Bones N Scones is a great animal boutique with a huge variety of high-quality food and all other accessories your pets might need at good prices. Visiting in the Palm Springs area with my senior cockapoo, I needed special food to help her battle intestinal problems. I walked into bones and scones, and the two women working there were so helpful! I bought a whole new kind of food that did miraculous wonders within the first week for my poor old girl. So, for the next two months, while visiting Palm Springs, I kept going to bones and scones. April, works at both locations in Palm Springs and is the most professional, knowledgeable friendly, bubbly, young woman I have experienced in the retail setting in a LONG TIME! Bones N Scones is so lucky to have April! read more

Awful experience had a worker follow me around the whole time I was in the store very uncomfortable.. as I was saying on Google they should change the floor plan to an open concept so they don't have to follow customers around as if everyone in the planet was stealing.. very horrible customer service and whoever those guys were that were working that day. Very foul people. read more

They used to cater to the pets and now they just look to profit. Last year they sold me a happy birthday cake for my dog and this year they only had a cake that said "celebrate". It was twice the price and half the size. I won't be back. They aren't in the right business. read more

cute shop with lots of pet options. i was looking for leashes since my pup chewed up his. staff friendly.

I've been purchasing our dog food from Bones N Scones for eons now. But today I was motivated to leave a review. Due to some life changes I had to set up delivery and online purchasing today. NATHAN walked me through it step by step. I swear, he spent like 20-30 mins on the phone with me. So patient and good at explaining. Excellent employee. Great job Bones N Scones! You have a keeper! Thanks Nathan for your help today. And thanks Bones N Scones for keeping my pups well-fed. AND for offering delivery!!! Bravo! read more

I love Bones-N-Scones. The people who work there are very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. Great selection of healthy pet food. I am also happy that I can support a well run local business rather than buying my pet supplies online. A+ read more

We are now devoted to Bones-N-Scones. The staff is knowledgeable and personable. Consistently a lovely experience. They stock difficult to find pet food. The array of dry, canned and frozen foods is very impressive. Even able to offer several varieties of raw diet for our Kitty. They even offer delivery. So glad we found them. read more

Was stopping by from LA and was warmly greeted by Michael. He was so knowledgeable and led us to the perfect treats for our senior dog! We also bought some scones because Michael told us that they make them fresh in-house! Definitely recommend checking them out :) read more

Bones-N-Scones - my dog - Pet Stores Near Me - Palm Springs, California

I have to admit I've only been here once and I used a gift card given to me, so I don't know how detailed of a review I can give. We just had to put our dog down recently and someone had given us a gift card. So we decided to go in and buy a bunch of treats to give to dogs on Saint Francis day when we bless all the little critters. The person behind the counter was super sympathetic, and her genuine care made me tear up a little. It's hard to lose a furry loved one. It's good to give that love back out into the world. I would come here again. read more

The absolute BEST staff with high quality pet food! We rescued a malnourished puppy yesterday and the owner Kathy was extremely knowledgeable in regards to diet and how to feed her back to health. The staff was so kind and sweet to our newest family member. They also make fresh dog cookies in the shop. Cannot recommend Bones-N-Scones enough! read more

Bones-N-Scones - So happy here! - Pet Stores Near Me - Palm Springs, California

I was berated by a senior staff member after asking why my 5 messages weren't returned by him personally, and saying "that is what my staff is for", I'm too busy to personally answer questions from customers! Wow!!! If I had ever spoken to a customer, during my 40 years of retail management, I would have been fired immediately. After being a customer for 10 years!!! They are the only game in town that sells the food that I buy. I like to keep money locally, thinking seriously about ordering directly from the company that makes it, or AMAZON... read more

Shame on you. BEWARE! Bones-N-Scones is now deceiving customers with misleading dual pricing scheme on items. The prices listed are not the regular price instead they are a "perk" price with the actual price in very small type below the "perk price" for a paid membership- which a very rude employee abruptly explained when I mentioned that there was a discrepancy in what the listed price was and what I was charged. I have been buying all my pet products from this business since they were a small shop on Sunny Dunes. Now they want loyal customers to purchase a membership while deceiving unknowing shoppers charging a higher price. Cashing in on customers who don't check their receipt with two different prices listed but burying the actual cost below the "perk" pricing. I'm done. Shame on you Bones-N-Scones. read more

What a great staff. I was visiting Palm Spring and came in just seeking to buy a present for a local friend with a dog. The gentleman there was helpful, friendly and kind. While I don't live here, I'd definitely be back if I did. read more

My husband went here cuz our dog had a tummy issue while we were in Palm Springs for the week back in Dec & it's close to our friend's house. The guy who works here (husband doesn't recall who) was SUPER helpful - recommended to give our dog carrots & kefir instead of powdered probiotic. Worked immediately & has become part of his regular diet a few times a week - no tummy issues since! Amazing. Thank you!!!! Also got some homemade pumpkin treats our dog loved we will be back for more next time we're in PS. read more

Everyone here is awesome. My cat has a bunch of allergies, and she can only eat one specific type of food. Although this store doesn't carry it, they order cases of it for me when I need it. This is my go-to pet store for sure! read more

This is one of my favorite mom and pop shops that's left in the Coachella valley! The Coachella valley is getting so mainstream that hidden gems like this need to be Yelped from the roof tops! I have been going to this Bones-n-Scones for a few years now. The best thing I like about this shop is it's easy to navigate! It's big enough to walk around with out worrying you are stepping on a fellow shoppers elbow room or toes. They also carry a brand called Fromm ***Yelpers, trust me on this: Read about this AMAZING made in the USA made pet food facility and Fromms food product line! It's the best dog food we've researched and found for our fur zoo! They carry other 5 star quality food lines like...Nulo, Signature, Kasiks and Origins... Last time I was in I asked a question and was hesitant about trying a new freeze dried method of food. The type you just add water and "poof" it's a meal. I was so happy the girl behind the counter offered a sample and it made the process easier! They have an excellent assortment of cat food too. I will give a customer service shout out to the girl at the front with the pink and fun colored hair! She's dynamite and gave me a few samples of hard kibble for my cat and great advice on how to integrate the food into her bowl. IT WORKED! She's got kitty voodoo because I thought it would be impossible to trick my snobby cat. When I travel back to LA I actually load up and buy the bulk of my food from this store vs ordering from an online retailer. #supportlocalbusinesses I also get some great samples and an over all nice attitude from a staff that is helpful but not bothersome! Ask about the rewards system so you can accumulate more discounts and get better deals! read more

Amazing shop I've been coming here a little under a decade now use to love going to the small shop on sunny dunes, ever since my dog was born I've spent so much money here I absolutely love it! Incredible employees and great small shops, from goats milk when my pup needed to be bottle feed to the nutritional dog food they have with so many toppers and incredible homemade treats, the only thing I can give a negative response to is there reward system! Ever since they changed it during Covid It absolutely makes no sense, I buy so many bags of food and spend 200$+ about every 2 weeks and never get a free bag, it use to be every 10 bags you got one free which makes it so easy and convenient, the employees don't even understand the reward system. my dogs about to be 8 and he's so healthy but unfortunately since Covid everything is so expensive and I've had to reduce spending and can barely just buy just his single bag of food, and Rottweiler eat a lot, I always look forward to that free bag and it seems like the points never move. Sucks to say but with petcos free delivery, discounts, and buy 9 bags get the 10th free and all the other competitors prices it seems like you should be switching up your reward system back to the way it use to be, or get an app that customers can keep track of there points so they know how if it actually works and what to expect from watch purchase. My dog Bobby loves it here but we just can't afford it anymore and it's makes me incredibly sad especially for how long I've been loyal to this company. read more

Love some bones and scones, the place smells so good inside, like Gramma baking, but for my dogs!

I love supporting my local and neighborhood stores. Bones-N-Scones has a lot of high quality products at affordable prices. I came in for dog food and for homemade bones and scones. Bought a bag of Fromm dog food and bought a variety of bones / scones. My puppy loves them! The staff and owner are very knowledgeable and friendly. Really enjoyed talking with them. Forget the big box stores - PetCo and Petsmart. Support local. read more

Great place. Knowledgeable staff. Finally found food our dogs eat and healthy to boot!

We use to shop there for both of our dogs food. One of our dog developed diarrhea over from the food. The other dog we purchased the soft slightly cooked food for. She developed severe pancreatic and had to see the vet twice and be on medications for weeks. Our vet told us that the so called holistic, grain free, freshly cooked food can be very bad for your pet. Please check with your vet before you purchase any food that is slightly cooked. Most of the employees at the store are not trained at all. read more

Their pup cupcakes are AMAZING! The staff is very kind and helpful - I will definitely be stopping back in soon.

I adore this place and the people in it. I come here for all of Aiden's food and treats. I love how they carry all natural, by-product free foods and other essentials. I often buy their homemade doggy frozen yogurt for the hot summer days in the desert. While their selection of toys, shampoo, and pet accessories are limited, that is not the true focus of Bones n Scones. Kathy (owner) and David (manager) are very helpful and knowledgeable about the products they carry. Cute space off of Sunny Dunes across from the antique store. If you love your pet and care what you feed them...this is the place for you. read more

Bones-N-Scones is my favorite place to buy dog food and supplies due to their great customer service and awesome selection of all-natural, human-grade, species-appropriate pet foods and treats. As the sign above the door says, this is a health food store for pets. The focus at Bones-N-Scones is on high quality boutique brands that use ingredients sourced entirely in the US and Canada. Most, though not all, of the pet food brands they carry also use human-grade ingredients. About that: Only foods like Honest Kitchen that use ingredients USDA inspected and approved for human consumption AND manufactured in a human food processing plant are allowed to carry the human-grade label. Brands like Orijen and Acana use ingredients passed fit for human consumption but are manufactured in the company's own processing plant, which makes nothing but their pet foods, so they can't use the human-grade label on their packaging. They do, however, tell you about the human-grade status of their ingredients on their website. Any company that doesn't do that, I would strongly suspect that their ingredients are NOT approved for human consumption. Someone said that pet foods at Bones-N-Scones are a little overpriced -- no, not really. Prices are comparable to or even a bit lower than what you would pay online. The reason prices are high is that these are ultra premium foods. You get a kibble like the Orijen we buy that consists entirely of free-range, hormone/antibiotic-free meats and eggs, locally wild-caught fish and fresh vegetables and fruits with zero cheap fillers like grains or potatoes, well, OF COURSE that's going to be pricey! Granted, things like supplements, shampoo, chews and toys, you may be able to find a little cheaper online, but we like to support locally and independently-owned businesses -- especially when the people running the store are as awesome as Kathy and David. Both are knowledgeable about pet nutrition, and customer service at Bones-N-Scones is always top-notch. Plus, they're very generous with samples, which is much appreciated. Bones-N-Scones also has their own bakery where they whip up biscuits, scones, cupcakes, cakes and other treats. Last time I was there I was given a freebie biscuit that smelled so good I was seriously tempted to bite into it myself. The dogs were very happy I didn't; they absolutely loved it. If you want the absolute healthiest food for your canine and feline family members, Bones-N-Scones is the place to go. read more

I could say i shop here because they carry all my pets favorites. I could say I shop here because it's convenient and easy to get in and out of. I could say that the staff all have a great ability to make you feel like your not out shopping for your particular finicky feline princess who awaits scowling at the door, fork in hand; but more like you stopped in to visit some helpful friends who provide sage advice and and an endless supply of hard candy. I could say all of this and now I have; etched in stone on yelp for all to behold for generations and their grandchildren (who will all spay and neuter their pets and feed them only quality sources proteins free of grains and fillers..) to behold and they will go to Bones n Scones and will know that all is good. read more
