I dined with a group of 6 here after a day of sightseeing in Paris, and getting off the train at…read morethe Val d'Europe stop. My group had never had Korean BBQ so it was a new adventure for some of us. It was also a nice break from the French cuisine of breads and french fries. The restaurant is quiet, with a nice, clean restroom (just one so wait your turn if the door is locked). We called and made a reservation about one hour prior with no problems, however the restaurant didn't seem very full around 7:30pm on a Friday so you could take your chance and walk in without one, The menu is presented on an iPad, however you don't actually order from the iPad (I tried sending my order and nothing happened). We started with two orders of dumplings and the kimchi pancake. The dumplings were good with lots of flavor, but the kimchi pancake didn't really taste like kimchi, but just some fried bread. For the main entree we had the BBQ bulgogi and the grilled shrimp. I would highly recommend the BBQ but might not recommend the shrimp, as it was rather bland and tasted just like grilled shrimp you might make for yourself. The BBQ bulgogi had a lot of nice flavors and was very tender. Some others in our group ordered the hot pot bowls and were quite pleased with their orders. We were also brought a wide variety of vegetables in small bowls to share and start with, as is standard at a Korean BBQ restaurant. Overall I was pleased with Shinla Galbi, and would recommend trying them if you are looking for something a little different than French cuisine.

Cozy commodious ~ modest modern decor with a newness & clean comfort. The soft gold metal dinnerware that gave the ambience an added touch. Corean craft ~ hard to find biere from the motherland not usually found in other Korean restaurants. Both are tasty pairings with everything. #5. Kimchi stir-fried pork with sautéed kimchi & fresh tofu was yummy ~ spiced just right, subtle amount of pork to give the kimchee delish flavor. #24 DOENJANC JICAE ~ light, not overly fermented or salted, came out piping hot perfect. #14 Marinated Beef Rib ~ tender cut pre lengthened with bone on end. Faint marinaded quality meat. Tasty. Banchan ~ fresh assortment and more than happy to refill any favorites. New grilling tables had excellent smoke removal technology without the loud vacuuming noise. Touch tap easy to adjust the temperature to your liking. Too full for dessert from the scrumptious dinner, the complimentary Gilbert chew was just right. We appreciated the monsieur asking if we are enjoying ourselves throughout the dinner & acknowledged us leaving with a spirited thank you and to please come back again. Nothing but pleased satisfaction from Misa! Highly recommend.

Same water jar, similar cups, and plates/cutlery. Interior design and setup felt just like any other dimly lit spot too. Service felt all the same too - good and efficient.

The only negative about this restaurant is that it was really warm, so warm that we didn't stay for dessert. The food was excellent. We shared bibimbap and bulgogi. Both were really good. To our surprise, the food was brought out within minutes of ordering. We also ordered the excellent banchan. This was wqshed down with some cold soju. The prices weee really reasonable. Jantchi is very similar to the kins of Korean food that we get in NY, but less expensive and a bit faster paced. If you are tired of French food, it's worth a shot.

We probably checked five other Korean restaurants before settling on Jantchi. The restaurant quickly became busy during lunch. However, service was quick and I got my much needed soft tofu soup (soondubu) with the accompanying side dishes in a timely manner. I ordered the lunch soondubu, which was as expected, a bit watered down, but still hit the spot with the sesame oil flavor I was craving for. The egg is already cracked into the soup, which is not as hot as I'm used to. My boyfriend ordered the bibimbap, which came out in the stone pot and was pretty tasty ! We doubled down on the gochujang, and it was enough to keep our Korean cravings at bay for the remaining trip.
