, the place was packed, but they did have a table available, and it was near the Kitchen. At most restaurants, you don't want to be near the Kitchen, but at The GRILL, it's a great place to sit because you are closer to all that Aroma that fills the air all over the entire restaurant, and you get to watch them grill those Steaks. Haylee came over to our table to say "Hello". She is one of the Bartenders here at this time, and informed us that our Server is Katie, who will be with us shortly. We informed her that it's Nancy's "80th" Birthday, and Haylee wished her a Happy Birthday. We also ordered our drinks, Jack-N-Cokes for Nancy and me; Joe is having a Miller Lite. Katie came over shortly, and we informed her that Haylee took our drink order. Soon our drinks arrived, and we toasted to the Birthday Girl. Happy Birthday Nancy. We then looked over the menu some more, trying to decide what we wanted. This is a hard decision because everything they prepare here is delicious, and one of the Best Presentations of Tastyliciousness in town. When Katie returned, we placed our orders. The Birthday Girl is going with, and there is no surprise here, their "Slow Roasted Pork Nachos"; Chipotle Sauce, diced Tomatoes, Cilantro, Black Beans, Cheddar Cheese over Fresh Chips with sliced Green Jalapenos on the side, all covering a load of Fresh, Crunchy Chips. Joe is having their "Baby Back Ribs", "Fall-Off-The-Bone-Ribs" with house-made BBQ Sauce, served with Creamy Coleslaw & Shoestring Potatoes. He also ordered a side Salad with House Dressing. I am going with one of my favorites - everywhere - a Burger. Not just any burger, but their "Texas Burger": Half Pound of Seasoned Fresh Ground Chuck, Shredded Cheddar Cheese, Canadian Bacon, Onions, jalapeños, and mustard with Mesquite Sauce. Served with Shoestring Potatoes (choice). Orders are in, and we ordered another round of drinks for us. The GRILL has the best Bartenders in the area, and their drinks go down smooooooth. Our drinks arrived just before the food did, and it's hard to decide what to enjoy next. Okay, it was kind of easy. When you are presented with a drink, you take a sip just to let the drink know you appreciate it being a good drink. The GRILL does an amazing job with their Presentation of food. Joe's Baby Back Ribs are glistening on his platter (yes, a platter, not a plate), waiting for him to indulge. They didn't have to wait very long, because he did just that. Those Ribs have a lot of bones across the platter, and he started at one end and went to the other end. He said it was delicious, or something like that, because when one drools, it's hard to come up with the words. Their Shoestring Potatoes are always good, and the Creamy Coleslaw has a nice crunch to it, along with tasty flavoring. My Wife, as always, enjoyed those Slow Roasted Pork Nachos. There is a lot of pulled pork in there, along with a lot of everything else. The Jalapeños are on the side, so you can add as much heat to each bite as you want. This dish is not only Tastylicious, but a very Colorful one at that. It's like Christmas in August. Nancy ate more of this than she normally does. I took a bite, and it is really good, and what a deal. Joe finished off the rest, and the plate is clean. I have had this Texas Burger a few times before, and it's a hard one to pass up each time we are here. This must be a full Half-Pound patty, because it's Thick & Big. Love the strong taste and the amount of Cheddar Cheese Strips on this Burger; it's not too much, but it's also not a little amount. The Jalapeños are also just the right amount of heat to complement every bite. The Canadian Bacon on a Texas Burger does not sound right, but it is the right touch. The flavor goes perfectly with the entire Burger. For me, this entire Texas Burger is the Best Burger in the area, and I have had many a burger all over. Love those Shoestring Potatoes. They have a nice Crunch all the way around and are salted Just-Right. I usually do not salt anything per Doctor's orders, but these I make an exception for. The Texas Burger does it for me every time I order it. Every one of us joined the Clean Plate Club for the night, and we all get a Gold Star. Haylee and Katie earned the "Dollar-Bow-Tie" Award for going 'above-n-beyond' the norm. Haylee made our drinks for the night, and Katie checked on us throughout our stay at just the right time. The email stated that all you have to do is go to Texas Roadhouse and pick up a sealed envelope, keep it unopened, and then bring it back between the dates of June 22 and 26th. The Manager will then open the envelope, revealing the prize you will receive. The Main Prizes are a 65" TV, a BBQ Grill, a James Avery Gift Card, or Free Steak for a Year. There are various other prizes also. Well, we did just that. We picked up our envelope and kept it in a jar of mayonnaise on Funk & Wagnalls porch (just like Carnac the Magnificent did) for safekeeping. On Tuesday, the day arrived, and we went to Texas Roadhouse for dinner. We checked in with the Hostess, and it was easy to find our booth. We just followed the aroma coming from the Basket of Fresh Hot Rolls they provide with their Honey Cinnamon Butter. First thing we did was grab one of those Delicious Rolls, added lots of that Honey Cinnamon butter, and began one of life's greatest pleasures. These Rolls are Awesomelyliciousnes. Our Server, Keleigh, came over and took our drink order. We both are having their Daily Special, Long Island Iced Teas (for only 5-bucks ea). We looked over the menu while our drinks were being made. Soon, Keleigh brought over our drinks, and we placed our order. My Wife and I both are going with their "Road Kill": 10 oz Chopped Steak, Seasoned with their Signature Steak Seasoning, smothered with Yellow Onions & Bella Mushrooms sauteed in Butter, topped with melted Jack Cheese. Served with two sides. We both went with the "House Salad": Fresh Greens, Cheddar Cheese, Tomatoes & Crumbled Egg with Croutons. Also, Ranch Dressing. She went with the "Seasoned Rice"; Rich, Buttery, and Savory prepared using Long Grain White Rice, Chicken & Beef Broth, Soy Sauce, Yellow Onion, Smoked Paprika, and Garlic Powder with Black Pepper. I am having the "Texas Red Chili": Made from scratch, Ground-up Steak Trimmings & Rich Tomato & Beef Broth Base, heavily seasoned with Chili Powder & Cumin. Topped with Shredded Cheddar Cheese and chopped White Onion. While we waited for our food, we enjoyed those Long Island Iced Teas. Texas Roadhouse makes the Best LITs around. Lots of flavor from all the liquor blended in this masterpiece by their Bartenders. We also ate the basket of Rolls, which were served Fresh, Hot, and Meltylicious. Soon, the House Salads arrived, and no one in town makes them like TRH does. They are not only a Beautiful Presentation of Deliciousness, but are served Fresh, Cold and Crisp. They don't skimp on size either; it covers the entire plate. We enjoyed our salads, and soon after, my Cup of Texas Red Chili arrived. I Love Red Chili, and get this almost every time we come here - it's that good. Not only is it flavorful, but also Very Warm with just the right amount of Chili Heat for me. One of these times, I am going to order a Bowl of this Texas Red Chili. It should go perfectly with their Fresh Hot Rolls. But that's next time, maybe, or the time after that. They have so much to choose from, it's hard to decide what enjoyment you want. Shortly after my Chili was devoured, they brought out our "Road Kill". This is the first time my Lovely Wife has ordered the Road Kill, and it's probably the upteenth time for me. It is also the Best Road Kill I have ever had, anywhere. It's known as Chopped Steak at other restaurants, but TRH names it properly. It makes me wonder what road they use. Both are a thing of Beauty, and they are not skimping on size. The toppings are also plentiful and look delicious. Mine is Med-Rare, while Nancy's ordered Medium. Her first bite said it all, because she took a second bite before she said anything. This is some Good Road Kill. I love how they season this chopped steak, it's amazinglylicious with every bite, juicy and full of flavor. The Sauteed Mushrooms & Onions only add more flavor to this Perfectly Seasoned Road Kill. I finished all of mine and am completely stuffed to the gills. Nancy ate half of hers and took it home with the Seasoned Rice for Lunch on Wednesday. Keleigh was a delight to talk to, checked on us at just the right time. She is not only a Top Server, but Very Beautiful. She also earned the "Dollar-Bow-Tie" Award for going 'above-n-beyond' the norm. And she bartends here at times, and we look forward to seeing her again. Keleigh also noticed that I'm a Veteran and gave us 10% off our meal. The Manager stopped by our booth to see how we are doing, and also opened up our envelope to see what gift was in store for us. (I did wipe all the mayo off) We didn't win the 65" TV, or any of the other Big Prizes, but we did win a "Sidekick of Shrimp or Ribs", which is great for us because both of these are some really good stuff. Like this food, it was so simple, chicken fried steaks, grilled chicken breast, a Thanksgiving lunch on Sundays, side salads, humble sides... but it's all so absolutely ridiculously GOOD. We started with the large plate of onion rings (which is $7.50, btw, you won't find that anywhere else) and my sister lost her mind about them. lol For our entrees we had two chicken fried steak plates (different sides) and a grilled chicken plate. They also have a full menu, but this special sounds good. My wife and I arrived around 5pm and not many here. Sat in a booth and our server, ---, came over with some menus. My wife decided on the Chef's Salad with Italian Dressing, and I'm going with their Turkey Dinner. They don't list the ingredients of the Chef's Salad, but they do for the Turkey Dinner. Unfortunately, it's not on the website. You know what's in a Chef's Salad, and the Turkey Dinner is what you normally have on Thanksgiving. At Dun Bar, it doesn't take long to have your order served. In just a couple of minutes, it's on your table. My Wife's Chef's Salad is served in a huge bowl with a lot of wedged tomatoes covering everything. My Turkey Dinner is one big pile of turkey dinner stuff. Container of Cranberries (looks more like cranberry paste). This was pretty good. Green Beans, nice flavor, and a lot. Scoop of Mashed Potatoes, didn't think much of this, and I love mashed potatoes. A large pile of Dressing atop some shredded turkey, and not much shredded turkey, with no flavor. Expected sliced turkey. Gravy was atop the dressing with very little flavor. Loved the sweet taste of the Fruit Salad. Best part of the whole dinner. We were asked if we wanted a basket of rolls, and we said no. My wife said her Chef's Salad was okay. I agree, I ate a lot of this and it was okay. There is enough in this bowl to serve two people with leftovers. You get a lot of food here, but in my case, it was tasteless, bland, and very disappointing in the quality and amount of food. The Turkey Dinner Special also comes with dessert. This was Chocolate Walnut Cake, and it was chocolaty, creamyliciousness. The last time we were here was some time back, and I had the Fried Chicken.
