I'm extremely disappointed with my experience with Melissa, the manager at Rough Life Grooming. The way she spoke to and argued with my mother was rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. We explained that employees had given us a specific amount to pay, but instead of calmly listening and trying to resolve the misunderstanding, Melissa repeatedly went back and forth with us and said she had reviewed the camera footage. The conversation felt unnecessarily confrontational, and we did not feel that our concerns were being taken seriously. What concerns me most is that this behavior came from the manager. Management sets the tone for customer service and the overall environment of a business. If this is how customers are treated when there is a disagreement, it raises serious concerns about the kind of atmosphere being created for both customers and staff. A manager should know how to de-escalate a situation, communicate respectfully, and work toward a solution. Unfortunately, that was not our experience with Melissa, and because of the way this was handled, I would be very hesitant to return or recommend Rough Life Grooming to others. You called and texted me numerous times after I hung up on you and you continue to harass me even on here. Seems like your ego is more important than good customer service. I will make sure to tell others not to go to your shop. Furthermore, please do not contact me again by phone, text, or any other method. I have already blocked your number, and your continued attempts to contact me are unwanted. I am documenting all calls, messages, and communications. If the unwanted contact continues, I will consider reporting the matter to Yelp, the appropriate California consumer-protection authorities, and law enforcement if warranted, and I will consider any other legal remedies available to me. Please respect my request and do not contact me again. read more

They do a Lovely grooming on my 9mth old dog HOWEVER I Don't appreciate their attitude towards me as a client. I'm a Health care professional and a pet owner All of my adult life. I Did Not Appreciate a "Late Charge" added to my bill Because I was 12min late for my dog grooming appointment due to a traffic situation! Please! When I came it I was told "That was the owner's decision" and I should have Text them I was going to be Late! Seriously!!!! I'm driving!!!! When I Calmly responded "really" I was chastised for even questioning! I left my dog graciously, as I was a Returning Customer, and life is to short to argue over 10$ BUT I found the person who was grooming my dog very defensive and I just thought "okay" However, I was behind someone who just checked in 2 dogs Right in fruit me! Was She charged??? I'm Sorry !!! But, it was More Then Obvious, that the Staff was Totally Under control of this "rule" that I was Totally unaware of!! It's too bad!!! Taking your dog to get groomed Should Not be such an Uptight situation!!! I RESPECT time But to be so Rude to a client if their Excuse Me 12 min (actually) late and Charge them'! Well, That's Just Beneath what I expect from a Professional Pet Grooming Service! Obviously, the person we corresponded to, didn't care!!!! Too Bad, Not coming back Even though they did a Good Job! ATTITUDE MATERS!!!! read more

I have been bringing my baby Koda since Melissa opened Ruff Life. I can't believe it's taken me this long to write a review! Melissa and her staff are super professional, kind, understanding and so flexible. The salon is always clean and organized! I have a lot of friends who have little fur babies, and they have shared with me how much they pay for their little babies to get groomed and I will tell you that Melissa's prices are hands down the best! So if you're looking for someone who seeks to understand the importance of you dropping off your fur baby to be cared for, professionalism, kindness & affordability look no further!! read more

My Daisy is a very anxious, fearful but docile dog. Melissa was great with her - she came out to meet us in their cute lobby - got to know Daisy a bit and then took her to do her nails, gland and a free toothbrushing which was very nice. Afterward Melissa gave me instructions on how to brush her teeth and was super sweet. I appreciate the TLC she gave Daisy! read more

I took my two dogs a Boston & a Frenchie. By their breeds you would think they are easy to work with. NOT THESE GUYS! I can write an essay of what the standard viewing of their breeds vs Opie & Bronson (my pups) but we won't go there. I love them so it was heartbreaking when Groomers didn't want to work with them after they did their usual tag teaming. After checking most professionals off my list I took them to Melissa. She did such a swell job they didn't even take it out on me when I picked them up! They now greet her with joy & my heart doesn't twitch from distress. To most our pets are more than family so I had to write a review to the people that care deeply for my family. Thank you RLG! read more
