This was my first time having my large fluffy Persian cat groomed, not only here but anywhere as he is just 18 months old. The place I had been going for years closed, so I needed to find a new place. He is my third Persian and their fur can get out of control regardless of how many times I brush. . I always have anxiety dropping off my pets, but I will absolutely go back! Finnegan, my cat, can have strong opinions about things, but he did great! They were so kind and patient and that's truly all we want. Plus a great cut and he even came out with a cute Valentine's Day handkerchief. Very fair price as well. Angela and her crew are incredibly knowledgeable and helpful! We have a very reactive and anxious Golden Doodle who loves to get groomed. She does an amazing job at working with the animals! Also, she is understanding and kind. We sent our payment to the wrong Venmo (100% our fault), but she was so kind and patient while we got it figured out. We took our dog Bella to Angela at Fabulous fur. We have had Angela groom Bella for a little over a year. We decided to have Caroline at Fabulous Fur groom Bella because she did such a good job . Bella is a 20 month old Yorkie . The last time Caroline groomed Bella the cut was terrible. It looked like she had spent no time grooming Bella. So my wife asked to speak with Caroline because we were shocked at how bad it was. Caroline was very rude. She seemed like she was having a bad day . Caroline said to my wife" maybe you should take Bella to someone else". Again, we were so surprised because Caroline had done such a good job with Bella in the past. Angela, the owner ,stepped in and ask if we would like our money back. My wife said yes. Everyone has a bad day. If Caroline or Angela would have said we are sorry for today's cut & said When Bella gets groomed next time it is on us, no charge, my wife would have accepted & they would still have a good paying customer. Angela is a good groomer & had a good reputation. However, when you occasionally get an upset customer you deal with it. You don't blow them off. There are much cheaper groomers in the Bloomington, in area than Angela but we liked them a lot because we thought she was a quality groomer. Too bad!!!! read more

I am beyond impressed with Angela and the work she does here. I called her in a crisis when the place I had a grooming appointment canceled on me just a couple hours before my dog was scheduled to be there. To top it off, I was taking him out of town that afternoon. Angela was amazing and fit him into her schedule and told me to bring him right over. I even got a call while I was driving him over, to make sure I wasn't lost and to give me directions for finding where she was located. Don't be confused by the different name on the door. I assure you, Angela will be found inside (as well as several other groomers). Angela is incredibly knowledgeable about breeds of dogs and how to groom them. She talked to me about what she would do for him and how his coat should be taken care of. He was ready exactly when she said he would be, and he looks amazing! I am beyond pleased! We left straight away and drove to Chicago to see my family. When we arrived, my family (without prompting) said this was the best haircut he's ever had! I will only bring my dog to Angela from now on! read more

Angela is amazing! We've been taking our dog to her salon for over 4 years. Our dog used to HATE going to the groomers. Now he loves it. He starts barking in the car when we pull up because he is so excited. He has so much fun with the other dogs. Angela breaks up the haircut into chunks so the animals don't get stressed from the experience, and it's not uncommon for a few doggies to be running around loose playing with each other when we come to pick him up. It's clear that Angela cares about the dogs and her business. This is the best groomer in Bloomington. read more

Excellent experience here. Angela is very sweet with our pup. She does an excellent job getting a consistent cut, which can be challenging on our little dude as he tends to be pretty squirmy. I wanted to try and find more local business to support during covid and my pup was in need of a serious spa day. I was looking around and did see this place had a lot of great reviews and the photos on the website looked very promising. Appointment time came/ dropped him off/ described that we wanted to keep the back as is length wise but trim the rest of the body short with a teddy bear cut for the face. They asked for me to send a picture as well to their business cellphone. Fast forward, they call and let me know he is ready. I come to pick him up and they start to explain that his hair cut I wanted got "Lost in the cut", basically they forgot and went on autopilot when cutting him. His fur was very soft and everything else was great, but I feel like when you have a request for a certain haircut, i would expect something somewhat close to what i requested, not completely opposite. I am not one to leave poor reviews, but when it comes to my dog, I will do whatever is needed. do NOT go here. I went in for a nail trim and they did just an awful job and hurt my dog in the process. She has never acted like she did getting her nails trimmed. I got home and looked at the nails, and they look AWFUL! I am not sure how one could make them look so terrible. Do not take your dog here for all these reasons. Dogs should never have to feel and look the way that Fabulous Fur treated mine. read more

I was a little nervous leaving my dog here because he's a bit temperamental, but they did a great job! My dog looks amazing. If your dog is temperamental with other dogs though I wouldn't send them here because all the dogs hang out together while they wait which is great for some but probably not others. read more

That's what i understand and can tell how they had no time with the customers when they pick up dogs.... after they done with my dog and don't like it. This place is a hidden gem. I have 2 pitbulls and they are amazing for my "special needs" male. He doesn't do well with other animals due to his horrible past and they always put me at ease when he is in their care. My dogs are so soft when I pick them up. I appreciate what they do, as I'm sure doing this everyday would be trying....especially for those "special needs" dogs. read more

Avoid Fabulous Fur if your dog is stressed and anxious. The atmosphere of this salon is a traumatic experience that can cause your dog to become fearful or experience a full blown panic attack. Clients' dogs share a small space with too many other dogs. Angela wasn't there this morning, but I inquired over the number of dogs. The staff informed me that 11 of the dogs belong to them (Angela and 2 workers). My dog's services usually take 2 hours but today they asked me to return 4 hours later. I left feeling bad for my shaking scared dog. I called my husband from the car and returned to retrieve our dog and cancel the appointment. During that time (10-15) minutes he received a super fast bath. I paid but will not go back.  I'd recommend a walk through before leaving your pet. There's a bunch more dogs behind the barn door. When I collected my dog without warning 10 more dogs came out of that back room. read more

Just moved to Bloomington from Georgia and was dreading finding a new groomer for my two labradoodles. Angela did a great job and listened to my preferences. One of my dogs had some mats on his muzzle, and she worked some kind of magic in removing them! Highly recommended. read more
