It was a very painful experience, the technician Ann (who is also the salon owner) was extremely rough with my eyes and I had tears streaming down my face the entire time because she was scraping my lashes so roughly. As this was my first lash lift, I thought this may be normal practice so I just suffered through the appointment. The next day (my birthday) I woke up and my eyes were so swollen I could barely open them. I called the salon to ask the brand and specific product they had used on my eyes but they wouldn't tell me, nor did they offer any aftercare advice or a refund. I'm guessing whatever they used wasn't actually supposed to go near the eyes, or that she didn't properly clean the product off before the service was finished. This made me afraid to ever get a lash lift or tint again, but I ended up going last week to Ksthetics and it was an amazing experience. I felt no pain or discomfort during the appointment whatsoever, she was so gentle that I could barely even feel her working on my lashes. Furthermore, she properly cleansed my lashes afterwards and I experienced zero irritation and had no allergic reaction in the days following. This confirmed for me that Beautiful You salon does not use eye safe perm solution and does not properly wash off the product afterwards.
