Wings are amazing. Recommend getting smoked with sauce on the side. Wish they offered a 10 piece. The come in 5,15 or 25.

Really good BBQ and Sides with quick service and good prices. Meat for 5 people $60. Rating. 8/10 Pros: Great Rib Tips, Quick service. Cons: Ribs were dryer (some people like that), don't forget sauces.

December's Tuesday special, chili mac & cheese, burrito, Brisket, mac & cheese chili and tortilla chips with a green onion creme, delicious. I hope they have this one on special again. It was awesome.

Came here for the first time on a Saturday early lunch afternoon. It is located in a strip mall where there are very few tenants and so the common parking lot behind. It is very large and full of ample parking. After walking in, there are lots of menus and be sure to take a look at the specials as well. While the staff was nice at the counter, I wouldn't necessarily say they were proactive or super friendly Food came out super fast. We only ordered two items and I think the highlight of the meal we definitely all the sauces at the self-service condiment bar. That also has the drinks that you also have to get for yourself. The tables are huge however it never got really crowded so we didn't actually have to do any communal dining, but I'm sure when they are busy prepare yourself for communal dining Pricing is very fair however, I did think the portions were a little bit on the smaller and considering the barbecue competition in that vicinity. This is still definitely a worthwhile visit and quality meats.

Smoked wings, pulled pork and smoked turkey. Very good. The fries and cold slaw were so good as well.

Great food and excellent customer service! I was in town for a business trip, and it was so good that I went back two days in a row. I will definitely be back for sure. .

    Double smash burger

My friend recommended this place. She stated they have specials throughout the week/month that may not be on the menu later. It was kind of hard to find because they are in back of another business. So you have to drive around into the lot. It's a Take out or sit down restaurant. I went during lunch and they seem to get busy during that time. There's about 7 tables for shared sitting and some tall table sitting. You walk in and order your food to go or there. They so sell beer for those that are interested. I had the double smash burger. It came with cheese, onions, and their special sauce. You can order a drink and side for an upcharge. The flavor of the burger was definitely there but the only reason I gave a 3 is because there was so much grease at the bottom of my burger it soaked the bun to the point it was falling apart and leaking grease. I couldn't even finish the burger. I did see a lot people order the brisket and smoked wings so next time I will have that.

Pulled rib sandwich with Mac and cheese and Bang Bang Shrimp.

Holy smokes! Amazing food from top to bottom. Got the daily special of pulled rib sandwich with a side of Mac and cheese; and the bang bang shrimp. The shrimp was cooked perfect and is a very generous portion for the dollar spent. Very clear why the sandwich is on the daily special list - succulent and delicious! The Mac and cheese had a nice crust and great texture. The service was quick and the cooks were very friendly when picking up the food. The restaurant was clean and had nice vibes with big tables. Highly recommended and a must stop when in The Region!

We recently ordered takeout from Bombers BBQ for a party of 7 and went with the X-2 Starbuster, which included 2 lbs of pulled pork, 1 lb brisket, 1 lb burnt ends, 40 wings, 2 full slabs of baby back ribs, and 4 quarts of sides. It was a lot of food for 7 people--we had plenty of leftovers that lasted us for days! For our sides, we chose the slaw, pork and beans, jalapeño cheddar cornbread, and sweet potato fries. While most of the meats were flavorful, we did find some of them on the dryer side, which was a bit disappointing. Overall, it was a solid barbecue experience, especially for a big group, though we would have appreciated a bit more moisture in some of the meats.

Being from Texas, BBQ anywhere outside of the state is always hit or miss but Bombers in Hammond Indiana is definitely a home run. They have a clean industrial interior and counter service. We reviewed the menu for a minute and my wife chose burnt ends and a side of coleslaw. I opted for the two meat plate with brisket and burnt ends with a side of deep fried corn on the cob. It took a few minutes for them to get our order out but it was definitely worth the wait. The burnt ends are to die for and the brisket is perfect with a nice smoke ring and great flavor. The best thing about the meal is they are proud of their meat as they don't try to hide it with sauce although they have several sauces available it's up to you whether or not to use any. If you're coming across the border from Chicago you'd be hard pressed to find better Bbq than what Bombers is offering.

$4 for that tiny order of fries.

One word, Disgusting! I have been going to Bombers since they opened. It was awesome, but the quality has gone way downhill since they opened. I ordered a brisket sandwich and a small order of fries. they fries themselves were $4, crazy. the cost of the whole order was over $20!! the Brisket was inedible, it was more dry than beef jerky. They are obviously re-serving meat that was smoked days before. Today's was worse that ever, I fed some to my dog and threw the rest out

Three meat plate. PP, brisket and BE. Chili and slaw.

We thought we would have to wait till we drove to Chicago for good food. This place is welcoming, charming and modern. I ordered the sea bass with vodka pasta and my husband the lamb lollipop with roasted potatos. Both were 10/10. We are very picky and self proclaimed foodies. For dessert we shared the tiramisu. It was good. 9/10 for small size and a tiny bit dry. The flavors were well balanced though. We sat on the Fiori side but had a choice of sitting on either side and can order from both menus. Their standard menu does not feature their vegan options, so we had to wait for the waitress to come back around again to ask for this. Unfortunately, the Vegan Chicken Breast was crossed off, so I'm not sure if that will be coming back. I went with the Vegan Reuben, a reliable standard, but it was terribly disappointing. It prompted me to pull up my photos from our previous dining experience there, and the sandwich looks so much more unappetizing. The current sandwich is wet, pale, and oddly sweet. The color and texture are so different, so I'm not sure what they've changed from their original recipe.

To get there from DeKalb by air, I had to dog-leg the flight over Cushing Field (to stay out of the Aurora and Lockport airspace) and then head east from there. Important note for pilots: If you are landing, try to make it to 9/27, or you'll have a long taxi up to the terminal where the restaurant is at. Once you are there (by AIR), you'll go to the far left end of the big building (you can see the beer signs in the window). Make sure you remember the CTAF (you'll need it to get back on the airport), and go through the gate, go up the elevator, and walk into the restaurant. Ambiance-wise, this place has large windows, a very large bar, a Namco Ms. Pac Man / Galaga game, bathrooms that are reasonably clean, some gambling machines, and decent food. I ordered their Pulled Pork Sandwich, which came with french fries. My wife ordered the Pulled Pork Plate, which came with cole slaw, garlic toast (2 pieces) and a green bean caserole. I ordered the pulled Pork Sandwich, and I ordered it spicy. It was not spicy by any definition. The amount of barbeque sauce provided was around a 1/2 of a shot glass. It was not enough. With that said, the barbeque was dry and needed the barbeque sauce. The fries were nice and fresh. My wife had the Pulled Pork Dinner. I sampled her cole slaw (with paprika, very good) and the green bean casserole - which seemed to use canned green beans, ugh. Very soft, the mouth feel was b l a h. Service was solid. Their most popular beers (ZD and Gumballhead) were available in Wisconsin, so I've tried both when I lived there. The brewery began in 1996, and moved to its current location (Munster, IN) in 2000. They opened a brewpub in 2005, and this was the destination my wife and I were heading for, as we were seeing a relative that night but had arrived early. Unfortunately, I didn't get the memo, as the brewpub has been closed since 2020 (that's six years ago), which is now blindingly obvious as I read more information about the brewery on my computer while researching for this review. Luckily, the folks working there were exceedingly kind, appreciating that we had come a ways to visit. Their small retail store is open, and we were able to pick up some merch (mostly stickers), a pack of playing cards ($12) as well as a six pack (in bottles) of their Robert the Bruce Scotch Ale (I knew about this beer but never had a chance to try it...quite good, especially for $11 for a six pack). I had also picked up some Scotch Ale earlier in the trip (Warped Speed from Lake Louie Brewing) so this trip was becoming beneficial to add to my beer collection at home...now need to find Founders Dirty Bastard (which is sold in my area) as well to have 3 of the Scotch Ale variety that I've tried and enjoyed. It was clear to the employees that we talked to, that they like the brewpub to reopen but don't know of any plans to move forward. 3 Floyds is doing quite well, expanding their distribution business, so sounds like that's the focus. There were many stories I found about plans to double the size of the brewpub and open a biergarten adjacent...but they were from 2023. As of now, couldn't find any other stories explaining the lack of movement since then.
