On top of all this, the food was absolutely delicious! During the planning process, Jim was kind and accommodating - all in all, a delight to work with. In addition to phone calls and emails, he came out to our venue multiple times to ensure that a plan was in place and that all city requirements were met. The only area which could have been improved was speeding up throughput through the buffet by making it double-sided. However, with the otherwise exceptional service from Jim and his team as well as the fantastic food, they are very deserving of a 5-star rating!

We felt like it really demonstrated that you can have a 100% plant-based menu at an event and have it be crowd-pleasing. Thank you for everything, Forklift! We'd love to work with you again.

They were always available to address any question or concern and were so adaptable to every plan change (down to just days before the event). The catering staff and chef produced and provided great food that were the highlight of the event; I heard from everyone how much they enjoyed it (even had some on-call colleagues who gladly answered our calls because they knew they were going to be fed great food during their shift). Forklift is a top recommendation for any high-caliber catered event you might need.

Falafel Wrap: First time trying falafel wraps. Falafels are supposedly fried hummus balls, but these didn't look fried or like balls; they were probably just lightly pan-fried and a bit clumpy. The hummus was smooth and creamy, with a noticeable hummus flavor. As a vegetarian option, despite the refreshing carrots, lettuce, and cucumber, it was a bit dry without any sauce.

The mozzarella cheese balls were rich and creamy, slightly chewy, and I couldn't stop eating them. However, the hummus was excessively salty. Charcuterie Platter: The salami and capicola were rich in fat but incredibly salty. The pepper ham was tender and had a strong smoky flavor with a slightly spicy aftertaste. I personally preferred the latter. Hot Brie Rasp Almond Fillo: This was my first time trying it. Because it had been out for too long, the crust was a bit dry and hard, but the filling still had a rich, sweet berry flavor. Hot Spring Roll Vegetable with Sauce: A colleague who likes spring rolls said it was pretty good, but it looked too dry and hard, so I didn't try it.

Not sure if it was a mistake or intentional, but either way I don't think it should have been in there.

http://cateringtoyou.net/…read more I recently helped with a small 50-person meeting reception and used Catering to You for the decor, food and drinks. Cindy and her staff arrived plenty of time before the event to setup tables and decor. Cindy did an amazing centerpiece (Mocha colored roses? inside a vintage birdcage!) which matched with the gorgeous table cloth color. She provided an awesome spread of food (veggie platter-came with asparagus!, cocktail shrimps, cheeses, crackers, **super yummy garlic flavored baguette**, pasta salad and much more). Staff did a great job refilling food as they were running low, which made it felt like we had unlimited about of shrimps :) And plenty of drinks to go around. Cindy was friendly and funny to talk to. She has great ideas about planning events and locations suggestions. Price is very reasonable for the amount of food that was provided. I am looking forward to work with Cindy again at other events!

I cannot say enough good things about the amazing job Cindy did in our special day! She was very easy to work with, punctual, thoughtful, and professional! The food was really wonderful. We got so many positive comments about the food which is rare for a wedding with 150 guests! Usually wedding food is bland and dry but all of the tenderloins and chicken were cooked perfectly! They did a great job dealing with any issues that came up through the evening such as guests who forgot what they ordered and so on! She brought a bar tending team as well who were tips certified and they were really on top of things throughout the night. They even managed to gauge the amount of alcohol needed to be put on ice which was nice since everything not iced at the end of the night we could return to our alcohol distributor for a refund! Cindy took care of so many little and big details and had a lot of great suggestions which made my DIY wedding so much less stressful such as ordering the glasses and dishes as well as renting ovens needed for the venue since my venue didn't have one! I was also so surprised the next morning when I went back to the venue to clean and found that Cindy ad her team even cleaned up a bunch of our decorations! The venue itself looked great and her team did a good job with furniture arrangements and place settings, everything looked amazing. Overall I would highly recommend catering to you for any event! They went above and beyond!

Well in just a couple hours we were able to cover SO much ground. From making a delicious salsa and homemade chips, to a steak and a chicken, even farro with caramelized onions. Not only did I learn tons of REALLY helpful skills that I've already been implementing, but I had delicious food that lasted me for a handful of meals THAT I HELPED MAKE! They brought all their own ingredients and left my kitchen completely spotless (possibly cleaner than how they found it) I am so thankful to these two and I look forward to our next lessons.

Neither of us really knew what a personal chef service looked like. We love cooking but we didn't/don't have time during the week to cook. We hoped we'd get more vegetables into our diet at a minimum. That not eating out would mean less of the white devils (sugar, salt). I reached out to The Skinny Beet in a frenetic and desperate state last December. Since they've entered our lives the sun is shining, the clouds have parted and Mondays are happy (re: they are miracle workers). We have been a weekly client with The Skinny Beet for almost 3 months now. At the end of 1 month we reached out to them and shared a list of each positive benefit directly or indirectly related to hiring them as personal chefs. I would like to share this list with you (reader of my review): 1. My husband and I spend more time together. 2. We portion control better. 3. We work out more (have time to work out). 4. We feel better: less groggy, less irritable, more energy. 5. The food they make tastes flavorful, wholesome and satisfying. We get to eat our favorite cuisines with less of the sugar/salt and more grain/vegetable variety than what we know how to cook. 6. We waste less. 7. The brain space we wasted thinking about what to eat, what to cook, when to go pick things up, crap-I-forgot-an-ingredient --- Poof! Gone. Which, working full time while part time grad school, any and all brain space I can allocate to my work is priceless for me. From Week One: Flexibility with schedule and menu planning was made easy for us - We come home and our kitchen tools and pans lovingly (and somewhat expensively) acquired over time are clean - There are delicious dishes made with quality ingredients ready for devouring in the fridge. We are so grateful for the difference The Skinny Beet has made in our quality of life. Seriously, I wasn't kidding: Miracle Workers.
