First of all, I am not someone who wears a lot of makeup and half of my bridal party doesn't either so when I was booking makeup for my wedding I was extremely nervous. With that being said WOWOW!! I don't even want to imagine how my wedding day would be if I did not have the Bombshell Makeover Team present. Seriously! They are amazing. The booking process was so easy and simple! And the results THE PHOTOS WILL SPEAK TO THAT! Pardon my excitement, but I am happy to rave about them! Maria and Melissa were present for my wedding day. I have actually used both of these ladies in the past to do my hair and make up for a family portrait, and upon having them there, right on the spot I said I needed them for my wedding day lol! Praise God they were both available as my notice to them was short! I did get married during COVID this year, so my wedding was very small. But the photos are PERFECT. My hair and make up PERFECT. The friendliest team ever! Including myself, there were 5 of us who had hair and make up done. They were on time, professional, and had everyone looking gorgeous! The ladies all loved how their hair & make up came out. I didn't get consent from the girls so I will only post my photos for now, until I speak with them and see if they are ok with my sharing of their photos. I am all PRO in this review, there are no CONS. I know several friends who have gotten married or hired professionals to have hair and make up done and were disappointed or had their curls unravel halfway through the day or eyelashes coming off mid ceremony. THAT WAS NOT MY EXPERIENCE! Not only did it last for the entire duration of the wedding day, it lasted the next day too (just for the record). I live in FL (obviously) and got married in September. It is hot, humid, and rainy. Not ideal for wedding season (but my hubby and I did not want to postpone another year before we were married). Hair and Make up started at 11am/12pm and the end of the day was about 1130pm. We were outside by 430PM and there until the end of night. So, if hair/makeup would frizz up, curls falling out, have smudged make up or a sweaty look, I would be the candidate. Again, that did not happen! Photos are shared below. I want to start out by saying their artists are phenomenal, professional, so kind and very talented. With that being said, my interactions with the owner were horribly unprofessional and stressful only two days before my wedding. I called multiple times in the two months leading up to my wedding trying to pay my bridal parties balance. I was repeatedly told that the owner would reach out. I then called and texted the assistant a week before to again be told she would reach out. She called two days before my wedding. She then had me very confusingly pay each artist and the company separately on Venmo and Zelle, I (like most people) have a Zelle limit so I was unable to pay the total that day. This was a call that lasted over an hour and a half, the last thing I wanted to be doing two days before my wedding. The limit left me with the stress of me having to finish all the Venmo's the day before while trying to ready everything for rehearsal and travel. So the day before while trying to call her to finish the payment at the time we agreed upon she didn't answer for two hours. Then called me back and said she originally had an appointment for after our call at 2:30 but decided to move it up to 2:15, without communicating to me that she wouldn't be available. I was extremely stressed that I was being ghosted by the vendor and went as far to reach out to the specific artists to confirm, most had their messages turned off, looking back I'm thinking this must happen to them often due to poor communication of the owner. She repeatedly made it seem like she was doing me a favor by doing my wedding and how wonderful their company is which was true of the artist but the stress was not worth it. No apologies for the missed call or the stress she was causing the day prior. Made it seem like I had waited too long to pay when I had been calling for two months. Then the night of my rehearsal dinner, she calls to tell me that one of my artists was sick (fine it happens). I told her that it was fine and I was at my rehearsal dinner, she kept me on the phone for over 20 min during my rehearsal dinner explaining how great the new artist was. The new artist was great but there was no need to stress me out further and make me miss a portion of my rehearsal dinner. The amount of anxiety I had the day prior to my wedding was uncalled for. The artist were professional and super talented but if you're looking for a stress free company, this is not it. I wrote this review on the knot and wedding wire yesterday. She called me back this afternoon, she may have had a better review if I had that communication prior to my wedding day. I was told vendors can pay for their bad reviews to be removed/ report them to get removed so I decided to also add to yelp. I just want to start out by saying Elisa's (owner) stylists are absolutely amazing. I worked with Sarah and Angie and not only did I look and feel flawless, but they were a blast to hang out with. I wish i could write a separate review for them because I would give 5/5! Now for my review on Elisa.. WOAH. This lady has some serious serious issues. She will promise you the world and ask for more money every day starting 72 hours before your wedding. Elisa will call you every pet name in the book and tell you exactly what you want to hear. Be prepared for her not to answer your calls for weeks and then when she does answer ( I had to call from a different area code for her to answer) she will tell you some type of sob story and then talk in circles for 2 hours. Elisa was hands down my craziest/flakiest/most unprofessional vendor I had. If i had not spoken to the girls who did my hair and make up ( again they were amazing) then I would have not thought she was going to show. 24 hours before my wedding, I had no plan from Elisa, had not heard from her in a week, and she would not respond back to my wedding planner EVER (no really,not once). Then i get a phone call from her saying that the girls were upset with how much I was paying in gas. I did not choose the price or even give her a range, Elisa 100% picked the price. So I left the conversation reluctantly paying an extra 50$. Seriously? I'm paying travel and having 17 peoples hair and make up done and she's calling me over 50$? Elisa told me she spoke to my wedding venue for an hour and they were going to open up earlier for us. My venue had never spoken with her or had even heard of her. I finally got her to admit she was lying after things were all said and done. Now for another kicker. Elisa promised that all my girls would get touch ups included. I did not ask for this, it was offered and said it was part of me paying for a hotel (200$) and 250$ gas (3 hour drive away). The make up artists (true gems and were so amazing) said this was not true and for them to stay I had to pay an extra 200$ an hour. What? So when it was all said and done, I looked amazing and had the best time with the girls, but ended up paying over 1000$ for my makeup and half of that was sprung on me day of ( again Elisa's Fault) Elisa was so terrible to work with, I'm honestly in shock. I'm not saying to not use bombshell, I would just make sure you get your artists number during your trial because i can guarantee you that Elisa will be your worst vendor to deal with. read more

UPDATE on 3/15: I received a phone call from Elissa almost immediately after posting my review on Yelp and The Knot of her team's services on my wedding day. She left me a voicemail. When I called her back a few hours later after work, she never answered or responded. About two weeks later, I got an email from The Knot. My review posted to The Knot was flagged as "reported and requested to be removed" and I was given 48 hours to fulfill a verification process to PROVE that they were my hair and makeup team. I was completely offended and verified that they were in fact my team. Being accused of lying was a deplorable way to end this process with them. I wish I would've read all the other reviews on Yelp before I hired them. read more

Where to begin? To start, it's clear the business is unorganized. My number came up as my husband's name on their called ID so they kept calling me his name despite the fact I was told it was written in the contract 3 times. (The final contract still had his name, not mine). However, I pushed all this aside because I figured they were probably just busy. To do a trial, it was $200 which was already outrageous considering day of was $250, plus a $250 travel fee and expected 20% tip. But again, I bypassed this and skipped the trial. I then had a bridesmaid say she could do her hair on her own, and the owner non stop told me that for their "best" stylist to travel to me, she'd need at least 5 bridesmaids, and preferably 6. I asked for a different stylist who didn't have to travel far, and she said, "well why would you short yourself on your own wedding day? I mean you want the best of the best don't you?" I ended up getting enough people, and proceeded to wait for our wedding. While I will say, I loved my hair, my bridesmaids hated it. The stylists came to our hotel initially super friendly, until they had anything slightly inconvenience them. I showed them a messy yet classy bun, and they all came out so tight. My bridesmaids would ask them to fix things, only for them to rudely say things like, "no I think it looks fine" and refusing to fix it, or "honey your bangs are supposed to be sisters, not twins." What?! The worst part is yet to come. I had 11 ladies getting hair done. Thank goodness had a different and amazing make up artist who owned a different company. This kept me sane while bombshell's hairstylists were accusing us of lying and being rude. Anyway, I had 11 girls all listed on my contract with names and the final price. When the 11th girl showed up (they were almost done at this point), they said they finished everyone in the list and if I wanted her, I'd have to pay an extra $150. Mind you, she was on the list and already sent me her payment. As I'm getting my make up done, they send my bridesmaids in demanding total payment instead of asking in the beginning and saying I have to pay for her if I want her hair done, despite the fact she was already paid for. I told them I think they miscounted nicely, and they said, "no I already counted and know I did 5 and she did 6, so something isn't right" and accused me of lying despite saying everyone's name in the contract. They then had me line up everyone in a room (all while my make up artist was trying to do my make up) and started counting. Multiple times they counted the same person twice, and when we'd call them out on it, they'd deny it. Eventually, I had to ask everyone to raise their hands like we were in kindergarten and figured out that one of the artists was taking credit for a bridesmaid that the other artists did. So now, of course they apologize and then one leaves. All my bridesmaids hated their hair so much, they all redid it in the bathroom for themselves after paying $150 and the stylists refusing to fix it for them. I did like my hair, however my artist yanked my hair the entire time. Overall, the two artists were rude, rough, tried to take extra money for a bridesmaid that was already paid for, and the owner although friendly, was very pushy. I would not recommend this place. Save yourself the headache on your wedding day. Thank goodness I found my amazing make up artist who kept me sane the entire time. read more

This company has some amazing artists but I would not suggest this company at all. To start off I had my trial for $150 plus tip, Alexa did my makeup and Elizabeth did my hair. When I booked my wedding 9 months in advance I was very clear that I was not sure how many of my bridesmaids would want their makeup done. Scheduling the trail was challenging since they don't do them on Fridays, Saturdays or Sundays normally. Elisa the owner was nice enough to fit me in on a Friday afternoon for my engagement pictures, however it ended up being rushed. There was no time to look at different ways of doing my hair. A few month later I informed Elisa I would be the only one needing makeup and that all of my bridesmaids (5 in total) would get updos. I was informed at that point by Elisa that I could not have Alexa do my makeup. She tried to push for more girls to get their makeup done so it would be worthwhile for Alexa to come. This was very disappointing since I had done my makeup trail with Alexa. I felt that would have been fair to offer me complementary makeup trial with Elizabeth due to situation. I even offered to tip her. But that was not enough. Given what it would have cost me I decided to forgo having another trial which is decision I regret to this day. When it came to scheduling the times for wedding that was a challenge as well. It's very difficult to reach anyone or get a call back. I never received a final invoice so I even went to the extent of putting one together and asked Elisa to confirm. 4 days before my wedding I got a text for the total balance due which was totally wrong. I tried calling and texting but I got no response. I had to call the Elizabeth the day before my wedding to resolve the issue to avoid any confusion on the day of my wedding. I was also informed that could pay the final invoice with venmo and tip in cash. Elizabeth requested cash so I had to worry about finding a bank near my venue to take out more cash. On the day of my wedding I did not like my hair and makeup at all, primarily due to the fact that it was rushed and we never had an appropriate makeup trial. In all of my wedding pictures you can see that the contorting was done too much. There are white spots under my eyes and Smokey eyes were blended out too much. Elizabeth and Maria were on time and did amazing job on all of our hair. Elizabeth is great with makeup too, I feel like if we had a makeup trail together and more time my makeup would have come out better. read more

I never actually went through with using their services because after signing the contract with them, they were IMPOSSIBLE to get a hold of, once I took it upon myself to write a review on every wedding site to get my money back, the owner started calling me back, writing me back, etc. She tried to say what I was doing was defamation which I found a little comical. Then tried to bad mouth the girl I chose to use instead of her. She kept trying to get my address to send me a package and then got me involve in her and my current girls back and forth banter. I eventually had to block her number because she would call me non stop and blow up my text messages. It was extremely unprofessional... I was very happy that I went with Manuela by the end of it.
