After about 45 minutes of looking, we selected a dress, got my daughter fitted, paid for it and was on our way. Araceli is very helpful and knowledgeable. She was able to make what could have been a disastrous situation into a great one! I'm so glad we came in and gave Araceli's a chance. If you buy a dress from her, she will register the dress to the school that you're attending prom at. This will ensure that no one else purchases the same dress.

I had the pleasure of working with Keri the owner. I told her I had a small budget to work with and she didn't bat an eye at it. She explained the layout of the dresses and gave me clips to place on all the dresses I wanted to try on. She said I could pick as many as I wanted. My mom and I had so much fun looking through the dresses and putting clips on everything I wanted to try on. I need to give a little bit of back story here. I had an appointment with David's Bridal on Saturday. I hated my experience there. The sales lady was extremely nice but she kept bringing me dresses to try on that were outside of my budget. I didn't like any of the dresses she brought and really didn't get to go look through the dresses myself. I went to Cinderella Cellar too and the owner there was nice but I could tell she wasn't open to helping me for my small budget. The experience with Keri at Little Black Dress was so different. It was so much fun trying on the dresses and she helped my mother and I feel so relaxed and comfortable. I had read previous reviews stating they didn't have a large selection of wedding dresses. I didn't pay attention to the date that review was written but it was wrong because I found way more beautiful dresses there then I did at David's bridal. I'm happy to say that I found my dress and Keri made that fun too. She has a sign that reads, "I said yes" and she will take a picture of you with the sign and provide champagne as well. We are a bit unconventional: I didn't want a white dress and my daughter didn't want a dress at all, so we had some issues at other places. Particularly for my daughter, who seemed to scare the heck out of any guy working at a tux shop when he realized he'd have to measure her. Thank goodness we found LBD where they fitted her for a tux that she loved with no problems. I ended up with a bridesmaid dress since I didn't want white, but they recommended a seamstress who helped me embellish it into just what I wanted. The missing star is for my bridesmaid's experience. When she tried the sample on in the store, it fit like a dream, it was just the wrong color. It would seem when they put the order in, they ordered the wrong size completely (an 8 instead of a 6) and since it took 3 months to get there, we had to have it severely altered just to fit, which was sad for my friend because she had planned to alter it into something she would wear again and again, but all her alteration budget went to making it fit instead. She did reach out to the owner to try and get them to make it right in some way. Unfortunately, they took no responsibility for the mistake, and dismissively gave her $50 for alterations. Alterations which ended up costing $110 after it finally fit. So I guess it just depends. I had a great time with this business, my best friend not so much.

After getting quotes from several places in town, both for renting and buying, Black Tie offered the best value, so we decided to go with them. On my first visit, a young lady helped me. She was courteous and professional, knowledgeable, and able to answer all of my questions. We came back a few weeks later to reserve the tuxedos and get everyone measured. Two young men helped us that day, and we were given a higher price than the original quote. When I mentioned the price the young lady had given me, they honored the original quote without any issue. I appreciated that. Because one of the men couldn't make it to the fitting with the rest of us, he went in separately at a later time. An older gentleman helped him and, not knowing that I had already paid the deposits, had him pay a deposit for his tuxedo. Later, when I was paying the remaining balance, the total initially came out differently from what I had calculated. I pointed this out, and after checking the numbers with a calculator, they agreed that my total was correct. I don't believe any of these discrepancies were intentional. Since we were helped by different people at different times, it seemed like there may have been some communication or record-keeping issues regarding the original quote and payments already made. I would just recommend keeping track of your quotes and payments, especially if different members of your party are coming in separately. The store is small but has a good variety of suits and tuxedos on display. There are fitting rooms and comfortable chairs, which made the process easy for everyone. The men and the boy tried on different items until they found what fit them best. The staff assisting us were helpful throughout the fitting process. Overall, the rental process from beginning to end was pretty smooth. Everyone we worked with was professional and helpful, and we were happy with the value and service we received.

One cuff link broke on the spot as we were trying to put them on, the back of the jacket was dirty with a white spot of god knows what, and the sleeve was wrinkled. This was an upsetting experience and I was embarrassed for The Black Tie. To rent out a tux in that condition. Shame on you guys!! My son ended up wearing a tie instead of the bow tie. Do better on quality control, Black Tie!! I should've gotten my money back because tux rentals are not cheap. Needless to say, I think next time we'll look elsewhere.
