His selection was amazing, as was his knowledge. The drinks were unbelievable. Ended up buying many birthday and Christmas gifts.

A local gem in Washington offering moonshine tastings & unique craft drinks. No food, so a good before or after dinner spot.

You can also have unlimited samples of the various rum that they have for sale. I love that they have local craft beer on tap. This time I noticed Old Thunder, Eleventh Hour, Monday's brewing, Hitchhiker and Cinderlands. They offered some excellent mocktails including a Sweet Tart Swizzle with Lime juice, pomegranate juice, grapefruit juice, Zombie juice blend, cinnamon syrup, chocolate and rhubarb bitters. There is plenty of seating. We went on a Friday and it wasn't overly crowded. I also love that there is always parking in the lot.

The food was decent, but honestly, I was hoping for a bit more. The biggest letdown, though, was the service. Our server was super sweet, so it wasn't her fault at all--it just felt like they were either understaffed or the staff wasn't allocated efficiently. There were two bartenders and three other staff members who seemed to be handling seating and samples, along with a runner for food and drinks. Unfortunately, we waited over 25 minutes for a drink, and others who arrived after us were served first. It definitely put a damper on the visit. If I go back, I'll probably stick to just drinks and maybe a couple of apps--but honestly, I think I'll continue going to the original Strip District spot where the energy, service, and overall experience feel more dialed in. I really don't love leaving subpar reviews, but felt it was worth sharing in case others have a similar experience.
