We explained that employees had given us a specific amount to pay, but instead of calmly listening and trying to resolve the misunderstanding, Melissa repeatedly went back and forth with us and said she had reviewed the camera footage. The conversation felt unnecessarily confrontational, and we did not feel that our concerns were being taken seriously. What concerns me most is that this behavior came from the manager. Management sets the tone for customer service and the overall environment of a business. If this is how customers are treated when there is a disagreement, it raises serious concerns about the kind of atmosphere being created for both customers and staff. A manager should know how to de-escalate a situation, communicate respectfully, and work toward a solution. Unfortunately, that was not our experience with Melissa, and because of the way this was handled, I would be very hesitant to return or recommend Rough Life Grooming to others. You called and texted me numerous times after I hung up on you and you continue to harass me even on here. Seems like your ego is more important than good customer service. I will make sure to tell others not to go to your shop. Furthermore, please do not contact me again by phone, text, or any other method. I have already blocked your number, and your continued attempts to contact me are unwanted. I am documenting all calls, messages, and communications. If the unwanted contact continues, I will consider reporting the matter to Yelp, the appropriate California consumer-protection authorities, and law enforcement if warranted, and I will consider any other legal remedies available to me. In La Quinta, it is hard to find great people, Annie is great people!! My Daisy is a senior with arthritis problems, she is a big 75 lb. girl, and can't stand up or sit for very long. She was a bit overgrown as her last groomer broke her arm. I contacted Veronica about the groom looking messy and overgrown after 2 weeks and requested the cut shorter. She shared my concern with her groomer making me look bad. Then she contacted me today about canceling my next appointment next week because she had another client who wanted that time slot. I confirmed I wanted the groom and asked again for a shorter "puppy" cut. She called me and declined service claiming it's not healthy for the dogs coat or skin and refused to cut any shorter. I explained I've been grooming my dogs for 18+ years and I know what is good for my dog. I didn't appreciate being schooled or scolded by this rude, condescending person. She then Canceled my appointment despite my advising I would leave a review about my experience on YELP. Also please note that the mobile grooming van is shabby, old and decrepit. I noticed many negative reviews about Veronica. She is NOT LICENSED and not kind at all. Very disrespectful, nasty girl. AVOID THIS GROOMER AT ALL COSTS!!!
