    My dog that looks scalped
    Barbara V.

My dogs have NEVER looked so bad.... They look like wet rats now... uneven hair everywhere. My one dog's face is TOTALLY UNEVEN! Unreal, the reviews have to be fake. Not to mention....They charged $150 per dog! Most I've ever spent especially for such a horrible job. I don't think these people are real groomers.

Amazing job!!! Nancy is so patient with my dog. Will continue to get him groomed here.

Our new Pom looks fabulous after a visit to Ciya!

Called Ciya today. Glad I did. Great Grooming experience. She brought us in at the appointment time and was ready to work on our 2 dogs. It's a very calm place she works on the dogs by appointment so there are not a bunch of dogs barking and agitating my dogs. This is the calmest and least stressed my dogs have ever been upon leaving a groomer. The grooming job was good. Careful and did not cut our dogs skin who has alot of raised moles. She checked the ears, brushed the teeth, Dremel tool on the nails. All the extras included and took the time to let us review the dogs upon pickup. At pickup she made suggestions and asked if we wanted a shorter beard and we agreed. She performed the additionional trimming. It was a very personalized and thorough grooming. I am used to getting rushed out and the groomer complaining about everything. Ciya was professional and I will be booking a monthly grooming here. You should too.

Highly Recommend Nancy at CIYA, I bought my elderley female cat SOXIE in for a quite difficult nail trim , her claw was firmly embedded into her paw pad and she can be a bit feisty , Nancy coaxed her with raw dehydated meat treats from Canada , she spent at least 30-45 min cleaning her paws and removing the problem , filing the nails and then charged me $15 , I gave a big tip and a hug .Thankyou Nancy . Shop is calming and clean . I will be returning once a month

Can't get over how cute my dogs new haircut is! I have been to so many different groomers and finally have found such a skillful and true pro. Nancy is so sweet, gentle and detailed. Nice, brand new and clean place. Definitely will be back and grateful for our new dog groomer.

Nancy always does a great job on my kitten, she is patient and nice. She does grooming like how it should be done

She was a bit overgrown as her last groomer broke her arm. I contacted Veronica about the groom looking messy and overgrown after 2 weeks and requested the cut shorter. She shared my concern with her groomer making me look bad. Then she contacted me today about canceling my next appointment next week because she had another client who wanted that time slot. I confirmed I wanted the groom and asked again for a shorter "puppy" cut. She called me and declined service claiming it's not healthy for the dogs coat or skin and refused to cut any shorter. I explained I've been grooming my dogs for 18+ years and I know what is good for my dog. I didn't appreciate being schooled or scolded by this rude, condescending person. She then Canceled my appointment despite my advising I would leave a review about my experience on YELP. Also please note that the mobile grooming van is shabby, old and decrepit. I noticed many negative reviews about Veronica. She is NOT LICENSED and not kind at all. Very disrespectful, nasty girl. AVOID THIS GROOMER AT ALL COSTS!!!

I called barking lot and asked if they had any appointments available. They gave me Joey's INFORMATION one of the Groomers at Barking Lot who made the time & was able to fit my neighbors dog. This was her first visit to the Groomers. I was pretty nervous about how Chanel, that's the dog's name would react to her first Groomers visit. Well, I'm glad to say that Joey was amazing with her. He did such a great job! I was so happy with how Chanel looked ... that a few weeks later I brought my 4 1/2 year-old Chihuahua Pomeranian, also known as a Pomchi. I called Joey to see if he had any thing available for the Fourth of July weekend. He was wonderful. He was able to squeeze My Mini-me first thing in the morning on the Fourth of July. Thank you so much Joey for being so accommodating but more importantly for making my Mini-Me look fabulous! If you're looking for a local groomer where your dog will be treated like a princess like mine was, I would definitely recommend this place! Mini-me is definitely happier. As it our first time finding a new groomer here, we found this place. Spoke with someone regarding booking and it was quite easy. They were able to get in us first thing in the morning at 9. When we got there, a little earlier there was also someone waiting with their little ones. Once we checked in, the gentlemen behind the register was the sweetest. The warm greeting and the usual detail exchanged made the process very easy. Jose was the groomer, believe that was his name. The sweetest and welcoming. The usual chit chat on what we wanted and that was that. The place looked well kept and clean. I believe you're also able to bring your pup in for a bathing as well. The quick introduction, instructions and explanation and we were on our way. It's located in a strip mall off the main strip so you could also get all your errands done. Of course some things were done while we waited. It was about an hour and half till it was time for pick up. They do text/call to let you know. The place was great and the staffs were all very friendly and professional. We did feel welcome which is alway a plus everywhere. Pricewise was good. I believe it's based on size and what services maybe needed. Obviously if certain things is needed, then additional fee is added on. Jose was a doll and very sweet. Took very good care of our little one. Seemed like we may have found something new here.

It saddens me to be leaving this review, but it's important for others to know about the accident…read morethat occurred with our French Bulldog. Our frenchie, Spade, has been going to this groomer for a few years and our family (including Spade) loved it. We loved the environment and the owner who is amazing. The environment of this shop is unique and laid back. At any time, dogs are roaming around the business waiting to be serviced or picked up. Usually when picking up, we'd find Spade hanging with a staff member or roaming around with other dogs. Unfortunately, during a visit in September, we had a very different experience. We dropped Spade off for a 9am appointment. At 12pm, we received a text that he was ready for pick up. I arrived at the shop at 12:30pm. I was told Spade was in the back and waited for him to be brought out. It took about 5 minutes for him to be brought to the front, which was very abnormal. Even more abnormal, the noise and panting Spade was experiencing. It was not an average pant, which is normal when he's playing or energized. It was the most awful noise that bordered a choking sound. I paid and was offered water for him that I declined. We drove off, but the noise persisted. I started to panic a bit and decided turn around for the water that was offered. I went back to the shop and asked for the water. At this point, Spade was deeply distressed. He was making that panting/choking noise, laying than standing, switching body positions. He wasn't drinking any water at first. An employee helped me hold his head and force him to drink. The employee also put water on his body. Another employee put lavender oil on his paws and claimed that help cool down. Spade and I stayed there for maybe 10 minutes hoping he'd calm a bit. Unfortunately, it did not help. While there, the owner, Andrea let me know that Spade had been waiting in a kennel/crate. Anyone who works with French bulldogs knows how they can easily overheat, especially when in small spaces with no AC, and have difficulty breathing in general. She kept telling me that a newer employee (I assume she was new because I'd never seen her) put him there and she has been told not to do that. Unfortunately, it was a bit too late for that. After learning this, I decided to take Spade to the emergency room. In the ER, He was immediately rushed back and given life saving care. He spent 4 hours in the emergency room and we were left with about a $2000 bill. Obviously we'd pay anything to get him care, but that is large amount of money for us. We were told that he was overheating. His constant breathing caused his throat to be inflamed, which makes breathing more difficult. If I waited any longer to go tot he ER, we may have had a much different ending. This event traumatized not only our family, but our Spadey. His personality for a few days after was very sad and he chose to isolate for a bit. We've emailed the business to seek compensation for his emergency care. After no response, my husband stopped by to speak with the owner to seek compensation. At this time, we have not received a response. We wish this business success, but do recommend they take better precautions and care of the animals: more organization, better training on specific breeds, providing better AC, bigger crates/cages if using them, quicker servicing and notification system for owner/parents, veterinary care on staff. For owners, we highly recommend staying near by while your dog is being serviced and picking them up right when they are done. We, however, would never trust our Spade going back.
