    Making naan bread

I used to go to Bombay Pantry in Rathmines when I lived there. That was years ago and I remember loving it. Tonight we decided Indian food would definitely hit the spot before starting the week and we googled Bombay Pantry. Delighted there was one closed by we ordered the meal for 2 for €23. Great value with a starter with dips, 2 main courses (chicken or veggie) and rice or naan (freshly made, you can see the guys making them from the window!). I got the chicken korma and it was amazing. The husband was actually jealous. Thankfully the portions are generous enough and I gave him some of my dish without being resentful. Service is a bit slow but that's the price to pay for freshly made food right? Well worth the wait, also I already have my order ready for next time.

They have an amazing vegan selection! The service was pretty swift, and I enjoyed the food. Overall, it was great!

Good quality ingredients. Could put more meat in the lamb dishes. Definately less than a year ago.

I would highly recommend Bunsen Burgers. Very friendly staff and quick service. We sat on the patio and it was a beautiful day, quiet, easy to have a conversation between the four of us. During our research before we left we saw a video talking about Bunsen. Just seeing the high quality of the ingredients made it one of our must try stops in Dublin. As we do when traveling, we start and end the day eating throughout the day. We popped into Bunsen to finally try the legendary burger around 4:30 pm. Because we were there at such an odd hour, we were the only people there. When you visit Ireland, the pub culture is real and most pubs start to get quite busy around 5:30 pm. Since Bunsen isn't a pub and wasn't located in a particularly touristy area , it didn't surprise me they were empty at that time of day. What stuck out the most at first was the super friendly service right from the door. We were sat at a small banquet of tables against the wall and checked out the menu from QR code link on the table. We were there for their original burger so that is what we ordered. No sides and water to drink. I couldn't be filling up too much yet. It was pretty early after all and we had a lot of places to stop yet. The menu isn't huge. They focus on doing one thing well and keep it at that. I like a restaurant that doesn't try to be everything. Our burger came out within 10 min and it was juicy, hot and fresh. Presented beautifully wrapped. We shared this one burger because, we knew we had lots of food to eat later. Immediately after eating the last bite I wanted to order another. It was really that good. Such perfection! This will be the burger I compare all others in Ireland to.

Located as it is in Donnybrook, this particular Eddie Rocket's is located in the heartland of the chain's core customer base: bored, posh teenagers, with little else to do but sit around in Eddie's all day. Sit in a booth and watch as the girls flick their hair incessantly, observe the boys in their rugby jerseys and school hoodies act the maggot in order to impress the girls. Often, these kids have very little money, having spent it all in Brown Thomas earlier on in the week, so you will sometimes see about twelve of them sitting in a booth with two portions of chili-fries between the lot of them, whereupon the usually pleasant but in this instance slightly harried Chinese manager will boot them out. And be sure not to go there on Saturday evenings, as this is when "the Wezz" is on, "the Wezz" being a junior disco, when scores of inappropriately dressed children will descend upon the place and talk in exaggeratedly posh voices (is it Friday or Saturday that the Wezz was on? It's been so long since my time there that I've forgotten). So, if you're planning on writing a Ross O'Carroll-Kelly-esque series of books, or want to conduct a sociological survey on south Dublin teens, then Eddie Rocket's in Donnybrook is the place to go. On the other hand, if you just fancy a bit of grub, perhaps head along to any of the other outlets of this fine establishment if this is at all possible.

Served in true fast food joint style, fries on paper plates and tightly wrapped bundle containing the burger. Washing up overhead nil. We both had cheeseburgers with handcut fries after agonising for literally seconds over our choice. Service was brisk and meals appeared within a few minutes. I have a 'thing' about burgers. I like my steaks medium rare but I always insist on a well-done burger for hygiene reasons which, in fairness, this was. My companion had ordered hers medium but it looked very much on the rare side to both of us but she was happy enough. Frankly, I thought it was all pretty meh. Nothing memorable or good enough to drag me back. The burger bun did maintain structural integrity throughout the process which was a plus but the whole thing was decidedly only ok. It was cheap, however, so there's that. Apparently, they have long waits at busy times. No idea why and I'd be furious if I had had to wait in line for a mediocre burger.

Luckily they have it down to a science and were turning tables so fast the line was moving along steadily. We were given probably 2-3 minutes before a sever came up to take our order. Then since it is a concert night they ask you to pay before the food comes out. (No worries to us.) The service was good and the atmosphere was definitely dinner vibe. My girls got a Bacon Big Boy (hot dog with bacon and cheese) and the other a kids quesadilla meal. My husband got the smokestack burger combo and I opted for the tender basket with bacon and cheese on my fries. We also opted for a few milkshakes to share. I got a vanilla, my daughter got an Oreo and my hubby got a Rocher shake. (I will say the rocher shake was my favorite.) We were not able to eat everything as it was all so filling. My daughter asked if we could come back again tomorrow.
