My pup loves the place. She gets so excited when we are driving there and always comes home exhausted from the excitement

We are regulars at The Grand Paw....so happy this place exists! Our dog attends day care weekly and we use them for boarding at least 20 nights a year. When I arrive in the parking lot to drop our golden doodle off she can't wait to get in the building to see all her friends! At night she doesn't want to leave! Keep it up! read more

Owners are not sorry. Never advised me on the crating at 4 or else I would've never been "late". I was under the impression the day care was until 4 or whatever time it was, I wasn't aware they crate the dogs, obviously. Then they cut me off from coming back because of the poor review lol. Be petty, you guys are in the wrong here not me, stop making excuses that it had to do with the vaccines or not being there for over a year. Then you guys raised your price to $40. Your facility looks like an animal shelter. No way I would ever advise anyone to leave their dogs overnight with you. You don't want me to call you, you didn't even have the guts to call me. You want me to call you? You never apologized or anything. Stop pretending like you care you don't. 5 star reviews seem fake stay away from this place. Enjoy my 1 star its staying. Bye! read more

I brought my dog and cat in for a 4 day stay. My dog is 10 years old and the sweetest dog on the planet. He has been to dog parks, other boarding facilities, around kids, strangers and has NEVER SNIPPED OR BIT anybody. On Friday the 19th I get a call from a woman at the kennel she states and I quote "your dog bit one of our technicians on the face and hand and punctured the skin, Louie is deemed unsociable and will have to be kept locked up and never allowed to come back" OH and I forgot she said it would cost an additional $10 a day. WHAT A BUNCH OF SHIT!!!!!!!!!!!! My dog would only bit if he was being abused. Look at his eye the white had trauma and I call my vet and they say that could only happen if there was trauma to the face. My assistant picked my dog up a day and a half early because we were fearful for my dogs well being. The manager took NOOOO responsibility. This boarding facility is the WORST............... I would never take my loved ones here again and I would strongly suggest you think otherwise also. VCA Animal Hospital has very nice facilities and they don't treat their animals like SHIT, going back there next time just need to book further in advance. I used your facility once two years ago and I was not charged a "prime season" charge like this time Bentley whined the whole time on the drive home and for a good fifteen minutes when we got home. He has never, ever done this and when I picked him up he didn't even greet me and made a beeline for the car to leave your place as quickly as possible. That's probably why he jumped right in my car If you had cameras on the boarded dogs where people could actually see I would give you the benefit of the doubt. Webcams are good too and if you had video for the dog area we could look over it I spent over $500 dollars to board my dog for a week and got back a traumatized and very ill dog. It will be about year we've been taking our 65lbs 3yr old lab mix to the Grand Paw. First, I have much appreciation for the staff here. They seem to work hard & always have a smile on their face. It can't be easy dealing with dozens of dogs with a multitude of personalities & behaviors. The assessment process was easy & painless. After seeing our pup & establishing he was a good fit, we were able to start bringing him for daycare immediately. Even after the assessment, the staff still evaluated. Allowing the staff to see some behaviors that needed to be corrected, voicing this to me & their plan going forward. I 100% agreed with their evaluations & corrections. My dog is better for it & I think enjoys daycare that much more. Front desk has always taken the time arranging boarding, grooming, or payments, even when extremely busy. My advice, call after 9am & before 4pm. Front desk hopefully won't be so busy with intake & pickup by then. Their facility is clean & organized. Remember, very furry, slobbery dogs walk through there constantly. We have one dog & still feel the need to vacuum once a day. Only once have we got the wrong leash back, but got the right dog, so that's a plus. Pupper has come home with some minimal scratches & missing hair, but nothing to be too concerned over. I keep in mind dogs play with their paws & mouths. I know if there was any instance that resulted in serious injury, Grand Paw would alert me, as I would feel no issue alerting them. We've only had one issue with grooming, they forgot to. No big deal. Staff was quick to rectify & super apologetic. We have a short haired lab, not much styling to do. He came home clean, nails trimmed, & smelled nice, no complaints. The price may seem steep to some. Remember, you get what you pay for. This place is a perfect location for us, open/close times are good (wish they opened a bit earlier & stayed open a bit later), staff is great, accommodations are above bar & they seem to genuinely like our dog (who can be annoying). Can't wait to see how the next year goes, maybe he'll finally get into the pool. read more

I've been taking my dogs to The Grand Paw for 2 years and on average 5+ days a week. They have boarded numerous times from one night up to 10 nights. The staff is always so happy to see the pups and care about my dogs like they are their own. Every morning after the dogs eat breakfast, they sit by back door and wait to do to daycare. This was Merlin's first stay at The Grand Paw and we will certainly be coming back! My pup stayed for just over two days and also had a bath and tidy for when I picked him up. The facility was super cute and clean and all of the staff were beyond friendly and helpful! I called to make sure Merlin was doing ok and was treated to immediate updates. I really get the sense that they know what they're doing and really care about the health, care and safety of their dogs. My dog stood at the Grand Paw Sunday June 13th and we picked him up June 16th... he seemed not himself, but we expected that having it being his first time ever away from us, but when we got home we noticed an open sore on the side of his mouth and on his snout, we took him to the vet the next day, he had gotten a bacterial infection, not sure exactly how he developed it but they assume dirty bowls or something else that might of been in the kennel... 170 dollars later my boy felt much better, with antibiotics and a cream! read more

Nice place , we did our tour today to check out this place for our dog to be drop off for boarding . ***I would recommend to the owner Jennifer to have some soft music for the dogs in the sleeping and boarding area ***. It would relax the animals. I notice that the feeding bowls where still left out with food still in bowls . With out dog in room . How long does that food sit there? After waiting for over a week for an appointment, we today took our 6 month old puppy to get his first haircut. We were turned away because we did not have "recommended" shots of Canine Influenza and Bordatella - all other puppy shots and rabies shots have been given. We were extremely upset and embarrassed as no less than 4 employees chattered about our records. We called the vet to confirm and he acknowledged that he does not personally feel that young dogs require so many shots all at once. We were furious. They didn't even ask if our dog was an outside animal, which he isn't, nor did they ask if our dog is around other animals, which he isn't. We will not be going back to the Grand Paw, so called luxury services. read more

It's not cheap, but I felt comfortable leaving my dog here when we took a short trip. When we dropped her off, they took careful notes on how to feed her according to her usual routine. We watched her join the other dogs in the play area before we left. Ours is a shy pup, so she was overwhelmed when every other dog came to greet her. An employee scooped her up and gave her a little attention away from the crowd. That made me feel better about leaving her there. When we picked her up, she seemed in good spirits. They make notes about the dog's behavior during the stay, and they let you know if there were any issues. We opted to just have her stay there and not be groomed so that the first time there was all positive (our dog HATES baths), but next time we might opt for grooming as well. This is a fantastic boarding and care facility for pets in Coachella. Two months ago I needed a place to board my two cats while I left town on an unexpected trip. I didn't know any drop-in caregivers since I am so new to this area, so I did some research, found The Grand Paw, and saw all of the rave reviews. They have a lovely facility that looks more like a private residence, and they have full services for dogs, including daycare, boarding, etc. They also board cats. Their staff are extremely thoughtful and took great care of my cats, making sure they were fed, given plenty of water, and even groomed. It is the most warm and welcoming place and I can see why so many pet owners use them. I was so pleased that I ended up boarding my cats there a second time in June. Great service for those of us whose pets are our family, because The Grand Paw treats them with that same level of loving care. read more

I took my Pomeranian there for 11 years. I was very satisfied. A month ago when I picked my dog up they had cut her down into her undercoat, she had razor burns on the back of her legs, near her private parts, she had big clumps of fur sticking out here and there. She was shaking so much. Someone with very little experience and no knowledge of Pomeranian grooming had done her. Basically, she will never ever look the same and is horrified to go to the door. read more

We drove from the Boston area to our place in Bermuda Dunes with our new puppy Tink. We iooked for a place to send her for day and possibly an overnight or two. Grand Paws was recommended to us and we could not have been more pleased. The facility is bright and clean. The staff is outstanding. Always there to great you on arrival. There a groomer on site. Tink was in heaven . We started out with doggie day care to see if Tink was happy hoping to work up to an overnight stay. It didn't take long. When we would arrive she practically pulled me into the lobby area. When I would pick her up I could tell she had a full day. She be sleeping before I got out of the parking lot. A great place.
