I shared the mahi mahi special and house salad with chicken. The fish was some of the best I've had since being in Florida last year! It had a nice tangy slightly spicy little sweet salsa on top. Went there last month with my husband. We were seated in the bar area, which was fine, but it was freezing to start with, felt like they had the AC on when it was cold outside. Our server took our food and drink order and then we barely saw her again, we had to flag her down to get her to stop aside from bringing a box and our check. My husband ordered filet and crab cake and when his food was brought out there was a visibly moldy lemon slice on his plate. So not only did someone in the kitchen put this on his plate mold side up but the person who brought it out could see it too. We flagged our server down and showed her, she seemed kind of dismissive, "that's not cool," took it and walked away. Nothing else was ever said or done about it. My husband and I have worked in customer service and don't want to knock a place without giving them a chance to fix the situation. My husband filled out a form with the restaurant and the manager reached out and apologized and offered us a meal for us to give them another chance. We agreed, and he asked us to provide dates we could come in, we did and then crickets... no response at all. read more

My family of four went there this evening for dinner. They were understaffed and we continuously waited for everything from appetizers to dinner to check. We were understanding and did not complain once although staff kept sharing how much work they were doing. Our food was overall very good with the exception of the scallops and shrimp not being cooked consistently. Some were more thoroughly cooked than others, the side of rice was crunchy. The final straw was the smoked old fashioned. It was very strong and was more like bourbon straight up. I gave it to my husband as he loves bourbon. Without the sweetness it was too much for me. However, when he finished it, it was pure granulated sugar at the bottom so it was not mixed at all and they did not provide a stir stick. When we mentioned it to our server, she said she has been serving these for years I was the first to complain. We were very patient all night and understanding, but that comment was completely uncalled for. We didn't even ask for it to be removed from the bill. I told her straight out that I couldn't believe she said that to me as that is horrible customer service. She could have just apologized and say she was going to give our feedback to the bartender. We put up with their poor service all night long and spend appx $200.00 so that last comment will ensure that we will never be back. At those prices we expect better service. read more

We had a great meal here on Tuesday evening, 12/17/2013, my second visit here in about three years. We were surprised to find out there are certain specials on Tuesday night; specifically, it is "Lobster night," with substantial savings on Lobster dinners, Lobster Thermidor, etc. In fact, you can "add-on" a lobster tail to any entrée item for only $7.90. They also have a bunch of cocktail specials for happy hour. I don't remember them all, but one of them was 50% off call liquor. (No wonder the bar was packed at 5:30 PM!). We started with cocktails; nicely poured in heavy "rock" glasses. The coconut shrimp was our choice for an appetizer and we were NOT disappointed; it was excellent (see the picture). Cheryl got the lump crab cake dinner. She loved it (as did I when I stole a taste). I got the "Tokyo Style" Ahi Tuna (see the picture). This was served sliced and was deep red and warm...almost like Sashimi, and I really liked it. I added on a "cold water" lobster tail that was as good as they promised. Let's face it, lobster doesn't have a lot of flavor, but this was definitely a fresh/sweet tasting lobster tail and a nice size. I ate it as is, by the way, with none of the accompanied drawn butter (see the picture). We splurged and ordered a "chocolate" creme brulee with our after dinner coffee (see the picture). Wow. That dessert had our eyes popping out. It was unique and amazingly good, something we'd never expect from a fish restaurant, of all places. We were served professionally by Sonia (and other team helpers), who was upbeat, efficient, knowledgeable and a real asset to the restaurant. Went to Bonefish for my moms birthday. We started with oysters Rockefeller. They were great and I could have eaten more - bacon was a nice touch! For the main course, my dad had the Chilean Sea Bass which was fresh and buttery tasting. The rest of us had shrimp and scallops. The shrimp and scallops were all cooked perfectly. We also really enjoyed our various sides of broccoli, green beans and cheesy au gratin potatoes. When you order grilled seafood you get the option of trying different sauces. Our waitress allowed us to get multiple sauces. We all loved the unique tomato lime sauce. However. We likely wouldn't have tried it if it has not been for them passing out saucy shrimp samples by the waiting area. We tried it there and loved the sauce. I've never been to a place that passes out appetizer samples while we wait, but it was great service and also got us to try something we may not have otherwise! A seafood grill on very solid ground ! Bonefish seems to have avoided that all too common arc of franchise success of off to great starts and popularity followed by a long steady decline. Food: Obviously fresh seafood is the focus here and they deliver it, with a menu offering the ability to individually tailor your fish with 4-5 different preparations . Non seafood eaters needn't feel overlooked as that wonderful wood fired grill works the same magic on beef and poultry offerings as well. Ambiance: Is somewhat minimalist, any references to a coastal vibe are very understated. Overall it's a comfortable large room dining area with bar seating offering a bit more of a vibe. Restaurant is well kept and clean but it may be time for some updates. Service: Generally it is attentive, well paced and on point with a few hiccups over the years on rare occasions. Value: While all dining costs have risen especially seafood, Bonefish has really done a pretty decent job of providing high quality food in nice surroundings with competent service at a relatively affordable price point. Fun Fact: This Bonefish location is unique in that it was never slated to be a Bonefish grill, it was constructed for the red robin franchise group but was repurposed after further consideration. We made reservations for dinner 7pm. We were seated quickly in a comfortable booth. The Bang Bang shrimp was great and I love that it came presented on its own little salad. I ordered the Chilean Sea Bass and it was very good, just perfect. I tried a few different sauces to go with it. I was disappointed with the side options they offer to go with the meals. They need to be updated. There wasn't much to choose from and the salad I got for one of my sides was just a house salad and it cost me $4 extra. Hubby got aAhi Tuna filet done just slightly grilled on each side. I was surprised it didn't come with any wasabi,spicy mayo or even a sesame coating. It was pretty bland for him. Our 7 year old got the kids fish. It came out with 2 large pieces of cod. I had to ask for tartar sauce and it had a great homemade flavor. His fish was quite delicious. Our server seemed new because he made it awkward when he would check in or try to make conversation. The dining room could be more modern. It's a huge open space with minimal decor. Went for a nice, easy, date night dinner and after a mostly mediocre to poor experience, we definitely will not return. Arrived just after 8pm on a Thursday night and they were definitely in closedown mode. Server was friendly and drink service was quick but everything else was mediocre at best. Lots of staff hanging out in dining space, talking loudly, cashing out, counting tips, dancing around, and being very unprofessional and discourteous you guests. Manager (supervisor maybe) was sitting at a table (behind host station) doing paperwork but also chatting loudly with staff. Very distracting. Food wise, the imperial dip was pretty good, chips were crispy but overly salted. Balanced out okay because dip was under salted. Shrimp pieces were perfectly cooked, bay scallops were a bit rubbery. For dinner, I ordered blackened shrimp tacos with fries and my wife ordered crab corn chowder. Tacos were pretty good. Good salsa and sauce, fish was coated in blackening seasoning but were not actually blackened. Flavor was pretty good but fish was overcooked. Fries were great. My wife's corn chowder was terrible and returned to kitchen. I'm a professional chef, by trade, and this was not a chowder. It was spicy, peppery broth based, and had only a few pieces of corn. There were great crab chunks, but the soup was so over seasoned that the deliciousness of the crab was lost. At best, it was a poorly made red pepper bisque, but it is definitely not a corn chowder. We told the server the soup was bad and returned it, she took it back and then complained to the bartender and another server about our complaint. We decided not to cause a scene or complain further as it only would have negatively affected us. It was clear that none of the staff cared and we definitely will not return. read more

I'm still livid about yesterday when we went to lunch at the Brookfield, WI for Mother's Day. We made a reservation 2 weeks in advance for 8 peoples at 1pm. We checked in 15 minutes early to assure we are seated around the time or a little after. With people going in way before us with 7 guests or the same that didn't even have to wait, I was getting confused and extremely upset. We didn't get seated till hour and a half later after going up for the 4th time to see why we weren't getting seated when parties were going in before us. I tried to make the most of it but it got worse. People around us were getting drinks and apps and bread before us. Mind you that they were seated after us. Hour and a half after ordering we finally got most of our food and 3 of us had to wait for food because it was accidentally sent to another table. My dad and myself ordered filet mignon, which we've ordered before and it was not filet mignon. I couldn't eat it because it was so fatty and mignon is not supposed to be like that. I told our waiter that and all he said was oh really and offered dessert for free. They didn't even offer to take item off the bill or an apology and gave 10% off the bill which wasn't even the amount of the 2 meals that were barely touched. I really do not like to write bad reviews but I had a horrible experience there. My coworkers always talked so many good things about this place for years. So on September 30, my fiancé and I was celebrating our anniversary so we decided to try this place. Yay finally right! We arrived there around 6:45pm. They told us it will be a 10-20 minutes waiting. We were fine waiting. We sat at the bar to grab a drink while we wait. The bartender was super friendly. After 15 minutes later we got a text to let us know that they're ready for us. This was at 7:01pm. The lady sat us down in a nice round table. We looked at the menu and know what we wanted. Other tables was still eating and some was packing to leave. The waitresses there go to the other tables helping the others customers around us leave and cleaned up the tables. Nobody came over to greet us nor give us any water. It was not busy that night at all. One by one table was leaving after another but yet nobody came to serve us. We waited until 8:04pm and decided to leave. We were so disappointed about the service here. We feel like nobody saw us or didn't care to come over just to say hi to acknowledge our existence there. I am surprised at how busy this restaurant was on a Saturday night - 2 hour wait for a 2 top at 6:30pm! I enjoyed my food and we had a super nice waitress, but I do not feel like the quality, quantity, or creativity of the food nor ambiance are good enough to justify the higher price. We ordered the waygu beef and ginger potstickers as a appetizer - the beef was super tender but the sauce was super liquidy and hard to dip in. I ordered the George's bay scallops and shrimp with chimichurri and mango salsa - they were grilled nicely and I would highly recommend the chimichurri sauce! The seasonal vegetable was steamed broccoli, but I'm pretty sure they were also doused in butter which was disappointing. Potatoes au gratin were okay but I wasn't expecting so much potato skin. My boyfriend got the dynamite style shrimp with the same sides, he enjoyed it but I was not a fan of the aioli that they were smothered in. I've never heard of this place and we just happen to be driving around in Brookfield and came across it. We went around 2:30 so it was very quiet, barely any people which we both like. Our waitress was very nice and happily answered the questions we had. We ordered the Thai coconut shrimp as an appetizer, we both liked it although it was a tad spicy for me. He ordered the rainbow parmesan crusted trout which came with two sides. He picked the potatoes au gratin and spinach. I had the tilapia imperial which is stuffed with shrimp, scallops, and crabmeat. I chose the potatoes au gratin as well and the steamed broccoli. We both really liked our food and would definitely go back. I stuck with water but he had a couple of drinks, the mule being one. I tried it and we both agreed it wasn't the greatest but not terrible. He also had the seasonal manhattan which I didn't try but he seemed to like it. Overall, the experience, decor, waitress, and atmosphere were great. I chose the garlic mashed potatoes and sauteed spinach. Side portions were generous. I was more than satisfied after completing my meal with the accompanying bread and olive oil. The restaurant Bonefish was not busy but the server on 7/27/22 Todd was horrible. No attention to we the customers 3 of us was not there. The order was wrong and the person delivering the meal corrected the orders. The Mgr stopped by to see how things were going we told him and he said he would be back later to discuss, but this did not happen. Our server never returned the entire night except to bring the bill no check on the food or refill drinks. The steak filet 7 was fat ad very poor quality. We love Bonefish Grill and have been frequent customers of the one in Brookfield WI over the years and the Bonefish located in the Villages, FL. The Brookfield location customer service outshines FL by a mile. And our waitress last night in Brookfield confirms that statement. Jasmine was attentive and has the sweetest personality. However, service aside, I would suggest to anyone, not to order the Fin Martini. Cute idea - with a sharks tale ice cube floating in your martini glass. But I would have thought it would have been a thin layer of ice on top of a martini as martini's usually don't have ice cubes. But this ice cube, although cute took up half the glass and you get a third of a normal martini. I saw plenty of martinis - pomegranate, cosmo, etc being served without the huge ice cube. I put the huge ice cube on a side plate and I asked Jasmine if I could order another but without the ice cube as I would use the ice cube I had and I mentioned the lack of a drink. She said the bartender wouldn't do it without the huge ice cube - so if I were ordering a drink again it wouldn't be the Fin Martini, as you really don't get more than a couple of sips. Also, I ordered the summer Halibut with miso sauce over rice and sautéed spinach. Flavor was wonderful but it was served just warm and the halibut was a bit dry and slightly overcooked. My husband had a pineapple shrimp dish served over a coconut risotto that was delicious with plenty of shrimp! And the Crab, Corn Chowder was good as usual.
