Had a bad dye job that needed fixing. I called at 9am, they got me a colorist at 10, and three hours later I walked out feeling amazing. I told Tara to use her judgement to fix the color - any shade would be fine - and gave her no direction other than that. Tara was friendly, professional, and skilled. She gave me a quick consult, asked knowledgeable questions, and then took the reins from there to do the fix. My husband LOVES it and I do too! read more

I went in with virgin hair with no natural gray. I requested balayage with some brighter parts around the face and no bleach on the roots at all. Instead I got a full head of foil highlights that left me with chunky orange and gray stripes from root to tip. The temples are straight silver blue and look exactly like natural grey streaks. I also asked for a face framing layered cut, but ended up with a bi-level chop that took literally 60 seconds. I paid $250 plus tip but did not ask them to stay in that budget, that's just what they charged, so this wasn't from me being too cheap for a quality service. The only thing nice I can say is that they did a great job styling my natural curls, which is why I didn't take in the full extent of the bad highlights until I got home. I don't know if they'd be responsive to feedback. I have not asked for them to fix it because frankly my hair is already crispy and I'm afraid to let them touch it again. I have gone through years of getting nightmare haircuts and strongly despising getting my hair cut, but I recently tried Bombshells, specially requesting Bethany, and I cannot say enough good things!!! She had made me LOVE my hair during and after my appointment. I have thin fine hair, and it was so refreshing to find somebody that understands how to cut it without it looking like a hacksaw went through it. I went home LOVING my hair then woke up this morning still loving it (we all know the times we cry after cutting several inches off, and this was not the case this time). Got a haircut the other day at Bombshell but I promise if I had known how much it would be before I walked in I would have never walked in. I understand hair service is not cheap now a days but I would have never sat my butt in that chair had I know I was going to walk out paying $75 for a hair cut. A HAIR CUT! I'm not complaining about the service. The lady who cut my hair was super sweet, the shampoo was lovely, she took her time drying my hair but I was just very taken back by the price. I realize that their services brochure online says to ask about pricing before your services but I feel like that is tacky, and could make for an extremely uncomfortable situation. Especially if I had chosen to walk away. I feel like their pricing is a little on the step side. read more

Hunter is the best stylist I've ever had lay hands on my hair! He's brilliant with curly hair and has a great eye for color, and I've never felt like I needed to "grow into" any cut he has given me. I made a post on Facebook yesterday looking for someone to highlight my blonde hair after multiple stylists have messed it up. All sorts of people got tagged, and someone from Bombshells reacted out to me. I stated how someone from Bombshells royally messed my hair up and then treated me poorly after, and they replied on the post that they felt awful about my experience, how they have fired a lot of people, and would love the opportunity to redeem themselves - to show they're a "five star salon" and "make it right". They asked my name in the system, and when I replied with my name and who my stylist was, they deleted all their comments from my post...aka their offer. Not that I would've everrrr returned to a place who treated me so badly when I had returned the day after my appt to discuss them fixing my hair, (which they didn't) but I'm just shaking my head at how I've had yet another tacky customer service interaction from this establishment. So. Since they wanted to know what went wrong at my first appointment and apparently forgot who I am, here's a reminder to whoever contacted me from the salon, of what Bri did to my hair during a "full highlight" about 9 months ago. Awful hair service and horrible customer service afterwards, which I just got a nice refresher of. I should've read the yelp reviews first, I wouldn't have ever gone there. read more

Michelle worked me in today and is my new hero!! After a really bad color job at a different salon I needed help ...and fast. She solved the issue with very dark color that was stark black and took me back to a more natural color and much easier on the eyes. I highly recommend her! read more

The first time I sent my daughter there she received a partial highlight for $75. Perfect. The second time she went (8 weeks later) the stylist she had previously seen was unavailable so the receptionist suggested a different one. My bill this time was $200. Unbelievable. We will never go back to Bombshells. Absolutely ridiculous. I do not spend that much money on my own hair let alone a teenage girl. read more

I had an appointment booked for today (01/08/2021) at 2:15. They called me on Tuesday at 12:55pm to ask me if I could do Thursday instead. I told them no due to work schedule, so I confirmed that I had the appointment today. I had my hair colored by Bethany in mid-Nov. After she applied color (about 15 minutes in close proximity), she told me she was leaving to get a COVID test since her mom (the salon owner) was sick and also being tested. I was never informed that both she and her mom tested positive; i found out by chance. I'm appalled that i was not informed so i could take the necessary precautions, especially since i care for my 93 year old mother. Her attitude was very condescending "sorry for the inconvenience" when it could have been a life or death situation. To not inform your client that was in your chair when you tested positive is a breach of professional and human responsibility. read more

Love, Love, LOVE Bombshells! It is a beautiful, full service salon. Yes, it is pricier than some, but I promise you, it is worth every penny. Having relocated to the area, about a year and a half ago, finding someone to do my hair was a bit intimidating (I have naturally curly, sometimes difficult hair). Went here last week and was with Carrie. She was GREAT! Had an amazing experience and my hair looks great. She actually listened to what I wanted with my hair and achieved that. Very very pleased. My reason for 4 stars is because of the price...their website says that a haircut "starts at" $40. I was charged $55 for just a shampoo/condition, cut, & dry (no styling). I'm not sure if it was the shampooing or the blow drying that tacked an extra $15 on there, but I was prepared to pay $50 with a tip, not $55 before tipping. I will certainly be returning because Carrie was THAT good, but I'm going to ask next time how to keep the $40 advertised price from rising. read more

Okay, WHAT?!!? I just moved to Murfreesboro this past Saturday. One week to inbox, and I needed to take a break, get my hair did and look civilized after over a year and a half of unemployment and letting myself go. I yelped this place, and am I sooooo happy I did!! Hunter did my hair, he had me in his chair at 1 minute before my appointment. He let me enjoy that hair wash and head massage with out saying one word. I guess sometimes I feel compelled to talk, because my past experiences at salons, the hair dresser talks to you to make you feel comfortable. But wow, he must have read my vibes, all I wanted was to be pampered for 10 mins after a 4 day cross country drive with crazy kids and a dog that ready to jump out of the van. Meanwhile following behind our Penske the whole way through!! My hair was way past over so...cut and color! With my limited time today, he just cut it, but my follow up, he's going to color and high light it. I can't wait to see the magic unfold. He was incredible!! ASK FOR HUNTER!!! Had an appointment with Carrie for a textured shoulder length bob. Had to go back to get her to fix the wonky "layers" ( it was really one heavy layer on top) and told her I wanted it thinned out. Walked out with A LOT less length than I walked in with the night before (it's now to my chin). Felt like Monica asking for the Demi cut and walked away with the Dudley cut. Carrie is a nice girl but if you want layers see someone else. So disappointed. Waste of 55$. Now I remember why I drive to my hometown in VA to see my stylist. read more

I am in town to help with my Father who is currently in the Hospital. The hotel that I am at is nice but there is not enough water pressure for me to wash my very long hair. I was able to get an appointment yesterday with Missy. She was very kind, professional and put me at ease. She gave me a nice shampoo, conditioner, products and an amazing Blow-out/blow-dry with Style. My hair is refreshed and ready for the next couple of days while I complete my tasks here in town. Thank you so much Missy and also to the Sweet Receptionist that got me in. I'll definitely return here the next time I am in town. The Salon is VERY CLEAN and has nice, relaxing Decor. I really wanted to love it here--and it was almost kinda close. I chose Bombshell because of the positive Yelp ratings and the reasonable pricing for what I wanted--cut, starting at $28, and single process color, starting at $39. (I wasn't 100% sure the difference between single and double process but when I made the appointment I asked the girl if, since I was just getting a bleach out, was that single process. She told me yes.) Okay, so knowing that minimum I could have expected was $67. And knowing that my cut wasn't super simple, I expected it to be higher, but when I got to the register I was shocked. It was $122, just about DOUBLE the listed prices. My stylist did not discuss pricing. I did not get an itemized receipt. Maybe I should have asked at the register, but who wants to look cheep and poor in front of a number of other people who were waiting in line and buzzing around? And I was pretty happy with the cut and color. However, after getting home I realized that my hair was orange at the roots with 3 distinct bands of color. I like the cut and after using violet shampoo the color is ok. I waited a while to post this because I gave "how was your experience" survey feedback right away and never received a reply. So Yelp it is. Bottom line, if you're not sure what it costs, ask. read more

Updating my previous praises of this salon: I have been a loyal customer at Bombshells since I moved from Chattanooga to Murfreesboro. Brittany Catt is my usual stylist, and she does a good job - even if she seems a little judgey. However, this last visit completely threw me off of going there. I called ahead and set up an appointment and asked for a time allowance since I really wasn't sure what I wanted yet, but definitely told them I'd want a cut and color. Fast forward to my appointment. I get there and check in, and the lady at the front desk tells me there might be a problem. Brittany comes over to my where I'm sitting -in the waiting room, in front of other waiting customers (!!!!!!!!!!)- and starts rummaging through my hair like I'm a chimpanzee and asking me what I want cut/color wise and then when I show her what I want, she essentially tells me that what color I'm explaining to her that I want is wrong. She then proceeds to walk away from me and rush me over to the counter. I am completely at a loss for words with how I'm being treated at this point. Then she tells me they only booked me for a 30 minute session and can't accommodate me. So I leave completely frenzied because I have an event to go to and no one to style my hair. Poor service, unbelievable and inexcusable. Won't be back. Ever. read more

My hairdresser was very friendly and talkative, as well as eager to please when I requested water. However, she did not dye my hair the bright red I requested. The hair cut was very cute though, but the color was not what I asked for. Make sure to be explict about what tone you want your hair done in. Great experience all around. I was able to get in a week after I called- which is about 3 weeks sooner than the place I tried before. Was told my service(full head of highlights) was going to be at least )$120 and I paid $125- last place was over $200 for same service. Gina did my hair and was amazing. I've been seeing the same hairstylist for over 20 years and I was reluctant to use the certificate for styling but I did anyway. I am so happy I did. It was the best cut I've had in years. I've found a new stylist :) I used the remainder for spa services and I fell asleep during the facial-which is what is supposed to happen when it's really tranquil. I had my first appointment with Tina yesterday and it was a great experience. I was greeted as soon as I walked in. She took me right back and really listened to what I wanted. I had several questions because I was trying a new color for the first time. She let me take my time explaining exactly what I wanted and I did not feel rushed at all. I love my hair. The cut and color are exactly what I asked for. Everyone that I encountered was friendly and really seemed to enjoy their job. Called about their massage services. over the phone they were very pleasant to speak with.. But I don't think their massages are as medically oriented as I need. such as what I need. It is my understanding this place is more of the luxury day spa to get pampered. As a client with scoliosis, I'm starting to think that one is S.O.L in Murfreesboro unless u are a male looking for some extra happiness. (This place did not offer that)! In Michigan massage was a medical profession. Here in TN it seems it's either a pamper me princess thing or a hooker thing. read more
