Update again: went back after the gave me a gift card. Food was much better. I think dinner was better than brunch. Maybe they need to work on their brunch game but dinner was very good. hesitated going here. This use to be my favorite restaurant. It's plummeted as far as quality. I am gagging still from the taste of my bang bang eggs Benedict. The shrimp tasted fishy in a bad way. The eggs were inedible and over cooked. I sent them back once and asked for runny eggs. They brought back the exact same poached medium-hard eggs. The lack of sauce and runny eggs left me with two pieces of oversized dry English muffins topped with fried old shrimp. I don't have a lot of money so when I choose to eat out and tip i hope to get quality food from a place like this. The bartender didn't even ask or notice that I didn't eat 90% of my plate. Super sad and disappointed in how downhill the food quality has gone. Will not be back. Better restaurants around these parts. Update: they contacted me and apologized and said they will send gift cards for another chance. I will try again. read more

Ordered dinner for take out on 09/05/21. I am late posting ...I wasn't going to say anything but changed my mind. We were sorely disappointed. Packaging certainly didn't help the appeal of the meal. The rice was not fully cooked as it was still crunchy. yuck. The up charge for asparagus is insane. $5.50 for overcooked 6 pieces of asparagus? yuck. My Chilean Sea Bass was undercooked so I had to microwave it when I got home. yuck. Bang bang shrimp was a bit of a soggy mess and has almost doubled in price. I now remember why it has been nearly a year since I have ordered from Bonefish ....I do believe it was a similar subpar experience last time. Covid world or not.....not very acceptable. read more

Our waiter, Marcel, was incredibly helpful with menu items based on our dietary needs. He takes the time to make sure you feel welcome and are comfortable with your food options. He offered to let us smell some complimentary bread even though we could not eat it. Marcel is smart, helpful, and funny and he makes Bonefish Grill an even better dining experience. We went here for dinner on a Thursday night. It was not very busy. Three of us ordered lobster tails. All of the lobster tails were way overcooked. On mine all of the meat came out in one piece and I had to use a knife to cut it like a steak. The restaurant specializes in seafood so we expected better. We will not go there again. read more

Fish here taste like it's been frozen and then cooked. Doesn't taste fresh at all, especially for the price. Fish was bland & not seasoned well. The mashed potatoes are great though. First time I went there I was very impressed by the steak that I ordered. Very well cooked and seasoned, which is difficult to find, especially given that this is primarily a seafood place. I was excited to go back but was disappointed when my wife's filet, which must make up what it lacks in flavor with texture, was tough and over cooked. It was pretty much like eating a 7 dollar sirloin from Texas Roadhouse but it cost 24 bucks. My 36ish dollar ribeye was also underwhelming and made me long for the 5 dollar king soopers ribeyes my wife made earlier this week. You can knock us for ordering steak at a seafood place, but with those prices it's not unreasonable to expect good quality, well prepared food. Also the sashimi tuna steak appetizer was no better than a grocery store sushi dish. Service was also not great. Disappointed all around. Not sure why my first experience was different. They were somewhat busy so maybe that's it, but if you're charging 20 or 30 plus for a steak you should deliver regardless. It should be know we did not say anything. We didn't give them the chance to address our concerns. Not fair to them, for sure. read more

When I want to celebrate a special day it's the Bonefish Grill for me. Always good service and Amber was excellent explaining the menu specials and pacing our dinner just right. Food was well prepared and served hot which was excellent. Spinach oh so good and mashed potatoes were real. Desert for everyone with husband getting pumpkin creme brûlée. Good choice. This has been one of my favorite restaurants for years. The food is of high quality and seasonal. It's always consistent and delicious. My favorite is to come for an afternoon, sit in the bar, have a glass of Kim Crawford the Bang Bang Shrimp and their house salad. The service is excellent. I think it has been at least over 10 years and the service has always been excellent. The place was just recently remodeled too. It's a great place for a lovely date or an afternoon chill. read more

I'll be honest. I hadn't heard great things about Bonefish in the past and have been hesitant to try it. My better half suggested we try it anyway. Awesome decision. We were there late on a Tuesday night so we obviously didn't have to wait. We sat on the bar side and were waited on by Gale (or maybe Galen). HE WAS FABULOUS. So friendly, very attentive, suggested a GREAT cocktail. Yes. He was awesome. I even made sure to let the manager know what a great asset Gale is to their restaurant. The drink that he suggested, which I thoroughly enjoyed, was a Peach Bellini Martini. Does that not sound amazing?! It was. Get it. You'll love it. When it came time to order an appetizer, we asked our waiter's opinion - the Bang Bang Shrimp or Ceviche? He said that the Bang Bang Shrimp was one of the most popular dishes but that he would hands down, recommend the Ceviche. It was DELICIOUS. They make their chips in-house and we were given plenty of them. So tasty. Entrees: I got the rainbow trout with lemon butter and chimichurri sauces (on the side). For sides I opted for the whipped potatoes and the succatash. Everything was great. It was a BIG portion size (I only ate half). It was seasoned perfectly, not dry or overcooked and the options of the two sauces was nice. The boyfriend got the swordfish with the mango salsa with rice and caprese for sides. He really enjoyed his meal and the portion was also perfect. We were very pleased with our experience and attribute that mostly to Galen. We'll be returning for sure, with no hesitation! read more

Had dinner reservations for 8 at 500 pm. Arrived on time. THEY TRIED TO SPLIT THE GROUP in to parties of four. One was 13 month old baby. I understand COVID restrictions. We were all family living together. There were other tables of 8. They finally sat us together. The service was horrible, the food was cold and over cooked. The total bill was over $400 dollars. We were celebrating a birthday. Horrible night out. NEVER AGAIN. The managing staff came and told us there was a 90 minute maximum seating time. It took over 45 minutes to get our food. NEVER AGAIN. Had the opportunity to try this place today and I sure wish I had tried it sooner. It was selected by my brother for a family gathering and has also been highly recommended by coworkers. Now, let me start by saying I generally do not eat seafood (had always had a disliking for it growing up). They have a small selection of beef dishes and one chicken dish that would suffice for those who don't want fish or shellfish. The service was amazing. We had a gal who has been there about 7 years (her name escapes me, I am sorry!). She was friendly, knowledgeable and a great person to have on staff. We ordered 3 appetizers: beef wontons, coconut shrimp and crab cakes. All three were delicious. Carribean cobia fish was ordered by most of the table (try it with the mango sauce/salsa) and even I enjoyed a bite of the fish (this non-fish eater enjoyed the tasty bite!). I personally ordered the burger and the flavor was superb. The family also enjoyed brussel sprouts and au gratin potatoes as their sides and I can confirm, the brussel sprouts are super good! Stopped-in after work on a random weeknight to meet up with a friend who lives nearby, and was surprised to see that the place was hopping. Well, I suppose that's Loveland for you ... the denizens do love their chain restaurants, and happy hour. My friend & I got our signals crossed, so I spent ~15 minutes sitting by myself in the dining area -- the staff was still friendly and gracious. I ordered edamame to munch on while I waited. Rather than plain old salt their seasoning had a citrus note ... tasty though not all that traditional. I felt a bit angst-ridden as I perused the menu ... for the price point, the meals had better be good, but I couldn't get out of my head that it was a chain restaurant in the middle of a land-locked state. I ultimately decided to try the lobster roll special, rationalizing that if it is a special, there must be something, well, special about it. It was all right. Next time? I was so excited to find out about this location. Being from Florida, I haven't seen a bonefish in so long. It did not disappoint and lived up to the hype I pitched to my husband. We ordered food to go and the food was still popping hot and fresh when we got home. I didn't catch the guys name tonight but he was so sweet! Very professional and efficient. I went out to the Bonefish Grill tonight with a friend. As usual the food there is delicious. When the bill came I was shocked at the price. It was double what I was expected. I did not say anything while there so as to not create a scene. So when I got home, I called. The manager was busy but returned my call soon. When I explained how shocked I was, Rachel, the manager was very nice and explained how the price of everything has skyrocketed. With that explanation, she did offer to make it right . I was impressed with her attitude and her willingness to correct things in some way. Good people do exist. The waiter was fantastic and very polite, helpful and courteous. The food is delicious, but pricey. I will still go back but will be very aware of prices before ordering, maybe splitting an app and dinner with a friend. read more

My family and I stopped in to grab some lunch here on Sunday at about 1:00pm. We were unaware that it was Sunday brunch, so that was a pleasant surprise, but probably the only pleasant part about our visit... well, other than we were seated at a table right away. After being seated, we sat there for a solid 10 minutes before we were acknowledged by our server, so by the time she got to us, we were ready to place our full order, both drinks and food. They have an option during their brunch called "endless bubbles." You can have "endless" mimosas with your brunch food item for an added $10.00 to the price of your meal. I opted for this because who doesn't want to enjoy endless mimosas?!?! After we ordered, again, we waited, and waited and waited. When our server finally brought just our drinks, she forgot my husband's soda, which then didn't come until he was done eating his meal. I never got to fully experience "endless bubbles" because I only saw our server twice to order or to ask for anything. The place wasn't overly busy. Our server did have a big top in addition to our table, and I can understand the demand of that, however, that doesn't excuse the fact that she only checked on us a grand total of two times over the entirety of our extra long stay. We were there for almost an hour and half! With no real reason to be, because we only ordered 3 meals! When my husband finally tracked down the manager to talk to, he only tried to make excuses instead of trying to resolve or in the very least fix our experience. I know that being a server is a rigorous job, especially if you're incredibly busy with a lot tables, big or small, however, our server could have definitely checked in on us way more often, even saying something like, "I apologize. I have a really big table..." yada, yada, yada. This dining experience tainted our opinion of this particular Bonefish, which is unfortunate. read more

We've been there twice, there isn't too much to choose from for our taste, I got the lobster tail with bacon Mac n cheese and veggies. My hubby got the steak with sweet potatoes. The food was yummy, pretty pricey but I had no complaints. We took our kids with 8&4 and it didn't really seem like a place for kids, it was more of a romantic dinner kind of restaurant with low lights and candles. Over all I would recommend it :) read more

The picadillo empanada was decent, the bread of pastry was delicious but the picadillo it's self was a little bit dry on the inside. I had the the mojo sauce with it and it tasted a bit better but i think it would of tasted better with a green salsa. Wanting to support local businesses, we ordered takeout from bonefish one of our go to restaurants. The bang bang shrimp tacos were perfect. The fish and chips however were all chips and hardly any fish. Not like the usual fare. Disappointed. For the price you pay, you should get what you pay for. I know all the businesses are in crisis, cutting corners where they can cut corners, but if you're wanting to provide a service during this time of unchartered territory, do the best you can or don't bother at all. Great place for a date night, wouldn't really recommend for small children. Front desk / reservation staff tends to be a bit ditzy, but never had problems with the servers. The hubs and I went here on our way to a Cirque de Soleil show in Loveland. Our server was nice enough at first, but then he went into overly complicated explanations of the menu, and just kept getting more and more snooty. Every time he brought us something, the time that it took him to return grew. So, by the time he finally brought us the check, we had been waiting a long time. The food was pretty good. We really enjoyed the Bang Bang Shrimp appetizer. I ordered the chicken special, which was good, but he talked this dish up so much, that I was quite surprised at how small the portions I received were. It looked more like a cornish hen than a chicken on my plate. My husband ordered the steak, which was really overcooked. The mashed potatoes that came with were really good, but the veggies were soggy and overcooked. We go out to eat regularly but the experience we had at Bonefish Grill was outstanding. We have eaten at other Bonefish Grill's in colorado, so the food was a known factor. The fish is fresh and the portions are great. What really stood out during this visit was when the clouds parted in the late afternoon and the sun shone brightly into the dining room. Two waiters, without a request or provocation lowered the blinds for us. They are incredibly professional and helpful waiters. read more

This review doesn't need to be more than one word: overrated. But I'll write more than one word anyway. Bonefish is overrated because: it's prices are ridiculous (especially for the value), it's fish is obviously not fresh (contrary to popular belief, it is possible for a land-locked professional establishment to acquire fresh fish), and it's service is mediocre at best. I've only been to dinner, so I can only accurately speak for that experience. Bonefish wants you to pay, for an appetizer, the price of an entree at most other restaurants. It's actual entrees are $15-$30, and, most likely, you'll get a drink (or several) on top of that. And the problem is: their food isn't good enough to justify those prices. I've worked in restaurants, and Bonefish clearly has frozen fish. If their fish was flash-frozen, that would be a different story, because flash-freezing *actually* keeps the moisture in and there's minimal decline in the freshness or quality of the fish. But it's not flash frozen, it's frozen and then thawed. Their seared Ahi Tuna appetizer straight up tastes almost powdery-flaky. Every entree I've ever tried is just dry, and because they underseason everything, it all ends up tasting the same. If you *must* eat here, go for something "standard", as their "ethnic fusions" tend to be caricatures of the food they're imitating and their execution on those dishes is that much more disappointing. Then, when you get your overpriced check, don't forget you have to tip for some very mediocre service. At best, Bonefish's service is clumsy and hovering. At worst, Bonefish's service is indifferent and inattentive. This juxtaposition defeats the purpose of a chain: consistency. (Something that they try to, laughably and superficially, enforce with uniforms that mislead you into thinking the service is better than it is.) I don't like eating here, but my family insists. If I can help it, I wouldn't ever really eat here because all this place has going for it is that it's a "trendy" date-night location for yuppies and soccer moms/dads with a full bar. You could really get a much better seafood meal at Honolulu's less than a hundred feet away at a fraction of the price. Wouldn't really recommend this to anyone. 2.5/5 stars. read more
