After awkwardly standing there thinking we'd be shown maybe a Camry or maybe a Kia we walked outside to try to look ourselves. No one came out to show us which cars and we had no way of knowing since there were several Camrys and kias. I went in for a simple tire rotation. The staff weren't friendly at all or communicative about…read moreservices. I noticed after my tire rotation that my car drifted slightly to the right so I took it back in for them to check it out. Instead of communicating that they felt my car had no issues, they then performed a service on my car without my consent. when I question staff member Corey Blalock as why they put the tires back to how they were pre-service I was given different reasons. First he said it was because my tires were unevenly worn.( I have a 2025 nissan Sentra that had less than 5,000 miles at the time of service.) Then he stated it was because of the uneven roads of Dothan. When I questioned why they would put them back after I paid for the rotation, he stated they "fixed the problem/complaint I had"(leaving me to believe it was done out of spite because of my "complaint".)Then when I further pushed the issue about it, I was met with a condescending-attitude, with him stating that he could've charged me for a service I was unaware of and how they switched them back for "free" as if they were doing me a favor. He was not helpful at all and I could tell he did not care to fix the issue and I left without the issue being resolved.

But because we don't drive this car much it had been 17 months (did I mention it only had 6000 miles on the "new" transmission). They refused to help me out at all on this and now I cant afford to repair the vehicle which is the only one large enough to carry my family so no vacation this year kids. You know a business that stands by their work would at least offer to cover some of the cost especially after admitting they were putting in faulty parts to begin with.

I had been taking my car to Joe Evans for years and he had always been fair and honest. Now his son…read morehas taken over and I will never go there again. My wife called me to tell me her car broke down when the serpentine belt snapped and her friend from work was bringing her a new belt from Autozone. I was stuck at work so I told her to get a tow to Evans automotive. I called Evans to let them know and asked him to also fit a new coolant reservoir which was in a box in the trunk (2 bolts and a hose clip). He called me later that day to tell me the work would cost $1,250. I said what?? He said $1250. I said $1,250 to put a fan belt on are you serious?? He said yes because the tensioner pulley is broken. (A $40 part) I said ok how much will it be without doing the coolant reservoir? He said $650. (So he was going to charge $600 to replace the plastic coolant container - a one bolt 2 minute job.) Of course I was stuck because my wife has already paid to have her car towed to his shop and she needed her car so I had to accept being totally ripped off and pay them $650 to put the fan belt on but that will never happen again because I will never recommend my wife or anyone get a tow to Evans Garage ever again.

Nicest people and they worked on my car. I have an Audi and it was a problem that takes a dealer. They troubleshot the issue, removed tires to inspect the problem and then did not charge me for any of this. Anywhere else would have charged for the diagnostic and shop time. I'll be back with my other 3 cars.
