I may be biased, but my hair and makeup duo was more incredible than I could have ever imagined! Amanda (@bombshell.amanda) my make up artist and Chelsea (@blondnblush_bombshell) my hair artist went above and beyond to make sure I felt my best and looked incredible. Even when I swapped my hair style from my trial, it was a non issue and Chelsea was able to flawlessly execute my hair, exactly how I envisioned. Amanda played up my features and had my makeup looking like total perfection, lasting the entire evening with zero touch ups required. The two of them worked perfectly together and on each of my girls, including my mother and mother in law, bringing each girls vision to life. The bombshell girls did my hair and makeup for my wedding. The whole thing was pretty unprofessional. Scheduled them months in advance and kept trying to call to do the trial run and finally 3 days before my wedding Elisa called me back. We set up the trial the day of my rehearsal dinner. Unreal. Then they wouldn't come to the hotel the day of the wedding unless I had 4 girls and it was just a mess. Elisa called me on my wedding day fighting with me on the phone about how much time the girls had to do makeup. Just unorganized and very expensive for what they do. I recommend another group of girls to do your hair and makeup, because they definitely didn't make me feel like a "princess". read more

Elizabeth and her crew were phenomenal !!! They did hair & makeup for my daughter's wedding a few weeks ago. She had a rather large bridal party including myself, the bride's mother. - 13 makeovers in all. The crew showed up promptly, equipped with everything. They were very nice and very professional. Each worked patiently and efficiently with everyone in the bridal party to achieve the desired result. When one of the girls didn't feel comfortable after sitting a while with her hair in an up-do, it was changed with no hassle. And everyone had fun. No one looked overdone, underdone or unnatural. As for myself, I felt like I was a beautiful princess!!! My daughter, the bride, was gorgeous! And utterly pleased !! As was my new son-in-law!!! Unfortunately my experience was not like others have described their experiences in previous reviews. I selected Bombshell Makeovers for all of my hair and makeup needs for my wedding day after a successful trial with two of their artists. However, I quickly noticed how unorganized the company actually is. They communicate through text messaging which is fine however, I was always contacted from a different number and person. One artist would call to confirm how bridesmaids were doing hair and makeup, and the next week another artist would call asking me the same question. There was no consistency. I texted the artist Melissa one last time a few days before my wedding to give a final count of all my bridesmaids and flower girls doing their hair and makeup the day of my wedding. The artist confirmed. I was sent a picture of a contract stating I would have 3 artists from 10 a.m.- 4 p.m.. The day of my wedding they showed up to the hotel room 30 minutes early. I was in the shower so they had to wait 5 minutes at my door before I could let them in. They immediately had attitudes with me. My bridesmaids began to arrive and the three makeup artists seemed very annoyed. They assured me I would be last for my hair and makeup because I was the bride. The makeup artist was so impatient and in such a rush to leave (even though our contract was until 4 p.m.) that she began doing my makeup at 11 a.m. for my 7 p.m. wedding! They made my bridesmaids and I feel very uncomfortable and rushed through the whole process. I was told by the owner that the bride would be spoiled the day of her wedding with neck and hand massages. I was also told we would all be given "body bling" which according to them is a body shimmer lotion that looks great in pictures. None of that happened. When my flower girls arrived for hair and makeup one artist told the other that she didn't bring anything to do little girls makeup because I didn't have flower girls on my contract. This artist was the one I confirmed my final count with!! My maid of honor noticed that her updo was falling not too long after her hair was done and asked the hair stylist if she could hair spray her hair a little more so it would last (again it was still early in the day) the stylist replied "well if you'd quit touching your hair we wouldn't have a problem!" Extremely rude. Our photographer Arrived around 2 p.m. and wanted to get some pictures of us getting ready. He asked the artists if they could touch up my hair and makeup for pictures. They signed and rolled their eyes. The photographer then took my bridesmaids and I to the hotel terrace for some pictures. When we returned to my hotel room at 2:30 all three artists were gone. They packed up and left. I texted the artist Melissa asking were they went. I had a contract with them until 4 p.m.. A family member who was still in the room when they left overheard their conversation and the artists were going to do hair and makeup for other clients staying in the same hotel. When I confronted Melissa about this she said they already left the hotel. Without saying goodbye and before their contract time was up. Two weeks later I received a text asking if I would kindly write a 5 Star review on Bombshell Makeovers and their artists Molly, Melissa, and Alexa. I was also blocked from submitting this review on The Knot. read more

I was Maid of Honor at my friends wedding recently and she hired Bombshell Makeovers to do all of our hair and makeup. No complaints about the makeup, however, Molly, the hair stylist did a very poor job on all of the girls' hair. The bride was getting an updo with a braid on the side, which she had trialed previously. Molly almost forgot all about the braid and had to be reminded. Thankfully, the bride's hair looked great after we touched it up. The bridesmaids all got a half up, half down hair style. I went 4th (out of 5 girls) and I showed Molly what hairstyle I wanted. The hair style involved hair being braided on the sides and the rest down. The braid that Molly gave me was just a regular three-strand braid, and not the braid type that I showed her. She pinned the two braid at the back of the head and curled the rest of the hair. The issue was that most of the pins were not securely placed. Additionally, in the back of my hair you could see every pin and rubber band in random places. The curls in the rest of the hair did not hold for more than two hours which was way before the wedding even started. All 5 bridesmaids, including myself, had to get our hair re-curled by our friend who thankfully brought her curling wand, after Molly left because our hair looked really frizzy and was no longer curled. While Molly was still with us, I had to request that she re-pin different parts of my hair three times. Some of the other girls also had pins falling off just from walking and moving around the hotel room. At the end of hair and makeup, Molly was also very rude regarding her tip. As a reminder, a tip is earned and not an obligation. Each bridesmaid paid a tip and Molly rudely kept saying she was still missing money from one of us and she kept counting the tip in front of us. Throughout doing our hair Molly was also consistently taking phone calls to talk about other clients and how much she should charge them. I thought that was unprofessional. read more

If you want to look like a celebrity on your wedding day- look no further! I was referred to Bombshell Makeovers by a friend who said she has been in 10+ weddings and had never seen better hair/makeup. If that wasn't enough to get me interested, what would be? I looked them up on Instagram and she was right- these brides all looked beyond stunning- as if they were right out of a magazine! Some even had before/after photos, which really showed off the quality of their work. I called the owner Elisa, who walked me through the whole process, explaining everything they offered in detail. She asked me specifics about my wedding style, dress, etc. so that she could truly understand what kind of look I was going for. I set up a hair and makeup trial for the morning of my engagement photoshoot in Miami, so I could see how the hair/makeup would last throughout the day and how it would show up in photos. Melissa came over to my house and "Bombshelled" me- I was beyond happy with her work, and the photos turned out amazing! The hair (curls)/makeup lasted all day and throughout the night. A few months later, it was time for the big day, and Alexa and Jenny came out to Islamorada for my wedding day. I almost started crying when I saw my hair/makeup- I felt like a princess and absolutely could not have asked for anything better! The only thing was that it was a windy day and my hair and all of my bridesmaids' hair was in curls, and an hour later they all fell to very loose waves, to completely straight a few hours later. I'd make sure to use extra hairspray if you're getting married in South Florida :) Elisa is such a sweet and caring owner, and really understands what brides are looking for on their wedding day. This is not a place where you have to walk them through every step of what you want- they just get it! I will be booking Bombshell Makeovers in the future for all of my special events, because I have never seen anything better and been taken care of the way they do! read more

AH-MAZING! These girls are truly talented. From the moment I contacted them Elisa put all my bridal fears to rest. They made me look and feel stunning! Right from the start at my trial I knew I selected the very best team for my wedding day. I had my wedding at the Addison in Boca Raton with a large 8 girl Bridal party, 2 flower girls and Mother's and Aunts! Every one in my bridal party could not stop talking about how talented/professional/and sweet the girls were. It was truly a blessing finding them...not only making me as a bride feel flawless but having all my girls around me feel stunning as well. The Bombshell team went above and beyond and I cannot stop gushing about them. They created three unique looks for my rehearsal dinner, ceremony and reception and all of them made me feel amazing. I have never felt so beautiful in my entire life. Elizabeth ran point on my big day and her talent is out of this world. She has the sweetest personality and really knows how to spoil a bride! (I wanted to take her home with us) Of course on the biggest day of your life this is important, needless to say my groom cried when he saw me walk down the aisle! Our make up lasted, our hair stayed perfectly in place, and we all looked like ourselves just better...flawless. Alexa and Sarah came out to my house to do my trial and I was blown away - I have never looked that good before in my life! The makeup and hair were absolutely flawless and they listened to what I wanted, what I didn't, and provided suggestions to make it all come together! The day of my wedding was nothing short of perfection - they showed up a little early and were setup before I made it to the venue. They did my hair, the MOH, my junior bridesmaid, and flower girl and we all looked amazing. They are truly two of the sweetest girls and really know what they are doing and how to do it well!! Everyone raved about how gorgeous all of us looked and I couldn't be happier with the end result. The service Alexa and Sarah provided the day of was amazing, same for the day of my trial. I could not agree more about how horrible this person was to deal with. It's been 4 years since that dreadful day and I have only horrible memories of my experience with this woman. She also promised us that she would be doing our makeup and hair me and my daughter for her bat mitzva. At the last minute she said one of her brides had changed her mind and that she had to go do that bride after we had contracted for her(and paid deposits) to do our hair and makeup. She said not too worry and she was sending the best. We had spent a fortune to have our affair at Ben Venuto in Boynton Beach. Her people showed up late, were unprofessional and were terrible. I have the photos to prove how awful the makeup job was. My complexion was orange and my neck , my regular color. It shows in all the facial shots where my head is turned to the side. The person who did the hair.. had no idea of what she was doing and when I asked her how long she had been doing hair, she replied she had just gotten out of beauty school. We lost our deposits and sent these girls packing. Maria at the catering facility called someone in last minute to at least do our hair. We missed the entire cocktail hour. Something we can never ever see again except on a video. I call Alisa and she said she would treat us to complimentary full hair and makeup sessions. I really did not want this but months later when my daughter entered pageantry, I thought to call her and give it a try. She never returned my phone call or email.Nuff said... I warn you.
