This was our first visit... and what a confusing one it was. We ate inside and then placed a to-go order. We really wanted to try a little of everything so to speak , but its extremely expensive so we decided to get the smallest order of chicken tenders. We asked for sauces on the side, willing to pay ,but we were told they don't serve the sauce on the side??? After MUCH debate she agreed to at least let my hubby have his chicken plain ( even though she said they don't do that either) We ordered a few sides but they aren't even worth reviewing. However...the chicken and that spicy sauce were amazing!!! Why oh why won't they let you purchase the sauce on the side??????? Ok on to the to go order... The family meal was ordered for someone else so I personally cannot speak to the taste. They said it was good but also said it was double the price it should be...yes DOUBLE! ALMOST $50 to feed 3 people and they don't allow you to pick more than ONE side of PLAIN fried rice as your 2 side choices.. Really??? Wow! What a gem at the Promenade Mall. Service was fast and friendly and the Korean fried chicken was amazing and very tasty! If you don't like spicy or the soy flavors, ask for Sweet Chili. That's not on the list. The chicken was fried to perfection and I recommend pairing it with rice. I did seasoned fries which were good but I should have gone with steamed rice. This location is my least favorite of all locations. While the chicken is crunchy; it is not as crunchy as other locations. It's good to get half and half with the chicken; you are able to taste both sauces- they are good! The shrimp shumai is good, it has a drizzle of honey mustard which is different, but good. Out the gate, this review is a result of poor sanitary practice by the wait staff. Prior to being seated for dine-in, I went to the restroom, to which one of the staffers just so happened to use it at the same time. Afterwards, while I was washing my hands, the staffer darted out the bathroom and was back in action like that just didn't happen. That raised major concerns out the gate, and that should've been my cue to exit immediately, but I stuck around not thinking this situation would come full circle. You guessed it: that same employee who didn't wash his hands after using the restroom was my server, to which my repugnance was likely visible in my expression and body language. Instead of causing a stir, I just ordered water, and made my exit. This location is much roomier than the one in Chinatown, but that's about the only good thing I have to say about it. I wasn't in the mood for some 'yellow' chicken if you catch my drift. There are placards in every single restaurant saying that employees must wash their hands, even pre-pandemic, and that guy probably didn't think it would come down to this. Proceed at your own risk, but I wouldn't dare advise anyone else to step foot in a place that doesn't value the customer's health safety. read more

Had bad day at work so stopped in for takeout. The fries was ok.... nothing to speak of. The fried chicken strips were very very spicy.... my mouth was on fire and I could barely taste the soy ginger flavored strips I purchased. Went for Father's day after lunch time. It got busy after we got there so we were just in time. My son got the chicken fried rice and it was good. My wife got the Korean Street tacos. Way too hot to enjoy! I ordered some chicken wings and legs with fries. The server said the spicy chicken was hot so I just got a couple pieces of that and the rest soy garlic. He was right, the hot was too spicy and the soy garlic was a little to sweet for my taste. Would I go back? Probably not but that's just me. Okay I know Bonchon is a chain but the food is just so ridiculously good, it felt right to review it! We've ordered from here countless times via GrubHub and they get our order right every time. Their fried chicken is unreal good - I get either drums or strips and they're perfect every time. How do they make them both saucy and crunchy?! It defies physics. Their potstickers are amazing, their coleslaw is great. My husband is obsessed with their chicken katsu and their shrimp shumai. The only thing I've tried that I didn't love was the pork buns BUT that's only because the spicy Mayo is insanely spicy (for my poor gentle palette, at least). I'd definitely get them again without the Mayo to enjoy the crazy soft texture of the bun. If you're looking for something delicious that's a step up from Panda and a step over from the typical carry out pizza chains, try Bonchon, you won't be disappointed! read more

I'm okay on Bonchon but my wife likes it more so I'd probably average it to 3.5 stars. Service is always efficient and fast, also like the robot they use to deliver the food. The wings are good, though spicy is "too spicy" for me, I go for the soy garlic. Their chicken katsu is also very good. The bi-bim-bop type bowls are okay, same with their spicy chicken dish (it's just odd). I've pretty much tried everything there and typically favor the katsu. Their kimchi slaw is decent as well. Not many competing choices in our area so we end up coming back a bit. read more

First of all, I ordered boneless wings. A side is included with my order. They have 12 sides but you only get to choose from pickled radish or coleslaw. Yuk! They won't let you substitute any other side (even a smaller serving). I won't ever eat one of those so I didn't have any choice but to skip the side. The boneless wings are more like processed and formed chicken nuggets. They are round, mostly, and are NOT real pieces of chicken. Now to the sauce... I asked for the spicy sauce. Most of my nuggets didn't have any sauce on them! Look, if you're gonna put sauce on chicken, at least make it look like your menu photo which shows the entire piece of chicken covered with sauce.
