Drop off and pick up is pretty simple. I arrived for my appointment with my little one right on time but it was a little wait as the groomer was finishing up another fur baby. It was fine, I just waited outside. The gentleman that took care of us the following time took cared of us again. I'm assuming they kept track of whoever took care of whom. So it was nice to know what to expect. Time frame was about an hour and half for bathing and grooming. You know it's nice to just say I want it short and they take it from there. Pickup was simple as well. The little one was cute on arrival with a cute cut and accompanied by a bandana and fall bows to match. A cutie if I say so. The service was great and everything was as expected. This place is cash or check only so be prepared when it's time for payment. Their price is based on size of pet and what service is needed. Both time it's been great and very pleased with the service. Highly recommend.

I called barking lot and asked if they had any appointments available. They gave me Joey's INFORMATION one of the Groomers at Barking Lot who made the time & was able to fit my neighbors dog. This was her first visit to the Groomers. I was pretty nervous about how Chanel, that's the dog's name would react to her first Groomers visit. Well, I'm glad to say that Joey was amazing with her. He did such a great job! I was so happy with how Chanel looked ... that a few weeks later I brought my 4 1/2 year-old Chihuahua Pomeranian, also known as a Pomchi. I called Joey to see if he had any thing available for the Fourth of July weekend. He was wonderful. He was able to squeeze My Mini-me first thing in the morning on the Fourth of July. Thank you so much Joey for being so accommodating but more importantly for making my Mini-Me look fabulous! We appreciate the large kennel for the large dogs rather than trying to stuff him into some cage while waiting for pickup. We also appreciated there being a couple reserved parking spots directly in front of the doors. Jackson came home smelling good and feeling soft. Desiree said she had a trained groomer who knew how to do a field cut and would meet and consult with us when we arrived. And he did! Dalton was patient and personable. Our Original Vet has closed down in town and the new Vet won't see us unless it's an emergency due to the COVID-19... Our Vets office usually will clip our dogs nails and drain their anal glands.. Well, needless to say they haven't been able to receive and upkeep since their last appointment which was in the beginning of February... I called every groomer , Mobile groomer from here in town all the way to Palm Desert, and either no answer, they do not no longer exist or they are booked up and no longer available for new clients... Until I received a referral from another groomer that called me back and gave me their information.. I called them immediately, they actually answered the phone within the 3rd or 4th ring... WOW VERY EPIC..!! So, we scheduled and appointment it was about a week from when I spoke to them .. They arrived on time, for our 8am appointment, I was the one who was late that morning.. They didn't rush me or act pushy or anything, mom moms dog is pretty laidback and calm.. My dog on the other hand is a brat, he was fighting from the moment he saw them .. My chillwennie is a bitter and snapper ... Oh yeah he was doing that to them all the way .. I told them it's fine to muzzle him .. They finished both dogs within less then two hours, they did a awesome job, Amazing..! They've been able to clip my moms dogs nails even shorter then the vets have ever had done.. They pampered our Fur Babies like a day at the spa .. We found our new regular, no more trips to the vet for them to over charge us, and give us less then above standard service to our fur babies... I recommend Red Rover to everyone..!!! They do very good work ..!! We will see them in September for our dogs routine service.. You both Rock ..!! This groomer is absolutely awful! We recently adopted a rescue, a three year-old Yorkie/terrier mix that was found wandering the streets, a little guy only about 10 pounds. When we picked him up from the rescue, he was beautifully groomed and looked as cute as can be. Here we are two months later and his hair had gotten long and he was starting to look scraggly. Since we were still getting to know him and didn't know how he would react to a grooming situation, we decided to use a mobile groomer. We thought with the mobile groomer, they would come to the house and if there were any issues we would be here. The owner of this business, Scott, assured us that he was very experienced and specialized in rescues and knew how to handle them especially dogs that might be potentially scared or skittish about getting groomed. Just setting up the initial appointment with him was difficult. He kept telling us he would send us dates and times for appointment choices and I had to keep messaging him multiple times before we finally got an appointment set up. When he came to our house, he met our dog and felt he was pretty calm and he didn't think he would have any issues grooming him. I also showed him a picture of our dog from when we first picked him up and told him we wanted him to be groomed in the same way as the picture. He told me he wasn't sure he could groom him the exact same way as in the picture, but he would do his best. That struck me as odd and I told him so and he said that people always want him to groom their dogs based off of a picture. I reminded him that was our dog in the picture and that he had been previously groomed that way, so that shouldn't be an issue. He said OK and took our dog out to his mobile unit to groom him. He knocked on our door barely 20 minutes later telling us our dog was done. When I looked at our dog, I told him it didn't look like he had done hardly any grooming. He proceeded to tell me that he just did a little trimming and that we shouldn't groom him too short because that would interfere with the natural growth of his hair. He also said that the areas where he was scraggly needed to grow longer because they were uneven and the only way he could fix them was if the hair was longer. That struck me as a very odd thing to say because when a person has long, uneven hair a hairdresser will cut the hair extra short so it grows in correctly. So leaving it long was a strange thing to do. In any event, he left and when my partner got home later that day, he was shocked to see that our dog looked like he had hardly been groomed at all. We contacted Scott and asked him if he would come back and groom him more. He seemed very bothered by our request but agreed to come back and do more. After agreeing to come back and groom him again he was sending us multiple text messages implying that he knew how to do dog grooming and that we didn't have the right expectations. He also he made several calls to me to overexplain why the grooming he did should be fine, but again, he agreed to come back. We already knew that after he would come back to re-groom him we were not going to ever use him again but since we had already paid him $120, we wanted our money's worth. He was truly exhausting to deal with but he did set up another appointment for us and on the day and the time he was supposed to be at our place, he contacted us to say he was not going to be coming and that his shoulder was bothering him. He offered no other day or time alternatives to come back. It was at that point we had enough and we told him that he's making this way harder than it needs to be and we would no longer be using his services. To avoid getting 1000 text messages and phone calls from him, we ended up blocking him. I'm very disappointed by this experience being that he did have so many very good reviews on Yelp, but I honestly don't know how he has that many good reviews given our experience. In any event, you're at your own risk if you use him.
