In the midst of returning home from a road trip from Chicago I made a detour from the highway and came across this spot. The customer service was excellent the employees were very helpful and patient while I was ordering and offered recommendations. I love the atmosphere of the dining in area. It looks like a nice clean cafeteria, but everything matches and cool memorabilia on the walls. The ribs were VERY GOOD! The sauce was great and thinking it would go great on chicken wings I make as well lol. The only thing I was too found of was the mac n cheese. It has some type of crust on it that I didn't really like, but overall quality of food and service was A1. read more

Always a pleasure dining here! The staff was welcoming, the establishment was pristine. Our food was hot and made to order. I had the cole slaw, not creamy not totally vinegar base. Fresh with great crunch. If you want to pick something besides the ribs, the chili is a solid option hands down. It isn't filled with beans. They pack it with their amazing meat and seasonings. You will love it! I ordered the shrimp this time as I decided to try something new from the menu. I like to get a mix of their sauces on the side. I wasn't disappointed, they were cook perfectly and I ate every one without sharing. read more

Consistent quality in food, consistent quality in staff and service, and consistent good vibes all around. My partner and I come here once a month or so, and everyone is always so wonderful. The best barbecue I have ever had by far and large, and I've had a lot of true southern barbecue. read more

Pork ribs was really good as well as the pulled pork. There are 5 different sauces to choose from and the best one for me was the "bombers" sauce. Their garlic spread alone was a treat! The price was very reasonable and their portion is just perfect. I hope they'll open one in Los Angeles. It will for sure be a big hit! read more

Bombers BBQ is one of the best BBQ places I've ever been to!!! Why??? Because of their food!!! Duh.. especially their Burnt Ends!! Flavorful tender and OH SO delicious!! Their spare Ribs are good too. They have a multiple choice of BBQ sauces to choose from. My preference is the sweet BBQ sauce because it IS sweet but it has a little bit of heat on the end as you pass by, like yum!!!Oh,Ok. There service is quick and easy. They're friendly too, just don't stand in front making your mind up about what you want. They have a menu for you to read on the big wall in the front of the place. It's my favorite place to go to for BBQ!!! read more

I've been to a lot of different states and tried a lot of different bbq, but I'll be honest I didn't not think I was going to get the level of bbq I did in Indiana. This bbq was fantastic, and I don't mean the fantastic like compared to other bbq places in Indiana, I mean fantastic compared to bbq across a lot of states I have been to. Now I won't say this is the best bbq I have ever had because that would be a lie, but it was really really good, and if you are in the area you will be blown away. I can't wait to come back here sometime and grab some more bbq but it'll be a while before I'm back in Indiana. But go check em out if you are in the area, we'll worth the stop! read more

Best wings in Munster! Fast service, great french fries & barbeque sauce. The atmosphere is quiet & peaceful.

I may have had a bad experience. I have to try it again. I went there kind of late and I know BBQ need to be fresh and can dry out a bit. I'll be back and update, until then four stats for what I feel has good potential. read more

This is a solid barbeque place. Prices are reasonable. The ribs are the best. Sometimes the brisket can be a tad dry. The atmosphere is casual and comfortable. You order/pay, sit anywhere you like, and wait for your order to be called. They have different barbeque sauces to choose from but I think their house barbeque sauce is the best. read more

Bombers BBQ... you da bomb! All around 5 star experience. What brought me out to Munster, Indiana this past weekend ya say? 3 Floyds Brewery. Checking out the scene outside of Chicago, we figured why not stop for lunch somewhere out here while we're in the area. And Yelp did not fail us this time around... The number one most reviewed and highest rated spot in Munster: Bomber BBQ. We did a series of 2 and 3 meat plates between the three of us, and got to try some of their wings, pork ribs, brisket, pulled pork, and burnt ends. I kid you not, there was not one thing on the plate I did not enjoy. All of it juicy, moist, and so much flavor. My favorites of all of it were the pulled pork & burnt ends. In addition, their different sauces were great too (go easy on the atomic... that one got some kick to it). For sides, I had tried their mac n cheese and their vinegar based colesaw which were both great a breathe of air. Meat sweats are a for sure when here. Anyways, aside from the great food, staff was super friendly from when ordering to checking up on you at your table, and they also had quite a nice selection of craft beers that I could appreciate. If you find yourself in Munster, IN, I'd definitely save some room for this one! 'Til next time, cheers! 120/365 read more

Five star BBQ in Munster Indiana! We stopped in for the first time for a late lunch and found a new favorite. I recommend getting the rib tips dry and getting a couple cups of sauces to try. My rib tips were well seasoned and didn't need much sauce, though the sauces are so good, I dipped anyways. The dude's burnt ends were Kansas City quality - I'd take these juicy nuggets over any other place around Lake Michigan. And the other Yelpers are right, try the bang bang shrimp. They're lightly breaded, tossed in spicy- sweet bombers bbq sauce, and drizzled with spicy mayo. I thought they'd be too spicy for my spice-adverse guy, but he enjoyed it too. There's plenty of parking in back, beer coming soon. read more

This place was an excellent find. The food was nicely smoke and very tasty. All of the sauces were exceptional. I had the baby back ribs. They fell off the bone. The temperature of the ribs was a little off. Almost lukewarm. But still edible. The wings were off the chart. Smoked and then deep fried. Excellent seasoning, excellent temperature. The service was way above par. We ate the food there and we were checked on a few times to see if we were ok. My wife had the burnt ends in which she said they were not burnt enough and the didn't have a grill to fix it. Other than that. Excellent is what I say. read more

I have gone multiple times and the Baby Back Ribs are always on point. Keep up the great work!

Okay so my wife decided to try bombers herself. She gets two meats and one side for $25.00. She was so disappointed just by the amount of food in her container alone.six of the smallest rib tips with more bone and gristle than meat. Three small pieces of undetermined type of chicken with rice. Picture included untouched. You can go to Popeyes and get a meal with 2 tenders; 2 pieces of chicken; three 1/2 wings; 2 sides and two biscuits with an online coupon you can use in store for $12.99. There is no way that anything in that box justifies a price of $25.00. The taste didn't justify the price. She tasted it without sauce to get the real flavor and had better. Either they are skimping on the meat portions or has a broken scale but either way it's outrageously priced for its portions and its taste. Apparently looking at other reviews others say the same thing and the owners does nothing about our complaints because nothing has changed. Everything has gone up and like some other companies this place decided to put the extra cost on customers but with smaller portions and average taste. Too many better places in the area to get BBQ from than a place that charges you as much as a crab leg dinner at Red Lobster. At least there you get two side and AYCE cheddar bay biscuits. They don't even give you bread. read more

I visited this location twice. The first time I ordered online, and when I got there to pickup my order. There was a customer (Whiteman) at the register debating on what to order. The cashier (white woman) saw me come into the restaurant behind the white man. She never acknowledged me,and she avoided eye contact. I patiently waited 15 minutes before A guy from the kitchen came out. That's when I told him I had an order pickup. The cashier disregarded me because I was black. The second time was the same way . That's when I realized that they didn't want my money and that this establishment on cater to their kind. The food was not bad but if you're non white you might feel disrespected and uncomfortable eating from this place. read more

Yes, barbecue in NW Indiana.... I was surprised when some friends I had taken to Smoque in Chicago suggested we try this place out. They knew I love good 'que and I went with no small amount of trepidation. Count me as astounded! The place was fantastic! Everything we tried was delicious. Except the deep-fried Oreos. They were okay. Meets cooked with care, sauces full of flavor. Solid selection of a number of beers, too. Minor gripe, they ran out of a few things while we were in line, but it was a Sunday evening, so partly to be expected. read more

Awesome place. Great taste. Great staff. One if the best bbq places i have been too. This is the 1st time I has brisket sandwich that had good size pc. I had the mac n cheese bites, brisket sandwich with side of fries. Mac n cheese bites were cooked a bit to long but still had a great taste. The brisket sandwich was on an asiago cheese bun. A lot of meat for the price. They have 4 different sauces, I tried them all. I liked the bombers and st louis sauses. The atomic was good but killed the flavor of the meat. I will be back for sure. I have been coming to bombers BBQ since they opened. Their quality of food has gone through the roof. It started out very good and it has continually gotten better with each visit. They recently moved and with the move it looks like they upgraded a little bit. They now finally have enough food to last throughout the whole workday. You used to have to come early to make sure you could get some brisket or pulled pork. Now even if you come late you can get awesome food. The sides are as delish as the meats. They have good specials and offer a large variety of beer (not just bud and miller). Bench and bar seating is available in the brightly lit dining area. The benches are fairly long but if you have a group of more than say 10 people, you will have to sit at different tables as there is no sliding tables together. Enjoy your meal and remember to grab some wet wipes when you get your silverware. read more
