I was not disappointed. When I pulled Into the shop Brian took care of me. He assessed my situation then gave me an estimate. Even though the cost of living in Mew Hampshire is more than in Florida, I found in price to be very reasonable. When I picked up my truck, it was fixed right. I would highly recommend Darling's or Phil & Son Auto.

I went to them a few years ago after getting cleaned out by another mechanic two years in a row. The second time, it was obvious fraud (complete failure to address the problem coupled with replacing a part that was good). Am I glad I switched! They do look at things carefully and give accurate assessments of both current and impending problems (like tire wear, for instance, AHEAD of when they need to be replaced). There is absolutely no pressure to buy parts or services from them, based on what they report. From what I've seen and other people tell me, the Darlings try to keep repairs as reasonably affordable as they can. They are more than willing to prioritize what needs to be done, so it can be spread out. Their hourly labor rate is competitive with similar businesses, but since they are competent, it's kind of a bargain. The only drawback is that A LOT of people recommend Phil and Son's. That's bad because it means that there's a wait when I want to get MY car in. In spite of that, I've directed my best friends there because what nicer thing can you do for your friends than to find a very good and ethical mechanic? If they could just book their cars in AFTER mine....

I made an appointment with only three days notice and they were able to fit me at a convenient time. When I got there, I was received like an ambassador. Their waiting room is expansive, comfortable and equipped with free video games. After examining my car, I was diagrammed the flanges that were rusty and given a thorough price breakdown. I ended up getting three flanges done. The entire work was done in less than an hour. When I got home, I took the car to my mechanic. How evaluation was that the work was done amazingly professional. A happy camper.

I also asked about getting some more sound out of the exhaust while I was there and I had some pretty strict requirements for what I wanted / didn't want but Lous provided some great recommendations and did the modification that I ended up choosing while I was there also super fast and at a great price. My car sounds absolutely perfect now, it's exactly what I wanted! The waiting area is well thought out and large they even had a puzzle on a table to put together, seems like people just kind of contribute to the puzzle while waiting which is a pretty great idea. They also have an arcade game, couch and TV so even though service is very fast it's easy to hang out and wait for your work to be completed.

Only to be told the driver WON'T be able to deliver since it will put him out of his usual route. He (Luis) apologizes and swears up a down that his word is good. Even though Monday he made a promise he couldn't keep. So I call my mechanic and tell him the bad news. He's already upset since we missed the Wednesday "alleged" delivery date. Friday I call and speak with him again and he says, I thought we delivered it yesterday. I'm my head I'm like is he serious? He apologized and told me Friday. I wait on hold and he says, it's been delivered yesterday. I said are you sure? He says yes. I called mechanic and he confirms it was delivered late in the day prior. So why the hell would Bow Auto Parts apologize to me and not even tell me. Hey btw, we got it there for you. If I had to do it again I'd probably seek another place. Proceed with caution.

I came to Micorp Custom Auto for the latter and boy...they did NOT disappoint! I was impressed with these dudes almost from the very start due to their wicked fast responsiveness. After sending out my "Yelp feelers" (as I do) to gather some quotes, they were basically the ONLY business to reply with an actual, tangible price. Meanwhile, one business replied with (I kid you not), "Yes, I can install that for you."...which told me absolutely nothing. At another point, I thought I would go with Boomer Nashua since they were closer to us. But after getting NO response from neither their Yelp mailbox nor a direct email via their site, it was clear I needed to seek greener pastures. But, I digress. MCAT's location is a quaint little shop that's a bit tucked in with a street sign so small, you'll miss it if you blink once (or at least, I did). They're open only on weekdays, but their results are second to none. Now, I had already successfully (not to mention painfully) installed a custom fitted front dash cam in my car. I needed a rear cam installed by a professional who knows how to hardwire a cable with the utmost subterfuge. Recognizing such a task was clearly above my pay grade, I deferred to MCAT's expertise. Sufficed to say, these guys rock! They gave me an hourly rate upfront (which came to $150 per hour). And for those wondering, they do offer a lot of their own parts, though it looks to be mainly audio accessories and other things. Let my experience be proof, however, that you can totally show up with your own technical inventory and have them install it for you. At which point, you need only consider the labor cost. This is the most bottom line, upfront pricing I've ever seen and it's awesome! Why can't more businesses be this straight forward? Anyone who needs some type of electronic item installed onto their vehicle, I'd highly recommend this place right here. Just describe to them precisely what you need and they'll give you a quote with an ETA to boot. Also, shout out to the technicians on site that day for being so chill. I'm giving Micorp Custom Auto & Truck 5 rear dash cams mounted with stellar precision out of 5.
