I requested a quote online 5 days ago and didn't get a response. I decided to call them directly on Monday to get a quote and the gentleman I spoke with was incredibly friendly. He told me he could come by today (Thursday) for a free quote between 4 and 6 and would text me when he was near. He had my phone number as well as my husbands. Well it's 7:45 and he never showed, called, texted... nothing. It's so disappointing because he seemed like he would be great to work with. I understand things happen but a simple phone call would've been nice to let us know he wasn't coming. If we can't depend on you for a simple quote we definitely don't feel comfortable trusting you with our move. read more

The entire office staff were blown away by their services - from booking to follow ups to the actual move. And not only did the movers arrive 30 minutes earlier than expected, but they worked fast, hard and diligent. I moved a few days ago and called Action after the other moving company I considered didn't answer their phone (on a business day at approximately 3 pm). I got Action's number from the local Better Business Bureau website where Action was listed as an A+ Better Business Bureau accredited business. I spoke with Craig, the owner, and scheduled my move. Action called the evening before to reconfirm and then showed up 15 minutes early the day of the move. The contractual paperwork was clear and the move started. The guys were easy to work with, fast, and nothing was damaged. At the arrival destination (my girlfriend's house) the movers even offered to disassemble my dining room table (since Sweety vetoed its use in her house), which they did, and did a great job. I was extremely statisfied with the service I received and their price was competitive ($95 per hour because it was a weekday). I hope to not have to move again soon (unless Sweety kicks me out) but if I do I will call Action. read more

This review is long overdue -- I moved from Fresno to Los Angeles this past January and Action Movers made the relocation seamless and stress free. I called approximately ten (10) days prior to my move and Craig was incredibly accommodating and was able to schedule a walk through of my place the following day. I found their prices to be very competitive compared to other movers located in Fresno. Other movers I had called only gave me the option of picking up my belongings and then waiting a week or two for it to be delivered, as they had to schedule other moves for the same route in order for it to be worthwhile for them. I didn't like this option at all since I didn't like the idea of having a moving truck filled with my belongings and those of two to three other people. It just increases the likelihood of error. The day of the move, Craig and another fellow were so professional and had such a great attitude about everything, which put me at ease, especially since I had not finished boxing up my dishware and glassware when they arrived (exactly on time). I have used Action Movers 2 times now to move my Dad. Once from his house to San Joaquin Gardens in September 2016 and just recently in January 2017 after my Dad passed away from Cottonwood Court to move his furniture back to his old house for our estate sale soon. Each time I used them they were phenomenal! Showed up on time if not early, were quick in packing up his things but at the same time extremely careful. Their fees were very reasonable. Brian was very professional and courteous. Unfortunately, Action Movers was not available when I had to hire movers to move my Dad from San Joaquin Gardens to Cottonwood Court in October 2016 and I had to hire Meathead Movers, there were 3 times the cost! 3rd moving company that i have used over the years so have a pretty good idea for comparison. paid 110/hr weekday move. Took over 8 hours to load and unload truck for a cross city move. The 2 person crew would have to make two trips for our house, and they were slowing down quite a bit so I had to cut them off and move the rest myself. i didnt feel this company is worth the 5 star rating because of pricing, speed, and size of crew. read more

I hired Action Movers when we bought our house. The lady I talked to on the phone was very courteous and very accommodating. She said they would be to my place at 8:30 and they showed up at 8:26. The guys (Brian and Kenny) started right away. They offered me closet boxes for my clothes which I happily accepted. That alone save me a couple hours since I planned on walking my clothes out to my vehicle one stack at a time. The guys finished loading the truck in exactly one hour. Got to the new place and they got right back on it and started unloading. They were very careful not to hit the walls or door frames. Everything arrived and in place with no damage. Craig (owner) and his family moved me from Fresno to Temecula yesterday with the utmost professionalism and ease--and a kind disposition to boot! 1. GREAT PRICE. I was very impressed with the reasonableness of the cost. Because I don't have many things, I don't meet the minimum load requirement (around 9000 lbs) of many of the other moving companies. I would have had to pay almost twice as much with another mover. Further, because I moved on a holiday weekend (Memorial Day), everywhere else would have charged me a premium; Action Movers did not! 2. AMAZING PROFESSIONALISM. A couple of days after I called to inquire, Craig promptly provided a written quote. On moving day, Action Movers showed up 5 minutes EARLY and were extremely pleasant and careful when they were loaded and unloaded my things. Craig promptly provided me with an invoice before the move, stating the charges, so there were no surprises. 3. HIGH EFFICIENCY. Action Movers has an efficient loading/unloading system! They were able to load my things onto the truck in less than an hour. They were also able to unload them and carry everything up THREE flights of stairs to my third story apartment in just over an hour. They were quick but careful not to scratch or scuff any walls or flooring. 4. WONDERFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE. Craig and team are a joy to work with. They were extremely attentive in asking where I would like things to be placed and were accommodating when I wanted to rearrange furniture. They did everything with a smile--even after going up and down my 3 flights of stairs several times! BOTTOM LINE: Great price for great service from wonderful people. The movers themselves were good. They were careful to not scratch walls, doors, casings or furniture. Unfortunately, Craig's wife ( one of the owners), was not very nice. She insisted that she had told me they charge double time when driving from pickup to dropoff point. I was quoted $115 per hour and was given a $5 senior discount which brought me down to $110 an hour. I would then be charged in 15 minute increments. Never was it mentioned to me about charging double time when driving. Didn't appreciate her attitude but grateful Craig agreed to waive the double time fee. Also, somehow my parents were given someone else's washer and dryer. Goodness only knows where theirs went. What was unloaded from the truck and put into their home was not the set my parents owned. Unfortunately there is nothing we can do about it. I only wish my Mother would have noticed when the items were unloaded from the truck. I was so hoping by reading the reviews that this was going to be a good choice. I guess it can't always be good and this was one of those times. read more
