Spacious, modern vibe with plenty of seatings. We really enjoyed the chicken wings especially the soy garlic. The wings are double fried so they are extra crispy. Server was nice and friendly.

We had a great time and enjoyed wonderful Korean food. Also, our server Nate was excellent in helping us with the food choices since it was the first time. We would definitely repeat.

I've been to many Bonchon on my travels and this is a solid branch. When I stopped by for lunch, the waitstaff consisted of one with four tables of diners. I was a bit concerned about the turn around, but my order was taken promptly and the kitchen turned it around quickly. Everything was cooked well and I thoroughly enjoyed my choices. I came for the Korean fried wings, but the parmesan crusted fries were delightful crispy, and my side of kimchi was enough to bring some home.

    Tteokbokki with unmelted cheese

Service is pretty slow although the restaurant is almost empty. Food was terrible. Boneless chicken was salty. I recommend go to BBQ chicken if u like Korean chicken. Teokbokki, I could only taste some spicy and nothing else and came out with unmelted cheese. And took long time to cook. I got it when my coworkers are almost finished their food. $6-7 frozen instant Teokbokki we can buy at Korean grocery will be more delicious and can cook quickly. With one pepsi refill, automatic 20% gravity was applied on the bill. (We were 7 ppl but nothing was cared except one refill at the last minute) Conclusion, I won't go there again.

Tofu bulgogi. Good food but poor service.

Dine-in Lunch for 4 on Sunday, 11/10/2024 Good food Poor service They need to hire more staff. There was one man manning the whole floor. He served as greeter, bar tender, food runner, and cashier. I saw a lot of customers come in and leave because they were standing by the door for a long time without being greeted. This is not the one employee's fault. He was doing 4 people's jobs. Note: You must go to the guy to give your order. Do not wait for him to go to your table. They were out of udon. It would help if their menu indicated this. Food was good. However, it took a long time for our food to be served. Perhaps they need more kitchen staff, too. Also, the pacing was wrong. We were given the main dishes first before the appetizers. The rice that came with the main dish was served last when we were halfway through with the main dish. Food was good but we would not go back.

Discovered this place a few years back because I heard Korean chicken was the best, and I can agree! It's not oily at all and has a great crunch still. We love getting the strips for convenience. I typically do half and half, but sometimes the spicy gets too spicy sometimes for us. We love that it comes with a side dish of your choice, such as coleslaw or pickled radish! I've only chosen pickled radish, so I'm not sure how the coleslaw is. I wish they did still have the sweet chili sauce, but sadly it was limited time only. Hopefully it comes back as a permanent one! We love the bulgogi fries too! Even though it wasn't super crispy (just our preference but also we got it as a to-go order), we still loved it so much! We would definitely get it again. A great amount of bulgogi too! Only downside was the price, but I saw it's worth it on occasion. Overall, service was great. They are always so kind and quick with getting everything prepared. 10/10.

Ordered online and paid $50 for these tiny boneless chicken. Called and was told they couldn't give me a refund but would offer a 50% discount on wings next time. I mean look at the quantity too.

We've been ordering the same thing from different bonchon locations coz we love the soy garlic chicken wings but this location doesn't taste good. Chicken and the sauce ratio is not good. I went back to ask if it's soy garlic flavor coz it doesn't taste the same. The texture was soggy too. The person was good though

Wow wow wow. Let me tell you this place was delicious! My fiancé and I came here after seeing many good reviews on TikTok. We ordered 10 drumsticks. Five of them were soy garlic and five of them were hot. They come with complementary pickled radishes. OK this place is kind of pricey. I paid like almost $30 with tax for 10 drumsticks. But, the flavor was outstanding. The soy garlic was so delicious and tasty, it was a flavor I have not seen many places. The chicken was extremely crispy and crunchy, but juicy inside. My fiancé was obsessed with the spicy flavor. 1000% recommend!

I'm loving the mainstream abundance of Korean Fried Chicken these days. There was a time when you couldn't find a halfway decent KFC spot in Chicago, let alone a suburb like Schaumburg. Then, when Bonchon first arrived in Chicago they only had the Chinatown location. Back then, I was ecstatic to find out I could get it delivered from Chinatown to my office via Chowbus. Now, not only is Bonchon in the area, but there are also multiple options to choose from with bb.q Chicken and Kogii Kogii also nearby. I'm merely minutes away from some delicious Korean fried chicken whenever I get the crave. There's just something about Korean chicken wings that put them on another level for me. They just have that awesome crunch from the thin outer shell but it's somehow super light and not at all greasy. That cornstarch and double frying really creates an amazing texture. The skin isn't heavily breaded or battered, and is very thin while at the same time they somehow achieve a light airiness between the skin and the meat that seemed to highlight the juiciness of the chicken. The flavor isn't generated from some heavy sauce that is tossed on the wing, but rather seems to just be baked right into the wing itself. Our go-to order is the half and half wings. The wings actually contain a mix of drumettes and wingettes and the "drums" listed on their menu are literally the full size drumsticks, so don't order the combo if you were expecting drumettes instead. Half and half consists of both the hot & spicy and soy garlic flavors. The hot and spicy definitely had a kick to it, but it's not that painful type of spicy. It was that flavorful type of savory spice that keeps you wanting more even though you're building up a sweat from eating it. The soy garlic was on the milder side from both a heat and flavor intensity perspective, but it had the nice balance of sweet and savory. For the sides we got the seasoned fries and the kimchi bacon fried rice. I was pretty surprised by how good the fries were. The fries were battered and seasoned, and came out hot and crispy. The kimchi fried rice was super moist and had a nice spicy umami flavor to it. The kimchi mixed in added a crunchy texture to the bite and the bacon provided some smokiness. It was just missing a fried egg on top, which would've completed the dish. Overall, I think Bonchon is best Korean wing in the area. It's easy to doubt a chain restaurant, but it's just consistently delicious.

Bonchon has been here almost a year now and this was my first visit. We've wanted to try this for some time now but for some reason, we just never made it. So, after seeing a movie, we went out for some Korean Fried Chicken! There was a short wait to be seated. My only complaint about my visit was even though there was a wait, they had plenty of tables. But, when they seat parties of two, they move two tables together with four chairs leaving others to wait. I found that odd. When we were seated (about a 10-minute wait so not too bad), we were given menus. It is very diverse. Yes, they are known for their chicken, but they have more traditional Korean and Korean-American dishes. We went there for the chicken, so we got the chicken - an order of 10 sweet and crispy tenders, slaw, fries, and kimchi. Going backward - the kimchi was very good. Sour, spicy, crunchy, all of the things you love (or hate) about it. The fries were served Belgian style (see my picture). I didn't have any of the slaw, but there was much more chicken than either of us expected. When we first saw the prices, I thought they were a little high. But 10 nuggets are probably four meals for me. So, the fries were served in a paper waffle cone, as I said - Belgian style. They were crisp and hot - right out of the fryer. But, they were not greasy. I can't speak to the slaw but my wife was very happy with it. But, the chicken was outstanding. It was sweet, and I think I was expecting a sweet-hot sauce, but it was very tasty. They did a great job of caramelizing the sauce so it was crisp as they described. The service was really good once we were seated. We must have gotten there at the busy time because, when we left, there was no wait and tables were available. Next time, I want to try the spicy sauce. I will most certainly be back.

Their soup spoons are basically ladles, and rightfully so. We love their Thai iced tea and every one of their "punches". They do have banh mi, lemongrass chicken , grilled pork chop, and more. The search continues…read more I still have not found "the one" I can rely on in the Chicagoland area. I say "Chicagoland" loosely, since it's only been 10 months since I've moved into the area, and I'm mainly trying to nail down a spot that I can rely on in northwest suburbs area. The thing is, there are plenty of decent Vietnamese restaurants. Maybe some above average. But I'm finding out that it's very difficult to find one that can give you the "wholeness," per se. Especially once you've had one and set the bar there. Mine happens to have come from an old, grumpy couple who have since retired and no longer serving their amazing home-style cooking. As for Pho Lover, my family ordered one pho and one pork chop. I opted to try the advertised "combo," which in retrospect I should have skipped. It's just a bowl of pho, a couple eggrolls and a pop for a couple bucks less. Considering I normally would not have ordered the eggrolls or a pop, I immediately regretted it. The option for pho was either the House Special pho or the rare steak pho. I asked to see if I can substitute rare steak with brisket only and they said it was fine. Only, I ended up with a rare steak version anyway. They apologized and I decided not to make a fuss out of it, even though I don't normally like the way rare steak become tough to chew once it's fully cooked in broth. It was no exception this time. Noodles were cooked fine. Perfectly average. Broth was fine. Perfectly average. All the usual toppings were on the skimpy side, which I didn't like. I asked for some extra onion and cilantro, but I never ended up getting them. The porkchop dish was very underwhelming. Meat still had strong boar taint, which to some is a feature, not a bug. Not for my family. Even besides the odor, everything was once again, perfectly average. I can't say I'll go back. Life is too short for average meals.

We sat down and ordered 2 entrees almost immediately and were left waiting over 45 minutes for our food, apparently due to a special event. It felt like the kitchen and waitstaff could have balanced the demands of the two spaces better Food reviews: -Beef sizzling rice: nice savory dish overall and would order again. Beef was the only major let down as it was particularly chewy. I also wish there was more texture contrast from the hot pot, but as the diner you had to stir fairly frequently to incorporate the plain white rice the dish was sitting on, which impacted the ability to develop a crispy rice bottom -Ramen: husband liked the flavor and all the individual elements. His only comment was that the portion was a bit small for the price, and some elements were sparse

This was my third time here and Jokbal Night Market does not disappoint…read more Although their jokbal is also quite good, my favorite thing to eat here by far is their siraegi gamjatang. It is full of flavor that will make your body feel whole and it has a healthy portion of meat that falls off the bone. It is honestly one of if not the best gamjatang I've had in the Chicagoland area. The experience runs smoothly with servers who do a good job checking in on you periodically to see if there is anything you need. The space is a clean, quiet atmosphere that can accommodate groups of all sizes.

I got the half original and half spicy Jokbal, which was actually packed to the brim (which explains the $58 pricing). The spicy was SO much more spicy than any of us thought, and I was downing cups and cups of water. Some bites were less spicy, but some were super spicy depending on where the sauce landed. The flavors were absolutely immaculate!! Shoutout to the waiter who kept refilling our tea and water. The jangban jjolmyeon was sweet and tangy with a bit of spice, and I loved how much veggie it came with. Lowkey so fun to mix with gloves! Kimchi pancake with cheese and bacon ate down!! I was never a fan of this before, but adding cheese to it changed the whole game!! Prob my fav dish here! Rice ball in seaweed flakes was super classic! Lots of seating for large groups, and huge parking lot!
