While on the west side of Columbus, I was pleasantly surprised to find another Speck's Pet Supply…read morein the shopping center where I had dined. Speck's is an Indiana based chain of pet supply stores that focuses on taking care of your existing pets. Some places offer pet bathing stations and veterinary services too! I didn't check out all the features of this one. I was mainly interested in getting some healthy treats for my small dog since I had just ran out earlier that morning. I was greeted by both the staff working that afternoon and they directed me to the aisles that contained the treats. They carried a wide selection of treats, mostly natural/healthier than I find at the big box stores. Like the rest of the Speck's I've been to, they mainly focus on the more common pets: dogs and cats. They have islands of bulk pet food available. I was pleased to see that they carry a lot of remedies for health problems here. I really like using the pill pockets for when I am required to administer pills from my local vet. Surprisingly the "wet" cat food I shopped for was comparably priced with the Walmart across the street. Friskies was only a couple of cents more per can. Petsmart should work on the deplorable conditions they keep their Bettas in before trying to educate customers.
