Went here the other night with my husband. We were really in the mood for seafood. Husband had the tuna steak and I ordered a shrimp and risotto special. The food was wonderful. His tuna steak was cooked beautifully and my plate was so delicious I cleaned it completely. There was nothing left when I was done. Also, I have a health condition that prohibits me from eating anything with too much oil. Despite that, I didn't realize that the dish that I ordered had a tempura component. When it came I asked the server if it's at all possible to switch out the tempura asparagus. This is after it had already been made and served. She said no problem, took away the fried stuff and brought me back a plate of steamed asparagus at no extra charge. I was really really grateful. The atmosphere was beautiful, it's a gorgeous restaurant, and everything was very reasonably priced. I loved everything about this restaurant and definitely plan to come back. read more

Today we visited this place my mom my sister Theresa and me. All of our meals were spectacular. Great conversation with my mom and my sister. The restrooms were exceptionally clean. The waitress couldn't be any nicer she was beautiful young and just very very friendly and nice. I got the lobster tail sweet potato mash and spinach, nothing could've been any better. Eat here often. My fav is the bang bang shrimp!! Love the mussels too. I've tried several different entrees and they have all been good. The service is good and if you do not like something they will prepare you something else without a problem. I love how the manager walks around to find out how the guest are enjoying their food. Great service, a very friendly staff. Food is probably one of the best bangs for the buck in the area. Portions are large and tastes great! I had the filet mignon and crab cake (I've been on a filet run lately) and my medium rare was cooked to perfection. It came with some optional sauces, but I'm glad I opted it for the side. I love my steak as is and didn't care too much for the mushroom sauce. The crab cake was also meaty and delicious. The bang bang shrimp is their signature appetizer, and for good reason. It tastes fresh and the shrimp is also cooked perfectly. If you only get one appetizer, I highly recommend the bang bang shrimp. We also got the tuna and calamari appetizer (I know, we are appetizer fiends), and both were done right. Their starter bread is warm and chewy, just the way I like it. Pretty big venue, with a variety of seating. I'm a fan of Bonefish Grill but my experience at this location wasn't the best. The bang bang shrimp as an appetizer ( or meal or dessert, just order it you won't regret it) was delicious. So savory, I'm drooling. I ordered the salmon, and it wasn't cooked all the way or even halfway. I'm a huge fan of sushi so i thoroughly enjoy raw fish but not when I order it expecting it to be cooked. I don't mind my salmon being a little undercooked in the center, but this was literally raw all over. It was as if they quick flipped it on a warm pan around all the edges of the outside and flopped it back onto the plank on a plate. Very unappetizing. Dessert kinda made up for the main course. Creme brule was absolute perfection. Top solid layer of crispy crunch and cool cream underneath. I love Bonefish, don't get me wrong. But let your servers know you want your meal fully cooked and not still breathing from the ocean. read more

Went at 6:30 on a Saturday night. Thankfully we had reservation. Up front staff were unfriendly and very confused . We waited 15 minutes past before being seated. Place was overrun by clients who used walkers etc Though I was in a rehab facility. Took forever to get anyone to even take a drink order. Eventually we were served by a somewhat overwhelmed staff person. In the end we were served our entrees albeit at a very slow pace. My wife's seafood dish was not what she ordered but she elected to eat it so as not to hold up the already too long wait. Our friends were too polite to be critical. In the end my assessment was that this place needs to upgrade management. No one ever stopped by to check in on us. No one thanked us on way out. Very clearly they know the place is popular and could care less about attention to individual clients. I will say the food was fine but it goes to show the importance of paying attention to all details for this diner to give you a decent rating. I do not plan on returning to this location. read more

Food was delicious, service was disgusting. I've been at other locations and was extremely disappointed with the service at this location. We made reservations and arrived early so we checked in to be greeted with a melancholy host. We were early and sat at the bar and their knowledge of beverages were poor. I sent back my drink and ordered a different drink. Then they sat us at a booth and the seat was broken, apparently the "screws were loose" since it's apparently a storage bench. Just to be embarrassed and forced to stand at the broke seat table when asking for another seat. Then while we were eating there were flies swarming where we were and swatting flies while we ate. Definitely will not go to this location again. Our food was warm and tasty and waitress was very kind and knowledgeable of the menu and is the only reason I'm giving this 2 stars. Hospitality and customer service can make or break the overall dining experience. I understand places are low on staff, but this was just not ideal or worth the money. read more

I am prefacing this review to inform you that it was for one of their "sips and sampling's" events. This one was called "Sips and Staches". I also want to preface in saying this was my first experience at this particular location. I was incredibly blown away by the service which was so amazing. The waitstaff was so incredibly nice, informative, and patient. Our waitress took our drink orders and told us about the event and told us all about our experience we would we be having. She informed us of our cocktail choices and each time we were about to have a course she informed us and let us know if there was something special about it. They really had an amazing staff. The manager was also friendly and made several stops at our table and the other attendees tables to talk to us and provide us with information. They were all so nice but not overbearing and they didn't come up to us with our mouths stuffed. Overall super attentive and they made the experience all the better! The amount of food was insane. Next time we will have to remember that we can take some home. We thought that since it was an event and a tasting we wouldn't be able to take it home. The stars of the show were the cocktails, he bang bang shrimp, and the crab cakes. The potstickers were also really good. I wasn't too impressed by the cod sliders or the crispy au gratin bites (too oily/crispy). We will definitely be back for one of these events for sure, but it is safe to say that this will be the Bonefish grill we attend and NOT Montgomeryville. Montgomeryville should really take some services lessons from Willow Grove. This place is incredible! read more

Went for the first time and the food was good but the service was terrible. It was a Sunday and by no means crowded. We had reservations and we were seated right away. It was a solid 20-25 minutes before we were even greeted by a server. To the point we almost left but I knew how much my boyfriend loves their fish and chips. Placed our drink orders and our appetizers and dinners since we had plenty of time with the menu. Waitress had to come back twice because the beer we ordered wasn't available. Food was good but not great. Definitely won't be back anytime soon. read more

This review is long, but I so had to write this one. We were very excited to try Bonefish Grill. I was especially excited to see Risotto Del Mar on the menu. I love risotto and seafood! So, of course, I ordered that...I was really anticipating eating it (I am sure you know what I am talking about). My partner ordered a beef burger and we ordered some breaded shrimp. This was all to go. When I opened the ordered, it looked nothing like Risotto. The key ingredient for risotto is rice. I mean, it's called risotto for a reason. Unfortunately, their version of risotto had may be six grains of rice (I looked hard for the grains). So, I kind of assumed that they mixed up the order. I called the restaurant up, and of course, I had to repeat my story to three different people....that was the day they were playing pass the phone game...that or, I am just a good story teller. Oh well, the last person to come on phone was Sean, the manager. He asked me to describe the dish I got. And, then wanted to make sure that I didn't get gnocchi instead. I told him that it was not gnocchi, it was just some kind of melted cheese with oil (it was really that!). He told me that it was risotto and may be it doesn't fit my definition of risotto. I had to tell him the definition of risotto and of course let him know that it fits no one's definition of risotto. At this point, he wanted to show that they believe in customer service, so he tells me that he wants to do something for me and asked me if I eat there regularly. When I told him that it was the first time, he tells me that the next time, I visit Bone Fish, I should let the person taking my order know that Sean told me that they would do something for me! Ha! Wanted to eat somewhere different so a friend and I gather our children and headed for this place. It was mothers day weekend, that was our mistake! It was so crowded we waited thirty minutes for a table, until we sat at the high top tables, we could not wait any longer. Once we sat we were served immediately. Our server Nichole was awesome she explained everything for the kids, and was patient. The food was very tasty. The only downside was we order to meals from the kids menu, and they took an additional 20 minutes to come out. That was our only issue I would definitely recommend this restaurant to others. read more

I was so excited to bring my husband here after such a great experience at a Florida location. Since this was his first time at Bonefish, I was ready for him to be blown away. Except it was quite the opposite. Right from the beginning we had to deal with a hostess that had an unwelcoming attitude like we were bothering him. He was more worried about texting on his phone than making sure our table was ready (we had reservations). Then once we sat down I quickly noticed that all around the restaurant everything looked dirty. The floor was a mess; I can't say how many times employees walked by trash on the floor without picking it up. Soon as I saw how dirty the place was I was turned off and expected everything else to be a fail too. I was right - I opened my silverware and they were DIRTY... my cup of water?! DIRTY! I was so disgusted. I lost my appetite. But since this was his first time I didn't want to cause a scene. I was looking forward to the imperial dip and that was a greasy/oily mess. My salmon was bland, I didn't even touch the asparagus. My sangria tasted like Welch's grape juice (it probably was). I'd say the only good part about our meal was the calamari. The reason I'm giving this 2 stars and not 1 is because our waitress was at least really nice.. it's not her fault she works in an unsanitary environment. Came here for happy hour with my grandmother, we both had a great meal and great drinks! They have good specials on drinks, and a few options for small apps during happy hour! My favorite is the salmon with miso sauce, with their Brussel sprouts & mashed potatoes as the sides! One of the fancier chain restaurants, and one of my favorites that's local. read more

Not my first visit here. I'll say the food and drinks here are great for the most part. Bang Bang shrimp have us sold on this place. The Ahi Tuna Poke Bowl was just okay - better most other places. Heavy on the rice with scant toppings (dried onions, etc). Never had a problem with the food in the past either. Usually pretty good. The pineapple martini was tasty. Bonefish falls short when it comes to the service and condition of the restaurant. While our server was friendly and great, it took far too long for food and drinks to come and then just to receive our check and pay it. The wait to get seated was over an hour and it really seems to be a turnover issue. They could use some help there. The restaurant also seemed to be a bit unclean with the booth dividers falling apart. Our table cloth was dirty under the paper cover. We heard other tables around us looking for the manager because of their dissatisfaction with the service. read more

Our server was training a new server. The new server took over most of the duties and it was a complete disaster. Things were not brought. My salad came with 25% of the lettuce rotten. Asked for new salad the next salad was also rotten. Items ordered never showed up. Things requested didn't come to the table. Miserable experience. And this was another poor experience in a completely different location. The salmon was just okay but not even as good as the salmon I grill on my own Backyard BBQ. Always a good place to visit. However the wait is long if you don't make a reservation. If you do make a reservation, there's still a bit of a wait. My husband and I just decided to scope out the bar to eat here. That's the best way to eat here for us (same with the Cheesecake Factory). Do you want to hear a fish story? Well come along with me and I will tell you all about it. The oddly named Bonefish Grill is an upscale chain that specializes in fresh seafood. The fish is bought whole and cut as needed. The varieties are vast and range from Chilean Sea Bass, Ahi Tuna, Gulf Grouper, Snake River Rainbow Trout, Longfin Tilapia, Atlantic Salmon to freshly seared Sea Scallops & Shrimp and cold water Lobster Tails. The fresh fish is wood grilled. This particular Bonefish Grill is located in a strip mall. You have two choices for entry. Either pull on the wooden door or take a ride through the smoked glass revolving doors. Once inside there are two rooms, side by side that greet you and are semi open to each other with heavy metal plants. We were seated in a very large booth, which is the majority of the seating arrangements offered, on the right or the Bar side. The restaurant is immaculate. We could see into the kitchen and everything shined. Not one speck on the floors or under the counter spaces. The Restaurant itself has a lot of wood, including dark wood floors that are heavily glossed with shellac. The Bar is as long as the room and has another row of long tables with stools for lounging. Nothing decor wise is tacky about this restaurant. Let's go back to the Bar and side work. The Bar has a wine "cellar" like none other I have seen. The Wines are all stored on wooden shelves above the Bar. The bartender decided to rearrange, restock and dust all of the bottles and wood. To do this she climbed up on the high counters and clanged and banged bottles for our entertainment? Bonefish, have your employees come in early or stay late to do this, it was very distracting. Scott was our very knowledgeable and personable server. They specialize in Martinis and Cocktails along with a nice selection of Wine. I tried and absolutely loved a Perfect Patron Margarita straight up with salt. I sipped it, but it was good enough to have gone down quickly had I so desired. It consisted of Patron Silver Tequila, Citronge, lemon and lime juice. Hubby does not drink and enjoyed numerous free refills on the coke. For our appetizers we we so torn and therefore another reason to go back. We decided to share the infamous Bang Bang Shrimp, the Crab Cakes with a very spicy remoulade and the Saucy Shrimp, which was at least two dozen shrimps sauteed in a lime sun dried tomato garlic sauce with Kalamata olives and feta cheese. The Crab Cakes were okay, a lot of breading and filler crab meat with some lump. I would not order them again. The Saucy Shrimp was good and the sauce made it. The Bang Bang Shrimp needs to be patented, if it has not been already! Talk about punch, I almost needed another margarita. Between cocktails and appetizers they bring a basket of in house baked bread that is served warm with a dish of infused olive oil. This olive oil has Kalamata olives, fresh garlic and herbs. I had the best salad of my life here. The salads are served on chilled plates, which is a huge plus. I chose the Bonefish Salad which was a wonderful mix of greens, none bitter, hearts of palm, Kalamata olives, ripe tomatoes and ROASTED Pine nuts. The dressing was a citrus herb vinaigrette and all topped with your choice of feta or Danish Bleu. I really do not think I will ever have a salad again without roasted pine nuts. I keep them in my freezer and I think I need to pop those babies in the oven to warm them up ;+} All of the wood grilled fish is served with your choice of four different sauces. In addition to the fish, they have a nice variety of Steaks and Chops or you could choose from Pasta or Chicken entrees. Hubby had a nice sized Filet Mignon cooked rare with a Gorgonzola butter melting through. He opted for french fries, which he got when he was almost finished with the steak. French fries for dessert is cool. I chose one of their daily specials, which was a huge piece of Wild Caught Haddock with feta and artichokes. It was garlic and crumb crusted and served with a lemon basil sauce.. Cooked perfectly and the best piece of Haddock I have ever experienced. Both of our meals came with their daily vegetable and today it was succotash and it was like no succotash I have ever had before. Baby Lima beans with roasted red peppers and crisp corn. They can keep the garlic mashed potatoes. I am not sure if it was an off night for the potato man, but they were like glue. no fluff to these babies. Okay, the Restrooms. I never understood why people include this in their review, unless it is gross and then you should not be there. The restrooms were very clean and served their purpose. For dessert they offer a Macadamia Nut Brownie, Key Lime Pie or Creme Brulee. This upscale chain was started by two Culinary Chefs and veteran restaurateurs from NYC. I went with 2 other individuals last night for a late dinner. We showed up at 8 pm and had to wait a little bit, the place was packed. I guess no one wants to cook on a Monday night in Horsham. We were seated and our waitress was pretty attentive to introduce herself and the trainee at her hip. Our group had never been to Bonefish Grill before and because the waitress had her trainee she took the time to go ALL THE WAY through the menu. Which was okay but crap it took a looooong time! We order an appetizer of the Mussels Josephine and it was pretty damn good. They also start you off with warm bread and pesto mixed with olive oil. I highly recommend using the bread to soak up the lemon wine sauce. We split this between 3 people but could easily be an entire meal for one person. This is where the rest of the evening started to take a not so pleasant turn. The trainee showed up to tell us that our waitress was sitting down to try some entrees and she would be our server going forward. She showed up at 8:45 pm and then finally checked in again with us at 9:10 pm to give us our meal. Keeping in mind we had ordered about 8:30 pm. I know they have fresh fish but it should not have taken over 50 minutes to cook our meal. I had tilapia, my friend had the sea bass and the other had rib-eye. Again, cook times don't add up. There was even a two top table right next to us that sat down after us and got there appetizers, soups and entrees all before we got our meal. And in that time our trainee/waitress was too busy trying to clean up or shut down the dining area that she hardly paid attention to us. I am a big stickler for good service and I would think if she was just starting she would have been much more attentive. Obviously, that is what I get for thinking! I didn't even finish my meal as I was pretty full from the appetizer and waiting so long for the meal kinda killed any amount of hunger left. I was also disappointed because I asked for the mango salsa on the side and here it comes smothering the fish. The side of steamed veggies was good with some nice seasoning added in. My friend wanted to order dessert so he got the Walnut Brownie, which was also very good. The only thing I didn't like was the walnuts were very salty and were not mixing well with the taste of the chocolate and raspberry glaze it was served on. All in all, the food was good but I was very disappointed by the service. We went here to get a good meal that shouldn't have taken very long and were there almost 2 hours! Disclaimer: I am not a Seafood guy at all. I may have a seafood meal 4 times a year. Date night with my lady at Bonefish Grill. I told her I will eat steak. I took a look at the menu and placed my order. Ahi Tuna steak with Mango Salsa with a side of Jasmine Rice and Potatoes Au Gratin. This meal had the perfect portion of everything the Tuna steak (6oz) was medium well, it was juicy and the mango salsa was a mouthful of flavor. The Jasmine rice was amazing as well and compliments the tuna steak. Potatoes Au gratin was random because I am not a cooked vegetable guy. The meal is well worth it. I recommend the dish I had and oh the bang bang shrimp is amazing my advice please share. I'm allergic to shrimp but I saw lots of people enjoying it. I would recommend this restaurant for a dark welcome setting and the servers staff who are amazing and very friendly. read more

Three words: Bang Bang Shrimp. If that was the only thing on the menu, I'd still love Bonefish Grill. Two protips: One, go on Wednesdays. They have Bang Bang Shrimp for $5. Just order the shrimp and drinks, entrees are for losers. Two, if there's a wait, don't be a derp and stand in the lobby for an hour. Make a reservation. Not in advance (though you could do that too if you, you know, plan stuff. But who does that?), if you walk through the door and they tell you there's an hour wait just make a reservation. The next available reservation is almost always sooner than the wait. You might not understand what I'm saying, so here's what I do: Walk in. Get told there's an hour wait. Ask for the soonest reservation. It's in a half hour. Drive down the street to Miller's Ale House. Drink. Get back in the car, drive back to Bonefish, sit down, eat. Mission accomplished. read more

Bone is is one of our favorite places to eat!! The service is always good and the food is great. My biggest complaint is that the food comes out too fast. You need to tell them that you're not in a hurry we're doing order your entrées until you're done your apps and your salad. On Saturday we were out and I wasn't finished my salad in the entrée came out and the waiter just stood there and asked are you done with that !!! Thank you, bonefish. For ruining Valentines day. We arrived at 6:15 expecting a long wait. We put our name in and were told an hour long wait, which we were fine with. We patiently waited an hour, with our appetite brewing. The seeds were being sewn for a fantastic foodie evening!! At 7:25 we were taken to our seats, and placed our drink orders. Shortly after out drinks arrived and we ordered our meals. We both started with a Caesar salad. Which was far from the worst, but left a lot to be desired. As my fiancee quipped, it was indeed a "sad Caesar salad" Around 8:00 our entrees came out. She got the rainbow trout, I got the ribeye (medium) . Her rainbow trout came out fine, my ribeye came out WELL DONE. By WELL DONE it must be noted that this steak was cooked AS MUCH as humanly possible. My steak knife couldn't even tear through it. It took about five minutes for me to get the attention of someone to send it back. The manager and our server (who was great) apologized. I re-ordered my steak, medium, and eagerly awaited it's re-arrival. At about 8:30 another ribeye was delivered to my table by the manager. He asked if it looked OK, I cut into the edge of it and saw some pink, and was initially delighted. I told him it looked good and he walked away. Then I truly cut into the steak to see that it was RARE. By RARE it must be noted that this steak was cooked AS LITTLE as humanly possible. I understand you are a seafood restaurant, but it shouldn't be too hard to get the only other protein on your menu cooked properly. Not wanting to wait for another steak, or have to send another one back, and certainly not wanting to keep complaining, I tried the RARE steak. This proved to be a huge mistake, as the moment I started chewing I immediately lost my appetite. The steak had no seasoning, and they couldn't even cook it. We waited an additional 20 minutes after sending the second steak back before we could leave. We weren't able to leave until 9. All said and done, they got me for my entire $50 gift card. Our total was $32 but I kindly tipped the waiter the remainder because it wasn't his fault, and we have absolutely no desire to go back. We didn't get home until 9:30, 3 hours later. All I ate was bread and salad. I'm still starving, only now we can't go anywhere else and eat. I am stuck with my hunger. Thank you, bonefish. For ruining Valentines day. read more

The food and drinks were fine. My only gripe is they served me RAW sweet potatoes on my salad. I complained, they tried again and they came back still RAW. So I asked again and told them to just microwave it; they did and it came back slightly softened. They were still crunchy. Raw potato is something your body can't digest. I am so disappointed at the three failed attempts and then the manager did nothing but tell us she is sorry they couldn't get them cooked more. It was ridiculous. Have eaten here several times and always enjoyed it. I'm a hard core seafood guy, so I haven't tried any of their non seafood dishes. I enjoy their raw oysters and steamed muscles as an appetizer. Give those a shot. Recently they have been offering a scallop dish made with sushi grade scallops, can't remember the name. A good dish. Only complaint, I travel for work and you can tell they don't like seating a party of one here. The seafood dish that I ordered was absolutely tasteless! No flavor at all. It was supposed to be crab, scallops, and shrimp stuffed fish. There was this gooey tasteless glob in the middle of the fish with very little of anything in it. My cousins that went with me were not happy with the lack of flavor in their entrees as well. Mediocre service, bad presentation and undercooked food sums up my dinner experience over the weekend. I had been to this location several times, but this was the worst experience I have had. I made reservations for a party of 4 and we were seated promptly which was nice. For appetizers, we ordered bang bang shrimp which was mushy and undercooked and coconut shrimp which was okay. I also had a very small side salad which had an awful presentation. Entrees were filet with shrimp and the tilapia imperial. I asked for a filet well done (don't judge me) and it was cooked medium, so I gave it to my brother. My brother ordered a medium filet and it was served medium rare, but he still ate it. My mother ate the tilapia and got sick a few hours later. This location really needs to step up their game. read more

Have you ever read a piece of canonical literature, vaunted as "the greatest work of the 20th century," and then thought to yourself, "I don't get it"? That's how I feel about Virginia Woolf--and Bang Bang Shrimp. The waitress said if there's one thing to try, it's the bang bang shrimp. All of the reviews seem to corroborate her recommendation. Alas, I wasn't a big fan. They seemed to be clad in a heavy mayo sauce and didn't have much flavor to them. Maybe I got a bad batch. At least there were a lot of them! Though I really did enjoy my meal overall. We were here for Easter dinner, and they had some great specials, including a seafood sampler for two. It came with two salads, three sides, and several fish selections (including seared ahi tuna, sea bass, salmon, and shrimp and scallops. For $40 it was a great deal. The fish was cooked perfectly. It had a nice wood-fired crust on it, but was tender in the middle. I'm generally not one for frou-frou cocktails, but I tasted my sister-in-law's mango sidecar and I had to order one. It was freaking delicious, and I highly recommend getting one if they have it when you go. Dessert was quite tasty, too. We got a chocolate creme brulee, which I'm pretty sure was topped with homemade whipped cream. You can usually tell a good homemade whipped cream because it's not too sweet.
