They're so helpful. And it's huge - they even have great treats for your four legged friend. (Sophia was too shy to eat hers in front of people but scarfed it down in the car) read more

Bomberger's Store - Bombergers - you've found it - Hardware Stores Near Me - Lititz, Pennsylvania

I just bought an electric lawnmower from Bombergers. The experience all around was outstanding. I made a few initial telephone calls and a live person answered all of my questions readily and completely. I visited the store and worked with Tristan, who was absolutely knowledgeable and great to work with. I went back the next day and bought the mower. Tristan was fantastic to work with. I felt like I got great service. He showed me completely how to set up and use. The mower. And the price I paid was exactly the same as I would've paid anywhere else, including Lowe's or Amazon. Highly recommended read more

Love this store! They always have what I need and can't find elsewhere. The staff is knowledgeable and very helpful...and I can get a chai tea when I am done shopping. read more

While the staff are typically very helpful I was there today in a downpour of rain. While trying to load my car with a large chair an employee stood there watching me struggle. He never offered assistance or even looked my direction. I was 5 feet from him while he stood there. It was very disappointing. read more

Bought a garbage disposal that ending up being faulty out of the box. I ended up getting a replacement with no hassle and they made sure the one they gave me looked in good condition. The cashier and hardware help desk were great and easy to work with. 20 mins after getting home and the replacement was in and working. A frustrating experience with a faulty item was remedied quickly. Thank you! read more

Went into the store today to pick up a snow blower and was helped by Tristan. On my way back to his section, three other employees asked me if I needed any help. The level of customer service is extremely high in this beautiful store. Tristan was very knowledgeable and helped me to make the right decision for my snow blowing needs. Great overall experience! read more

I like Bombergers. I really do, but the lack of any kind of military or veterans recognition- especially on Veterans Day was mighty disappointing. Cmon, everyone is showing their appreciation today. Just disappointed. I purchased $150 worth of stuff and it would have been appreciated. I might just be inclined to take my business elsewhere. read more

I don't know about you but I often find shopping at Home Depot an overwhelming experience. I long for the days of the hardware store of yesteryear. Imagine my happy surprise in finding Bomberger's Store. It is an ACE hardware store - a group of independently owned hardware stores that buy as a group and passes the lower prices on to the consumer. Don't forget to join their customer rewards program. This store sells everything I think I could ever need from barbecue grill to tractor lawn mowers From flooring to clothes line. There is a fully stocked paint department and a plant and flower area. The staff is very friendly and go out of their way to help. Oh did I mention there is also a small cafe should you need a shot of expresso or something to munch on. Definitely try Bomberger's you won't be disappointed. read more

Bomberger's used to be great, but not anymore. I had my Honda snow blower serviced there (as I have in the past) it came back leaking oil all over our new garage floor. They picked it back up and discovered they had not tightened the oil drain plug correctly. While they were picking up my snow blower I asked them to pick up my new Honda mower that starting poorly (and never has since the day I bought it). I purchased the highest end series of Honda mower from Bomberger's because the unit has a 6 year warranty. After they worked on my mower I was told the warranty does not cover the starting issues and they held my new mower hostage until I agreed to pay. I was never advised that there would be charges for my in-warranty service. I have been a customer for years and made many purchases there, in sales, service and rental but I will not be going back after this awful experience. read more

Your typical "Shop local" hardware store. Pros: * pretty good selection * *attentive employees Cons: * Typical Mennonite / church thumping weekend hours. (8am-5pm Sat, closed Sunday) * 'Kyle' at the service desk * prices are higher * employees seem to follow you around the store. You either feel stalked or you feel like a felon. Bombergers will do in a pinch. But I rather do the chain stores. (Lowe's, Home Depot). read more

If I could give zero stars I would. If you are looking for an honest mechanic to work on your lawnmower or other item, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!! I have shopped at this store since it was in Elm and normally have been very happy with the service offered. However, over the years it is getting worse and worse. I had a push lawnmower that was flooded for 10 to 20 minutes a few weeks ago in the floods that happened here in Lititz. Due to a recent surgery I physically could not do the repairs that were needed so I dropped it off to have them check it out. When they finally got in-touch with me they informed me it would be $160 to 'fix' the mower. It would need a new spark plug, a new carburetor, and the oil changed. The next words out of the persons mouth where they could not say if it would last too long and or a few more dollars (almost twice as much) they could sell me a new mower. I asked if they were going to empty the gas tank and check the cylinder while they had the spark plug off to make sure there was no water in either. I was told no, they did not do that and they were not going to open the motor. I understand they are not going to open the mower, but the gas tank should be emptied and how hard is it to tip the mower to make sure no water is in the motor? Maybe even put some dry gas in there to make sure. They are not mechanics, they are salesman first and parts replacers second. A mechanic would have known a few quick things would have fixed this mower. When I decided to take the mower to a real mechanic, I was told there was a $40 diagnosis fee. You have got to be kidding me. I told you what was wrong, I told you what needed to be done and now you are going to charge me that fee. Okay, I understand there was some time invested. You charge what $70/hour for repair work, you are telling me you spent 35 minutes looking at a mower that the owner told you everything you needed to know. I think not. You are thieves!!!!! I will work to take my business to the other honest stores in the area since this store has lost its way over the years and new generations. It is sad to see a good store go the way of other large thieving corporations!! read more

Not bad for an Ace Hardware at all! There's actually a lot of history to this store. Go visit look around and you'll see some interesting facts. Otherwise it has a large selection from tile to paint to candles to saws. Customer service is good and this place is worth a return trip again and again. It also has a little cafe inside for a quick bite to eat. But keep in mind the store and cafe are closed on Sundays. read more

Living in lititz and working on home improvements I thought it would be easy and helpful to browse our local hardware store for some items. I found the store not easy to navigate and having pieces but not all parts. A plumbing section, one would think, would have the tubing or piping for the fittings sold - no. Trimwork or anything more than small balsa wood pieces? Nope. Quart cans of stain or sealer for small exterior work? Not there. And the two people I asked for help couldn't help me nor did they find someone who could. If I ever need a yeti though, that would be the place. read more

What can you review about an Ace hardware. Store is clean and people here seem helpful. A lot of products for yards here.

I'm glad to report that Bombergers, in conjunction with the John Deere Co., has resolved my "tire issue" fairly. It took a letter to the owner of Bombergers to get results, but in the end a fair and equitable settlement was reached. Except for this "tire" incident, I've generally been pleased with Bombergers. read more

Bought my John Deere lawn tractor at Bomberger's 8 years ago. Recently, it wouldn't start (turned out to be a bad coil). When I called to make an appt to get it fixed, I was told, "Sorry, we're not taking any new repair work." How's that for customer service? The lady said even if they would take on a new repair job, it would be at least 10 weeks till they might get to it. Summer would be over by then. I'm done with Bombergers. read more

Been using this store for years for products and services. They always gouge my wallet, but the service is awesome. Love Ken!! Dori...not so much. :P read more

I had an absolutely horrible experience dealing with this business. I brought in a mower and asked for the belts to be changed. I even supplied the belts that were needed! It had a brand new battery also!! Not only did they tell me it would be a waste of money to repair the mower, but they also claimed it would cost well above $200 to get it to working condition and offered to scrap it for me and sell me another mower!!!! ( This mower was old, but working when I brought it in). They charged me $25 to "help" me by giving me this "advice"!! When I questioned the charge, they refused to reduce the charge in any way and threatened to send me to collections if I didn't pay them. The customer service "manager" was the rudest individual I have spoken to in years. Needless to say I will never go back. read more

Let me begin with I love the employees at the store. They always greet you and are there to help if you want it. I love to browse through the store, besides hardware they have some great things. However, they are more expensive than the big box store. This is understood by the quality of work and merchandise. I am talking about carpet and flooring. I had a remnant carpet installed and the job was great, reasonable too. Now my problem, I wanted flooring installed in my kitchen and two bathrooms. The estimate came in much higher than I could afford. I has shown some less expensive flooring but still the installation cost was very high. I inquired about just having one bathroom, which desperately needed replacement, done. To date, I haven't had a response. Poor customer service on the part of the installer, who works for the store. I am disappointed, I expect more from such a great business. read more

I heard this was a good hardware store and since it was in my community I thought I would give it a try... After three visits I am realizing the employees that work here are more interested in each other than helping customers. Twice I could have used help finding something only to be ignored and passed by, by workers. I will resume giving my hardware business to my old hardware store which is a bit farther away, but there I always get a greeting and there is plenty of help to be found. read more

The employees here are always willing to help, and they have hard to find things. We love to support this local hardware store and always hit up the deals on clearance and Carhart! Watch for the fill a bag sales; they're great! read more

Bombergers is great. They walk me through all my home improvement projects. They always are friendly and very nice even when I am asking what are probably very basic questions. I had bombergers install carpet and linoleum in my new house. They had subcontractors do the work. The quality of the work was poor and I would not recommend them for any flooring work. They had to some back multiple times to repair the work that the sub contractors did. read more

2 years ago Bomberger's replaced the flooring in our kitchen. Recently we had a new dishwasher installed and the flooring they installed didn't go far enough under the old dishwasher and it showed a ragged edge that was easily visible in front of the new dishwasher. In addition the plastic cove molding they installed under the counter was loose and falling off. So we went there to buy some molding to match thinking we could replace what was falling off and add a piece in front of the new dishwasher to hide the ragged edge. Since 2 years had passed we expected to pay. One of the managers overheard us asking for the molding and asked about why we needed it. When we told him he said they'd take care of replacing the molding and in addition when he found out we kept some of the leftover tile he said they'd replace that so it went under the new dishwasher because he didn't recommend putting a piece of plastic molding in front of the new dishwasher. THIS WAS DONE ALL AT NO CHARGE!! They quickly came out and and made everything 100% right. FANTASTIC CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! read more

What can I say? Amazing prices, and the food you get for those prices cannot be beat. Daily soups made fresh that day, and they are all so good. They were busy, so it did take a little longer than expected to get our food, but it was hot and fresh. More than you bargain for from a hardware store. I like stopping there for my morning coffee, and a quick lunch. Nice people, too. read more

I am only referring to their repair department. I took in a 5 year old power washer that did not start and asked them to get it running but not to spend more that it was worth. They did call about a $230 part if I wanted the soap suction pump to work. I said thanks for calling but no that is more than the it's worth. He said it was done but did not know how much it costs. I go in to pick it up and after they take 15 minutes to figure up the bill it is $200. They said it was old gas. That was not true as I run it empty in the fall and just put fresh gas in it. They should have called and been honest. It's only worth $150 and now I paid $200 with NO notice. I will NEVER go there for anything!!! Plus I had to wait 10 minutes for the only guy that could figure up my bill while he talked about a $5 gas can to some other customer. Then he was just curt about the entire situation. read more

This store is laid out well, the employees are extremely helpful and knowledgeable, prices are reasonable, and they have lots of great inventory. I've never left without finding exactly what I walked in for. Besides the usual tools, painting supplies, etc they have a great little cafe and area for gifts, home decor and what not. Highly recommend. read more
