First we came across a large patch of mold under the old flooring which caused 2 days delay while my trusty handyman Carl and I did some remediation. Then Spencer's wife went into labor and Les was left babysitting "big" brother while Spence was standing by in hospital for the birth of his new daughter. The floor required 17 bags of self leveler, 6 of which Les had on hand and for which he comped me. He & the crew removed the appliances back and forth to the carport without batting an eye. Never once did I hear a complaint and Les stayed calm as a cucumber throughout all the delays. Remarkably, the tenants were able to move back in only one day later than planned! Even more amazing, the total price came in at 42% or more LESS than the estimate by my original flooring contractor, Freestyle, who had canceled a couple of weeks prior (with deposit in hand!) due to a personality issue. What a blessing in disguise THAT was!! Les will be installing an engineered wood floor in my own house next month and his estimate (as well as the other two that I obtained) is a whopping 64% less than Freestyle! Let the pictures tell the story...

They came highly recommended by the owners of Bamboo Maui and Les and his team did not disappoint. They arrived on time and every time as they indicated. No trying to find them out surfing in front of my house at Sandpiles! They are professionals, leveled our plywood subfloor, and laid the base concrete so we would have perfectly level vinyl floors. Les and his team installed the baseboards, reducers, and transitions and they all look amazing. They hauled away our old floor, moved our furniture, cleaned up after themselves every day, and even returned our extra flooring so we could have a refund. Les' pricing is very reasonable in Maui's tight market given how difficult it is to find qualified contractors. Overall we are extremely happy and satisfied.

We love our contractor…read more We bought a house built in 1967 with a vision to partially remodel creating an open concept floor plan with an addition of a second bathroom and laundry room.  We chose Michael as our contractor because of his experience, reputation and professionalism. Our partial remodel turned into a total home remodel including leveling floors and vaulting the ceilings.  Michael was flexible and open throughout the process and willing to incorporate all of our changes as the remodel progressed.  We are very thankful for his attention to detail, his practical suggestions to design and providing top notch quality work.  Michael has a great team.  We were very happy with his choice of electrician (Eric), plumber (Chris) and painter (Edgar), who were all very flexible, professional, and reliable.  All subcontractors were highly experienced and we felt confident their work would pass all inspections and exceeded our standards.  We are also very happy with his team who worked at the house every day.  They not only did an amazing job but were also very respectful to us as the homeowners.  The care they showed was as if they were working on their own home.  We were equally confident and impressed with all of Jake's skills including tile work, framing, deck work and all of the finishing touches inside the house. Remodeling can be both a stressful and an expensive experience.  Michael helped lessen any stress by being available by phone, text or email and responding the same day or by the next day.  His knowledge of product and project costs guided us in all of our design decisions also reducing the stress of the cost of the remodel.  We have since moved into our "Dream Home" and are completely in love with every detail of our "New Home."  Hand's down.  We highly recommend Michael and his team at MF Construction Inc. for your remodel needs.

They were much more reasonably-priced than other contractors--who we couldn't afford at all--so we were wary about the old saying, "You get what you pay for" when we first hired them. Much to our relief, contractor/owner Mike and his crew delivered. They've always been very professional and efficient and they cleaned up after they were done. Mike's friendly and laid-back demeanor belies the fact that he is very organized and is juggling a million details all at once, stretched over multiple different job sites. He got the job done when he said it would be done, in the manner he said it would be. MF Construction is now our go-to contractor on Maui if/when the need arises. We would definitely hire them again.

We are absolutely in love with the finished result. The team was on time every single day and they were very professional. We have a dog who is still a bit of a puppy and they were so great with her craziness, too. The end result far surpassed anything I expected, and there were so many finishing touches that really give each room a WOW factor. Ron was incredibly responsive, communicative, and kept us in the loop every step of the way. When challenges arose, as they often do in a remodel, Ron was quick to offer creative solutions and keep the project on track. The workers he brought in were true experts, ensuring everything was done to the highest standard. We couldn't be happier with the results and would highly recommend Ron for any contracting project.
